  1. This. I had SSN from when I studied in the US and adjusting (K1 or AOS) never crossed our minds. Straight to CR-1 - back then DCF was available everywhere. I never had to worry about if I'd be able to leave should something come up on short notice - that stamp in the passport until GC came in was all I needed and work authorized from POE.
  2. Have you ever thought to ask for original documents from the first petition back from USCIS? There's a form for that. Would probably take time but if as you say the same matter was satisfied with the prior petition, then you must've had those documents back then.
  3. None of them are currently LPRs. To become one, individual I-130 plus AOS is needed.
  4. If your wife's 2-year green card is expiring, you can only do I-751. Not eligible for citizenship yet.
  5. What's your local consulate ie. which country are you interviewing in? To expect to be able to spend whole 6 months in one fell swoop is a bit ... ambitious. What circumstance do you have to be able to afford 6 months absence?
  6. Weren't you the OP that got meeting waiver, fast processing of K-1 and then immediate denial? I'm pretty sure people told you what to do. This topic is now closed. You can pick up on your CR-1 topic.
  7. That's why I said leaving/entering the US. Which passport they use at their destination (if they have non-US one) is their decision.
  8. Congressman/Senator’s immigration liaison. Get in touch with that person and explain what happened and ask for assistance.
  9. You need to involve your congressman or senator’s help with IRS to verify receipt/processing of your tax return.
  10. Yes, the announcement was back in early November that they're extending the requirement until January 8 2023 for travel to US except for non-USC, LPRs and some other categories including immigrants.
  11. Did you file for N-400 already? You can also contact your congressman's (or senator's) immigration aide under help with federal government.
  12. Wait, they expect to keep their green cards after spending a WEEK in the US after lengthy absence? Good luck with that. Better stay put for at least 6-8 months and in the meantime file I-131 if they want to travel again.
  13. Umm, you're on the path to be on the hook for him for the rest of your life. No, he doesn't have to come to you to get the green card - if you don't pull I-864 and I-130 BEFORE his interview he'll get his immigrant visa. He doesn't need you to get to the US and have green card sent to a different address. Guess what, you're still on the hook with government for I-864 and with the second bolded sentence - he looks like he'll be availing himself of any available resource possible. So put on some big girl pants, and get over it and don't allow yourself to be dragged into something you won't ever be able to come out of military service or not. He wants to be with the local lady in Gambia, let him be - file for divorce.
  14. For what type of work visa? What does their immigration attorney say? What's your area of study on J-1?
  15. I'd still get it corrected if possible. And if you can get a note or letter from the doctor saying I didn't think I needed to complete these columns as the patient I saw is clearly above 18 and age-inappropriate to receive HIB and pneumococcal vaccines and that's why it was left blank.
  16. I’d still go with the common sense and CDC clearly say hib and pneumococcal is not required and this shouldn’t have been reason for denial as USCIS can easily see the age of the applicant and apply common sense in determining that the listed two missing vaccines are not age appropriate and don’t pertain to this case given the age of applicant.
  17. Keep us posted how it goes - hopefully it's a quick fix and you get your GC soon.
  18. You write a nice letter for your congressional/senator's immigration aide, detailing all the info you have and providing copies of evidence you have (DS-3025, CDC info on vaccines, that chart above showing it's not age appropriate). Then you ask assistance from them to get in touch with USCIS office that has your case (field office, where did the denial letter come from?) and ask them to reopen the case on the basis of misapplication of medical basis rules on vaccination in adjudication of AOS. If your congressional/senator's immigration aide office is nearby, you go there in person (schedule an appointment ahead of time in case they don't accept walk-ins) - if not, email should suffice and then you can follow up with a phone call. When I had a USCIS issue (non-production of green card post POE), I handled it all via email.
  19. You play it on two fronts - DS-3025 there - include it in. If not, you still have a valid claim that you weren’t even eligible to get hib and pneumococcal as it wasn’t age appropriate- provide screenshot of the cdc guidance above - it’s broken down by age.
  20. Wouldn’t getting in touch with someone from IDPH make more sense than asking here? 99.9% of us here wouldn’t know about Conrad waiver. if you’re past duration of studies and your student visa is about to expire check with your school what needs to be done.
  21. All immigrant visas (including K-1 despite its quasi immigrant status) should get a copy of their medical plus vaccine sheet at interview for their own personal records. Try getting in touch with the doctor that did you medical overseas and see what they have.
  22. HEP B not the same as HIB. And even per the spreadsheet you attached, neither HIB nor pneumococcal is required for the OP:
  23. Umm, no. Adults don't need those and someone in USCIS didn't pay attention. Congressman or senator's immigration aide can get USCIS to reopen the case and process it properly vs. just denying it on bogus denial grounds.
