I wanted to add a little Covid update.
for Charlotte, NC in June it was: no guests, mandatory face covering, bring your own pen. The whole thing took 15 minutes including getting through security. 4 people at a time repeating the oath after getting the certificate and then on to the next people in line (6ft appart). No one allowed in more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
It’s a quick in and out.

Congratulations Cecy ! Big day for you. A new chapter ! I know we all miss the grandeur of a Oath ceremony that used to occur in pre-covid day but nevertheless you are now a Citizen ! Thanks for sharing your experience. I was wondering if some one could take a picture of us without a mask with US flag. I guess it depends on service center.
Removing the mask wasn’t an option and the agents won’t hold any personal belongings. So I’m now sure who could take the photo for you.
Your best bet is to take a photo outside of the USCIS office.
I did a super quick selfie...

Hello, I’m officially a citizen of the USA as of this morning.
It was so different from what I anticipated pre-COVID...
I texted my husband when I parked at the USCIS office at 7:44, at 8:02 I was back in my car. We were being let in the building one by one to maintain social distances, one security person had me read through laminated paper to answer basic question about Covid-19 exposure, then security check before being sent in the naturalization room. Everything was very efficient! There was one man ahead of me, I was almost immediately called, showed my papers, given my certificate to verify the information, then waited in a small line where my GC and interview paper were picked up. In the corner of the room 4 people were taking their oath ahead of us. When it was our turn I picked up a flag on the table, walked to the next available mark on the floor. There were 4 of us plus one interpreter. The USCIS agent welcomed us, said congratulations, had us repeat the oath. After that he pointed to voting registration packets to pick up, told us we needed to sign our certificates and said that unless we had questions we were free to go. So it was straight off to the exit.
I’m seeing it as the students who are graduating this year. It doesn’t take away my « diploma », but there was no ceremony.

The courthouse where i had mine done offered the live streaming option. The link to the livestream was provided on their website a couple days before the ceremony. It might vary depending on where you will be having yours.
Thanks
Thanks, mine is at the USCIS office so I doubt there will be live streaming.

Looks like they are live streaming oath ceremonies on youtube for my city. This is an awesome idea since guests are not allowed, and relatives all over the US and world can watch
Hi, I’m curious how you found out about the live streaming. Mine is in Charlotte on Friday and it would be neat if that was the case too.
And congratulations on becoming a citizen!

Hi,
Just Checked my acct on Myuscis, there's a notice to appear for Oath Ceremony at the Miami Field office on June 8th. I was originally schedule for March 20th, then de-sceduled because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF YOU WAITING.
Great news! It’s so nice to see things moving again. Are guests allowed in FL? (Just curious)

This one looks pretty hopeful, it should be an actual letter with an actual date. Not the "we place you in line" one I got.
Yes I go the document on my USCIS today with a date of June 12th. 😁
No guests allowed unless you need a traducteur, or have a disability.

Thanks for you answer. I think I didn't communicate clearly though. I meant to ask about the appointment letter for the Oath Ceremony, not for the interview.
I haven’t received one yet. That’s TBD.
Someone on the December thread said they got it online 5 days after.

My oath ceremony will be next Monday In Charlotte!
The letter that I received says be there at 12 noon, but today I got an email from them saying the time has changed to 9 am due to corona virus. I am glad it hasn't been cancelled. Pretty sure it will be a very quick ceremony.
Sorry for those whose been cancelled! You are almost there!!
May I ask you when you received your invitation to the oath ceremony? (In Charlotte too and just had my interview).

I passed my interview!!
I was in and out of the Charlotte office in less than 45 minutes. The agent was very matter of fact, made me swear, asked me the civics questions, asked me if I worked and where, went through all the yes no questions on the application, had me sign any changes and done.
He did change my application from 3 to 5 years filling, mostly so he didn’t have to figure out extra papers it seems.
The security agents were super sweet, asked how it went and congratulated me.
If Covid-19 doesn’t get in the way, I was told to expect an invitation to the oath in 2-3 weeks.

How many days after the approval did you receive the oath ceremony appointment letter?
I applied 10/22/19 online and got a notification online on 2/5, this is for the Charlotte, NC field office.
I’ve seen several people apply after I did and already gone through interviews and oaths that said (for the same field office).

Okay, now I am really worried what is going on. My coworker just told me they applied after me, did their fingerprints in Feb and got their interview scheduled at end of March. Same office.
I realized that processing times likely depend not only on your field office, but also the agent in charge of it.
i applied at the end of October, and I’ve seen several people with the same field office getting interview, and even take the oath, before I even got my invitation to one (happening this week!!)
This process definitely takes patience.

Filed on November 5th (paper form) and had my biometrics completed on Nov. 28th. My I751 is still pending and now transferred to a new office. I guess I will have a combo interview for both petitions. I am still waiting for an interview date, but I am traveling for work in mid March for work for 4 days. I am hoping that my interview will not overlap with my travel dates, but I am bit nervous.
Congratulations to everyone on this forum who had their interviews and get approved!
I wouldn’t stress it, you typically get at least a month notice for the interview. Wait and see, and if they overlap, you can always reschedule.

Congrats. I really don’t know about timeline .. i think my field office was MO. How do u check that?
Enter your Zip here https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices to know your field office.
Go here https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ For VJ timelines. You can update yours, and can also look for citizenship ones and sort by field offices. The timeframe of any application had more to do with your uscis local office than when you apply. For example Charlotte, NC is mine, and it’s a 4-8 month process. Seattle is like 14+

How are timelines looking like for your field office?
Also the document was added today (I got a notice this morning but the doc was in this afternoon). My interview will be on 3/12 in Charlotte first thing in the morning. I’ve update my VJ timeline to reflect it.
