brigimigi reacted to shexy in MY IMMIGRATION JOURNEY IS FINALLY OVER
First, I want to say thank you to everyone on the forum, you all are the best. I had my N400 /I-751 interview on Thursday at Philadelphia and was given a recommendation for approval notice. This morning my I-751 changed to approved and this evening my N400 changed to oath ceremony notice was mailed. When I checked my online portal, my ceremony is coming on the 16th of this month. finally the stress is over. I still can't believe how fast it went. 🙏

hi guys,
I had my interview today and got approved!! Just wanted to say thank you for the tons of information and help, it’s a truly great community!
One last question though, does anyone know why/if the Ceac tracker is down? It takes forever to load now and I can’t check my status at all.

@Greenbaum now it changed to "Application Received" in the CEAC tracker. I got a paper at the interview that says 'Congratulations, your K-1 visa application has been approved'. I asked the consular officer if it meant I can quit my job now, because I really want to be there for Christmas, he said well, I can't officially advise you that but everything looks good. They said I'll receive my passport with the visa in about a week. Do I need to worry about Administrative Processing Delays or anything or is it safe to quit now?

Oh I better not start, I'll freak out haha. Mine went into 'Application Received' - it says ready for fingerprints and required docs. If you already had your visa interview, please check your status after 2 business days. So, I'm gonna see what it will say tomorrow.

Possibly there are two issues here, the website is overloaded and or your case has not been updated. Usually with in 24 hours you can see your status.
When the Embassy is ready to issue a visa, it will change to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application"; at that time, you will know that you are a few days away from getting the visa. It will go from "Immigrant Visa Application" to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" status and then your visa changes to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" ==>> "Issued" status as well. These steps sometimes transpire over a day or even a few days. Some smaller Embassy's it happens within hours.
Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".

For the I-134 for the K1 visa it’s the 100% of the HHS Poverty Guidelines: $16,460.
But be careful, when you file for AOS you will have to submit another Affidavit of support i think it’s the form I-864 and you will need 125% which is $20,575.

Check here for the amount that you'll need for your household size. https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p
You are 98% correct but the caveat is that some Embassies will use 100% at interview while others will use 125%. So if the couple are beyond the 100% threshold and not at or greater then the 125% that is something they will have to take into consideration because it could come back to bite them if not careful.
My suggestion is to contact the Embassy via email and inquire as to what limits their Embassy is using. Of course this is not necessary if the couple is above the 125% level. There is no need to bother.
Second suggestion is if they are close then the petitioner should think about getting a part time job that will take them over the required amount. Once they are approved the PT job is not necessary if they can live on their current earnings or any future earnings from the beneficiary. (assuming that is their plan)

I think it depends on the embassy.. I got the same message, though in Hungary we have to pay the fee and then we should be able to schedule the date. Actually, their system was down for a while and they called you by phone to discuss your appointment date. So, just go through the application on http://www.ustraveldocs.com - select the Dominican Republic site and you should be able to create your profile, give the delivery address and find country specific instructions regarding payment methods and interview scheduling.
