  1. Thanks @andreaam! I almost have everything, only need to transfer ownership of our SUV from my brother in law name to my husband and I, a copy or document that I'm co-tenant under our rent lease apartment, The affidavit of support, and bank letter/statements.

I added pictures since I arrive in april, 2019 until present. Also our WhatsApp chats/call logs, Facebook biography posts where friends and family commented our wedding pictures or Christmas wishes, this docs are basically what I need to translate, fortunately all legal docs are already translated and certified. Thanks for the info! And will keep you guys updated 😊

    Our Interview notice arrived today.
March 12th. We live in Queens but the Interview is scheduled in Manhattan.
    I can’t wait!

Yesterday my case updated to "we're scheduling your interview appointment", @andreaam how long it took your appointment letter to arrive to your home?, and how many weeks you have from the date you got the letter to the actual interview date?. I'm a little nervous because I still need to translate documents for the interview as well as some proof we still don't have, hope I have enough time to complete everything.

I'm trying to find an interpreter Spanish-English for my husband, I'm the foreigner but he is not that fluent so if gets nervous because of the interview itself, at least want him to be sure he will understand every question and the USCIS rep will understand his answers. If anyone knows a licensed interpreter in NY for the USCIS interview I will strongly appreciate it.

I'm also in Queens, I think they will send me to Manhattan as well. 😊

I just got the Interview scheduled!! OMG I can’t believe it!! Is this real?? I should be getting a letter in the mail soon.

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you after all you've been throughout this process and how USCIS really messed up your case.

You're more than ready for this! Keep us posted. Just a little more and you're good to go 😊

I see the light at the end of the tunnel now haha

Congratulations!! Hope to see the same light at the end, where is your interview gonna be?, please keep me posted about the interview schedule date and your interview experience, plz.

Here 13 days without an EAD answer after applying for the card typographical error and still no interview notice.

@andreaam and @Fer Schvarztman, I cannot understand if you agree or disagree with eachother. What is the point of finding P3 instructions on the website if we must wait to hear from them? I have P3 all finished, as well as DS-160, and God only knows how long it'll take before we finally hear from the Embassy...

Just like @andreaam said, I didn't wait for the Embassy to send me the P3 instructions because I knew I needed time to prepair all the evidence, translations and legal docs.

Then I did the medical exam and after that I fill out DS160 and paid to be able to schedule the interview appointment (needed to contact them to open new dates because the system was not showing any).

This is how I proceed, I'm not saying there is one way to do this, hope this clarify your doubt and sorry if I confused you.

They likely won't need it at the interview if you already submitted it with your packet. We brought the whole copy of our packet with us to the interview and they didn't ask to see any of it.

Yes I did send it with AOS packet. Do you know if I must add my co sponsor affidavit of support for the interview? We sent an Affidavit of support form co-sponsor and sponsor with the AOS papers, I think it'll do but just trying to doble check. Thanks so much!

Wait to fill ds160 and scheduling interview until the reach out to you.

you can email them asking for next steps and they will answer back with the packet3 instructions. At that point they are saying that they are ready to take your case.
    Im from Córdoba too :)

Also you can find the P3 instructions in the US Embassy web page. Thanks @andreaam for answering, she knows best I'm from Buenos Aires

    Let's keep it up girls!

This is a very good question, I also would like to know.

In my case got NOA 1 back in July, did Biometrics in August, got my EAD in January with my married last name misspelled, so had to return it to the USCIS office in Lee's Summit MO, and now I'm waiting for them to send me a knew one or they will ask me to apply for EAD again.

My AOS application has no new update since September that they "corrected my last name", hope they did right.. so still waiting, no AOS interview yet

Yes I know about your situation. That’s why I’m saying it really doesn’t matter how cautious you are, if they want to mess it up they will. Is not up to you anymore.
I also read the other day that there’s less government budget this year for immigration process. So that means less people working and more waiting time.
when is your interview? Is in Queens?

You're totally right, less budget, same people and 3 times the workflow expected.

I'm a little concerned about the interview date, I've seen lots of July fillers getting their interview notice and I have no update till september 2019, but I read my Benefit Center in Lee's Summit MO, has lots of complaints and as far as I've seen in google comments,  they take forever, so I believe it'll be in April-May 2020. Do you have an interview date?

I apostilled and translated my Acta too and still got the RFE. So is just a matter of luck for me at this point. It doesn’t matter how well you prepare you package. From what I reading in other threads, USCIS is really messy right know

Unfortunately yes, they are I think they are really overloaded with work. As you know they messed up my EAD. They sent me a message saying they will review my petition, so hope they will knowledge the error and send a new one for me, if not I'll have to start all over again 😩

    Good luck!

No, I don’t think we have that, now I am so confused. VJ just keeps confusing us more.

So true! In my experience for the Embassy interview I had my birth certificate instead of the acta and they told me I would be approved if I was able to send a copy of the acta de nacimiento, because se birth certificate has no legal value under the US law. So I got my approval delayed a week until they received and checked the acta I sent to the Santa Fe building, not the embassy. I did translate and also did the Haya apostille to be able to use it once I arrived to the US.

