Yes, obviously this is because of the covid. I walked into the room and there was an ipad mounted upright and some instructions. There was a printer in the room and the interviewer occasionally sent things to it, and got me to sign them, write answers etc and hold them up to the screen. Since I was in the room by myself with the door closed the interviewer asked me to take my mask off, and he was isolated so had no mask either.
 
I thought USCIS handled things really well in terms of trying to eliminate the covid risks for them and us.

Most field offices are doing them at the office but using a "screen".  You are in one room and the officer is at his desk.

If you are applying based on 3 years as a permanent resident after marriage (rather than 5 years as a permanent resident) then yes, you need to upload documents that show the marriage is real (assuming you're doing it online).
 
It really isn't too hard, and you'll have most of the documents scanned already if you've recently done the ROC. During the interview (which was done completely via a video screen due to covid) I was asked a few questions just confirming that I was still married, and a few details about that, but nothing really probing. I'm assuming USCIS considered me low risk of fraud since they waived interviews for my initial GC and the ROC one.

As expected, this lady at the SSA office was obviously ignorant. A GC is also issued by the USCIS, so it's a ridiculous argument to make that the DHS does not recognize paperwork from USCIS!
 
My suggestion to you would be to go there again with the POMS printout (highlight the relevant parts) and ask to speak to a supervisor if the window agent has a similar attitude. They are supposed to follow their own rules! Don't back down till you get a supervisor.

I received my card in the mail yesterday! The people on this board has been so helpful and I want to thank everyone for their input, help and updates which went a long way in preserving my sanity!  For those still waiting, hang in there - I am sure your day is around the corner!

New Card Is Being Produced

Hey guys just saw the previous post on new card getting produced congrats so I went on the new website as well same thing 
 
my timeline was pretty much the same as everyone 
 
Got bio waiver in feb
and then on May 16th checked my mail (skipped 3 days since out of town) found out bio appt on 5/17 10am LUCKY I got mail. But the print date was 5/10. Which means It might got delivered 5/14-5/15 my guess since informed delivery did not show any uscis Mail was coming. Got my bio done by 10:45am and been checking the new and old website everyday....  so far I have noticed the people who got bio done got approved within a week
 
I’m glad this part is over now we will be working on our n400 next i already have everything filled out just not mailed because I didn’t want to have the roc process held back

Well the good news keep coming. Came home to BBQ wings and beer.. My wife's 10 year green card was delivered today. She bought the wings and beer to celebrate. Strange how we just got the approval notice yesterday.
 
Sure. I need to update my timeline. Last year I had difficulty updating my timeline because of site issues. Seems to be working now.

Today I went to the ASC to try to do walk in Biometrics, they were super nice and process was done in 10 minutes. Now fingers crossed for a rapid approval.

Hi everyone, we also got our approval letter in the mail today! Yay! Here is our timeline in case it may help someone:
 
Application submitted early May 2018. Got receipt notice mid-June 2018. Got bio-metric waiver in late Feb 2019, but received notice to re-do biometric two weeks ago.
 
The biometrics was scheduled for last week (the week after notice to re-do bio), and the approval that came in the mail today was dated the day after we did the biometric! This part moved a lot faster than I had expected given how long the wait has been. :D
 
The online status has never been up to date... The old one still says "Fingerprint review was complete" and the new one stayed at "Case received".

Came home to my wife all excited. She told me she had good news. Her ROC got approved. We didn't have an interview. She can't wait until she gets the 10 year card because we have a lot of vacation planned and she hates traveling with the extension letter.

Just got the approval notice in the mail. Notice date of 5/16. Process took about a year.
Guess we're onto the next stage. Citizenship.🇺🇸

Just checked mine this morning and my status has been updated on the USCIS portal - it went from "Case Received" to "New Card Is Being Produced"!

I am pretty sure you don't need a visa if you are just transiting through Mexico, i.e., not leaving the airport.

I also got the Feb waiver and then a biometrics appt letter.  Did my code 5 fingerprints done last week. Two days later got a "new card being produced' update. Good luck all.

Yes, some people get invited to a Biometrics appointment even though we all got waived.
The appointment is in 2 weeks 5/23. So at least it's moving.

For the people that had to redo their Biometrics even though they got waved last year, did the process move fast for you after that appointment?

Update: USPS put the green card in someone else’s mailbox but they were able to find it and deliver it correctly! They put the delivery supervision on finding it, took 4 hours to figure out where it was but they did it!

Fingers crossed for you, JasVW19! Our dates are similar and the old CSC file tracker doesn't work for my case number either (the new one is stuck at "case received"), so I'll keep an eye on that informed delivery as well! Thanks for the update!

Informed Delivery just told me that I am getting a letter from USCIS. Not sure yet what it will be, but hopefully the Greencard!!
After not getting any updates since filing (CSC filer - tracker doesn't recognize my case number and new website is still at case received), I am excited regardless of this being a Greencard or a case transfer letter though.
