From my understanding, if you select yes, then you will have to wait a Long time before you get your ssn.
And if you want to use your ssn to apply for drivier license or renew it, or in other circumstances to use your physical ssn card, you will have trouble.
just spend sometime at SSA to get your SSN replaced. You will find it more convenient.
 

A week plus the time to get the combo is long. You can never guarantee people do not need SSN during this time period. Without SSN, a lot of things could not be done. And since this person has already got SSN before, it is not difficult to get a replacement card. And if this person thinks 4 weeks are long, actually by selecting yes in that question, it is much longer than 4 weeks when a replacement card could have been sent.

I already have my SSN in my maiden name and the OP explained that they just applied for their's too. I was explaining why it is helpful to to select "yes" to obtain a replacement SSN card in your married name as 99.999% of the time they will not issue a card in your married name until your Combo Card is approved. 
I will refrain from quoting anything you post in future as this isnt the first time you have taken my post the wrong way. 
A week is not a long time considering how long we have waited so far. And it's not fair to tell the OP it will take a long time by being ambiguous either.

It works perfectly with me and also notifications come in email.

That's was not my experience but crazy things happen all the time with USCIS.

i got our interview date today guys(k1&k2)😊😊our interview will be January 11,2019..13 days after our biometric.

I am in Florida and their guidelines ask for an I485 to be supported by an I130 which is not applicable to us. I showed them my biometrics appointment letter with the stamp that I had completed my biometrics and they said I will get a license for a year. So try that, it might work.

So we all should’ve moved to Florida and then applied? 😂 I much prefer this waiting game over the k1 since my husband is in the same country! What state are you in?

So frustrating that every office can differ so much!

we sent our aos october and had biometric today. 😊

Case status for my husband's I-485 updated to the "ready for scheduling the interview'. NOA date - Nov - 22. His biometric was done 2 days ago. 

Lol. It's probably because we all are a little more capable of doing our own research this time around and aren't so friggin clueless as we once were.
I dont have much to do. My husband works 2nd shift, sleeps from 8 am til 4. Bored is an understatement hence my quick replies.

NOA hard copy letters received today...AND biometrics appointment letter received today! My biometrics appointment is November 13!! Notice date is 10/26/18...one day after they charged the fee! ☺️

Just read up on what priority dates with USCIS mean if you are worried. It's an easy Google with lots of info. 🙂

Interesting. Quite possibly she has a military spouse and is under expedition and they use priority dates in their expedition situations.
Or somebody either who is a perfectionist or incompetent is working on her case.

Yup. It says received when I look it up. Just no AP letter today. Maybe it got sidetracked in the mail somehow, and it will arrive tomorrow. 🤞🏼

So received the NOA1 hardcopies today. 
Text/email on Oct 29th.
NOA1 receipt date for all 3 is Oct 22nd. 
They mailed the hardcopies from the NBC on Oct 30th and I received them today (Nov 2nd).
Can feel it moving along this time even if it isnt. I like it😀

EAD and AP are processed at NBC and when they are done at NBC, they transfer your file to your local field office. 
The center where you go for your biometrics is not necessarily the one where you will go for your interview. In my case they were 2 totally different locations. Where you go for fingerprint is a ASC: Application Support Center. Where you go for your interview is called a Field office. 
So thats probably why your fingerprint letter lists NBC because they are the one handling your case for now.
