Not entirely correct. There are paper filings that also get assigned IOE receipts if they are processed electronically.

Ok. But there's going to be an appointment for biometrics so make sure she plans this well and return before the biometrics appointment. There could be bumps in the road but take inspiration from post below. Read it carefully. -

I agree with@Crazy Catbut I will do it in reverse. Essentially apply online right now to renew greencard. With online filing you should get a receipt usually within a week or less. The receipt will grant automatic 24month extension. The greencard together with the receipt should get you to board a flight with less hustle. -

Since you can provide everything asked for except the State ID/Driver's License go ahead and submit those. For any other documents, you can add these if you have them and they can show your NJ address - car registration, auto insurance doc, health insurance doc/EOB, 401K/retirement account docs, investment account, credit card statements. Essentially any other important documents that may contain your address. The more substantial documents you submit, the better they bolster you case. Good luck. -
I-130 for wife but not for child. 'The petition you have filed does not allow derivative status for family members. This means that any spouse, unmarried child under age 21, or parent will require their own petition to immigrate."

She's outside the US so the only option right now is to file I-824 so the case can be transferred to NVC. Good luck. -

Then I don't think you should have any issues. I assume form N-14 is asking you for more proof so you shouldn't you issues proofing that. What does the N-14 say? -

Thanks for the clarification. Removal of conditions is the right terminology. Change of Status is a different thing altogether. -

What do mean filed for change of status? What form did you fill for this? -

We both file tax returns jointly and I want to know who to include in the "3 most recent tax" (24.a)section of I-864, which requires the annual gross income. Should I put zeros in this section since I'm unemployed, or should I include my wife's annual gross income since we file tax returns jointly? - Directly from your joint tax return. Your zero income goes to Part 6, Question 7. Also add your wife to part 6 person 1. Additionally, I discovered that I have to submit the I-864A along with my I-864 form because I'm using my wife as a household member's income to sponsor my father. Can you confirm whether this is correct or not? - Your wife will fill I-864A (though both of you will sign) and you'll fill I-864. -

Op, you must be a resident of the State or district where you are applying for 3 months before you can apply for naturalization. How did you proof this requirement in application or interview? You were not approved on the stop because the officer believes you didn't meet this requirement because your drivers license said so. Plus as LPR, USCIS requires you to inform them of new address whenever you move. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-d-chapter-6 "In general, an applicant for naturalization must file his or her application for naturalization with the state or service district that has jurisdiction over his or her place of residence. The applicant must have resided in that location for at least three months prior to filing." -

Agree; and they'll need a waiver to be exempt. Below are those who might qualify for a waiver: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-1-part-c-chapter-2 "A person may qualify for a waiver of the fingerprint requirement if he or she is unable to provide fingerprints because of a medical condition,[27] including but not limited to disability, birth defects, physical deformities, skin conditions, and psychiatric conditions.[28] Only certain USCIS employees are authorized to grant a fingerprint waiver." However, for N400 only the following groups are exempt from the biometrics fee. They'll still need to attend a biometrics appointment or have that appointment waived due to previously supplied fingerprints. Everyone else will have to pay the biometrics fee. https://www.uscis.gov/n-400#:~:text=%24640.,See exceptions below.) "Exceptions: +Applicants 75 years of age or older do not need to pay a biometric fee. They only need to pay the $640 filing fee. +No filing fee or biometric services fee is required for military applicants filing under section 328 or 329 of the INA." -

Another trend is the subtle nudge to make people file online by making online filing fees less than paper filings. With the eventual goal of killing off those paper applications and making more forms available online. -

I believe applicants of age 75+ years do not need to pay a biometric fee. Perhaps the without biometrics is in reference to this group.
