pass got a reaction from Sav&Har in Scheduling Embassy Interview in Santo Domingo DR/Medical Exams
Understood. Thank you. It seems best to have the medical in hand for the interview. I appreciate very much this information.

Hi, My fiance filed in August 7, 2017 and we got approved on Feb 22, 2018, so 6 months. Since them she have been calling NVC every day, and today they told her that they received the case last friday but still in process...no case number assigned yet . Nothing speed the process. The best thing to do is when you filed sent USCIS a good binder with everything posible that prove your relationship.
Good Luck

I know the feeling, I stopped counting the days, it is so frustrating. We had people in the May group who had done their POE while others were still waiting for an Approval. It’s really unfair. 😳

I’m with @John & Rose I applied in May and I received my approval Feb.8, just shy of 9 months. Luckily for me, NVC was done in a week and received by my Consulate Recieved it a few days later, some have waited 3-8 weeks for that unfortunately. Then add in medical time which is a week, but that can’t be done until you get an NVC case number, some doctors don’t even let you book until you have an Interview scheduled. I would think now that USCIS is moving faster you should to hear something within the next two months. An Atty nor using Rapid Visa will speed your process. We have even found that calling and requesting Tier 2 doesn’t really help. You just gotta sit and wait.
Be glad you you probably won’t be one of the unfortunate ones like me and a few May filers that were between 8-10 months.
Cheer up, it will come 😀

I am over 9 months in (day 279) and there are people here over 10 months. Just relax and do not get caught up in the process. I wouldn't expect to hear anything about your case until May. Right now 6 to 8 months is common. Hold your loved one close and do not allow this journey to put extra strain on your relationship.

Don't be misled by the word "Rapid" in the name "RapidVisa". Filing through Rapidvisa does not speed up the process in any way, shape or form. If anything, it goes a little slower because you are adding an extra step to the process.
The only thing guaranteed to be Rapid by them is your credit card being charged rapidly.

Your getting impatient and want to speed the process up.... hahahahahahahaha. That is funny right there because you already paid for a service that you are using for your visa, so why would you go an pay for a new service that won't be able to do anything??? The processing time right now until completion of the whole K1 process is about 9 months right now, and as another poster said they are just now looking at August filiers. So you still have time to go.

You’re only three months in. They’re just now getting to August files. You’re gonna have to be way more patient than that or you’re not gonna survive this. You’ve got a loooooong way to go still. Keep checking the timelines on this website for people who are getting NOA2s and when people who filed around the same date as you start getting their noa2s that’s when you start calling USCIS. Until then, just sit and wait. This is a long process and it’s only taking longer and longer every month. No lawyer or anyone would ever be able to speed things up for you. You’d only waste your money.
Also it’s worth mentioning that you’re not gonna hear from USCIS until your approval notice or if they send you an RFE.

Also worth noting- best not to start to get impatient at only 3 months in. Long way to go sadly. For example, I was approved after waiting for over 6 months last month and after that I've been waiting for almost 3 weeks for even a case number to start the interview process and next steps. This is a long, multi-year process. Camping out on here and gathering information helps ease the uncertainty in timelines and steps.

You're still well within normal processing timelines. The I-129F alone is taking 6-7+ months right now on average.
An attorney cannot speed up the process (or do anything with an already-submitted petition, really). It's just a waiting game.

You're within normal processing time. They are currently working on August and September petitions. If you fill out your timeline on here, you can get an estimate of when you may receive NOA2 based off of other's timelines.