For AOS I sent a copy of the acta again, and didn't get any RFE so far, I think you will be ok with what you have.

  13. @Moe428 congratulations!

Thanks for the interview review. One question you mentioned adding a joint affidavit of support with your wife only, by any chance do you know if k1 Visa Co-Sponsor must also file an Affidavit of support for interview?.

I'm still not able to work because the MO Center sent my EAD Card with a typographical error on my married last name, so I don't think I will be able to add economical support to our household soon.

  14. Good morning everyone! I'm getting all my papers ready for AOS Interview, have no appointment yet but still is nice to get everything in advance.

    Question:

Does anyone know if we need to add an Affidavit of support from my K1 Visa co-sponsor?. Because, even though my husband works, the co-sponsor tax return was required to fill out the AOS petition as well. Hope my interview is not that soon as other July fillers because my co-sponsor is out for vacations overseas. 😅

  15. @WickedWorld in my experience I didn't wait for them to send packet3 instructions. I searched on the US embassy for the  P3 instructions to start having everything ready, did medical with my passport, then sent p3 to the US embassy in person, with copy of my passport and petitioner passport pages plus other paperwork, and after paying the Visa Fee they opened dates for me to schedule my visa Interview. I don't remember quite well, but I think they took like 2 to 3 weeks to review my paperwork, and I sent a very big, thick binder with copies and I also had, still have another binder with all the originals (I took this binder to the interview just in case they could ask for any original. The consul only asked for my husband's original birth certificate, he thought my husband was an Immigrant with greencard  instead of a citizen born in the states.).

Don't worry for timeframes, if you have sent P3 and already have an interview scheduled they will review it before you actually attend the interview. If they can't, your interview date could be rescheduled by the US Embassy and of course the beneficiary should be notified. (So far I had never seen this scenario happen, they have always made it for you not to have any delays)

So sad it shouldnt take them more than 90 days to review the evidence(BC) i sent them back in Sept(which they marked received in Oct) i think im going to contact my congress office on Monday.... My husband and i have been patient and trying to stay positive but i must admit i am ready for him to start working i have been supporting us since he arrived in May and although we are fine another income in the house would be great.....

Guys, also check all your notices for EAD Card. I've been waiting for 7 months just to get my EAD Card with a typographical error on my married last name. This issue started since my biometrics notice of action arrived with this issue, tried to have it correct it but they made a new typographical  mistake on the approval EAD notice and of course on my EAD Card as well.

This means the same day I got it (Jan 10) had to send it back to the USCIS Benefit Center in Kansas, and now I have to wait to see if they acknowledge the error as theirs or if they address the error to me. If it is their's they will correct it and send it back to me at no cost (this could take months) or they will ask me to apply again for a new EAD from scratch and pay the Fee...and this will take another 7 months.

I'm sharing this just for you to avoid this kind of issues...I'm getting so frustrated to be waiting such a long time, not being able to do pretty much anything and not being able to add money to our household. 😔😩

Hope you have a better experience than mine

Oh ok! Thanks! I was checking online, just to see options, and there is something else called " CERTIFICADO DE SOLTERIA", maybe that works too?

The " CONSTANCIA  NEGATIVA DE MATRIMONIO"  I read you can do it in the city where you live and takes aprox 15 business days. Just what you said.

So maybe I could go the first one?

    Thanks!

Yes, that one will work just fine 😊

  18. 17 minutes ago, Jonnat said:

Gracias @Fernanda R Sanz hay que presentar también un certificado si nunca estuviste casado? Dónde te lo dan?

Is not mandatory but I did anyways, sent a copy with the P3 and had the original just in case if the Consul asks for it, but in my personal experience he didn't.

I'm from Buenos Aires, so I had to go to registro de Las personas in La Plata to do it in person so you get it the same day,if not, I had to wait a month (that's what the lady said in Lomas de Zamora) it costs more but you get it for sure with no delays. When I did it, the cost was $500 pesos. If you are from Buenos Aires, when I'm back home I can send you all the steps I did.

  19. @andyazcu hey! I didn't wait for the US Embassy to notify me, as soon as the NVC sent me the notification that the US Embassy received my packet, I asked my husband (fiance at that time) to call the US Embassy in Argentina ( is faster)  or contact them by email (that's what we did) they took a week to answer back and that gave me the chance to move forward with the medical exam appointment. Also check my timeline If you wanna see the dates and my Consular Interview review. Hope this helps!😊 Good luck!

I was wondering where had you been haha. Hopefully everything is going well. Have you filed for aos? For our medical we weren't sure what to do and ended up doing it again here with a civil surgeon. It was t that cheap, around 380 dollars, but with the paper my wife had from POE we didn't want to take any risk.

Thanks @Javier Mera, I'm glad to be back 😊

I sent the Medical DR Grillo gave us, because it was still in the 1 year validity period, but I know the Medical will be already expired for the interview, I don't have any date for that, but started to get everything organized. I'm trying to avoid doing the exam because I imagined it wouldn't be cheap. How did you do the exams? I thought I needed to be scheduled by USCIS for that.
