I called USCIS once and they said there's no information. So, just last week I reached out to our Congressman to ask him to make an inquiry. It's now been 60 days as of today!

I reached out to my Congressman the other day to see if he can help. Day 53 since our Green Card interview at the Baltimore field office and still not a word since.

Tomorrow will be 40 days since our Green Card interview in Baltimore and absolutely no word since. Everyone here who had their Green Card interview after me in Baltimore, has already received their Green Card.  It’s completely baffling!!!

Wow! It's crazy how long the wait is for SOME! I know 4 people who had their Green Card interview after me in Baltimore and they only waited 2 weeks to get their Green Card. Baffling!

Yes, I have an account on both USCIS sites, and I am already signed up for Informed Delivery with USPS. No plans on moving.

And the part that is even more baffling...it's not everyone that has to wait so long! I know 3 other people on this forum who had their Green Card interview after me, at the Baltimore office, and they only waited 2-3 weeks for their approval and they have their Green Card already. It makes NO sense!! I'm going to reach out to my Congressman again to see if he can make an inquiry. I just want to be done with this process for awhile. I thought once the interview was scheduled, that would be the beginning of the end...but NOPE!

I've called 3 times since my interview (before I had my EAD approval) and that didn't speed anything up with my Green Card. I would say it's a coincidence that you got your update the same day lol. I will try calling them tomorrow to see what they say though. It certainly cannot hurt!

    Hello,

From personal my experience and what I read on VJ for the Baltimore office, if they did not approve you on the spot, yes it is normal not to hear anything for while at this office, you should expect an answer or follow up after 3-4 months. And you dont hear anything back please call to schedule an Infopass to make an inquiry.
I havent seen a lot of activity from this thread or other Baltimore threads for a while now, I think most people just dont come back after getting approved or we are not a big number here on VJ.
In the mean time,  If you havent done so, please make sure to create an account with USPS informed delivery, it is free and you can do it online, make sure to create accounts on both: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displaySignUpStep1.do and https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/
If you move please make sure to file an AR-11 online asap and also please fill one AR-11 for each receipt numbers.
Also please keep up with updated  USCIS policy because some employees are not aware of them.

Let me explain why I am saying that: In my case, it has been almost a year now since my interview (adjusting from B2, interview was June 26 2018) and I havent had an answer yet. They sent me a RFE at the end of April 2019, probably triggered by us moving and filing the change of address. After getting lost for a while I finally received the letter 1 month and a half letter and they requested a new I-693 but the one I gave last year is still valid because they changed the validity for medical exams to 2 years in October 2018.
When I called to speak to an IO and tell them I do not understand why they are requesting a new medical exam from me because I already provided one in hand in hand to the immigration officer last year and it is still valid because the validity has changed and, it is now 2 years. The officer was surprised and even started to argue with me, I told him to double check, When he did verify, he realized his mistake and he even told me "well I learn something thanks to you". Can you imagine how many people got wrong information from him?!
Anyways all this to say, please stay on top of it, call every month if needed, to check on the status, and if you dont get approved after the 4 months please go talk to somebody at the field office
    Good luck

Thanks for your response. I didn’t exactly “wait till I got here”. I had no plans of immigrating here when I came on B1/B2 so I couldn’t have planned for my credit score beforehand. The decision came way later. Anyway from what you’ve described it’s doable. I don’t see it as hard at all. I think when you’ve taken on this entire AOS process and conquered it you become fearless and extra patient.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate your answers! I'll try to put one in as soon as the EAD passes the processing time. Seems like at this rate it may coincide with the 60 days anyway...

Meh. That doesn’t really make much sense to me. I know the SSN head office is in Maryland, and I can see me getting my SSN day or two quicker than most because of how close I am, but it doesn’t make sense why it takes 10 days for others. USPS isn’t that slow that it takes 8 extra days to receive a letter from a different state. In unrelated news, my EAD card arrived today.

I am shocked! My updated SSN card (with my married name) arrived today, before my EAD card!! I was most worried about having to wait longer for the SSN card. EAD card will be arriving tomorrow or the next day!! ☺️

If you are out of normal processing time, and it won't allow you to put in an inquiry online, if you call USCIS they can put one in for you. That's what I had to do. I was outside or normal processing times by 12 days, and it still wouldn't let me put in an inquiry online. They did it for me when I called and explained it to them though.

When I go on the request outside normal processing time website it says:

    "
NOTE: We are actively processing your case if, in the past 60 days, you:
Received a notice from us about your case, Responded to a request for evidence, OR Received an online update to your case status. "
And I think I read people here or on another forum saying that you can't put a service request in since they had an update within the last 60 days. Am I mistaken?
