Hi everyone we finally got our I601 approved. Receipt date June 19 2017, rfe requested in July 2018. Rfe sent on Oct 23 2018, rfe approved Oct 31 2018. Awaiting instructions to schedule appointment now. Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations. I just received a RFE after waiting 2 yrs for an answer,so bummed out.they want to know if I intend to stay in ththe states or leave if not approved. And explain the extreme hardship that would face with either...I am so bummed out and confused.receipt date dec 20,2016 just received an rfe dec 23,2018...any suggestions or advice

Just got my I-601 and I-212 approved via the Nebraska service center. It wasn’t expedited...😨 my lawyer said he never saw this particular form get an answer so quickly, especially with an approval! 
Now we wait for the consulate in Casablanca! Am I right?

Expedites? Input error? Very lucky individuals? It's hard to even guess without knowing the details of a specific case.

That's realy confusing. USCIS says "We generally process cases in the order we receive them" . At summer waiting time was 14,5-18 months, now it's 12-16 month. 

An I-130's Priority Date (and I-130 filing date...these are very different things) has no impact on I-601 adjudication. PD is only used for determining when a visa number is available. Filing date only applies to the form being filed.
I-601s are generally processed in the order received, although there are various circumstances  - just like an I-130 - that result in them not being processed in any sort of exact order. Some I-601s from Dec. could be processed sooner than an I-601 from Nov. depending on the individual IO handling the case, if supervisor review is needed, if any sort of investigation is needed to verify documents or facts, etc.

They just wrote us back and we have an interview for August 13th!!! (we specifically asked for 1 month later). I'm SO happy right now. I was so scared they'd say "Yeah, we'll reschedule. For December. 2025."

* Tell me the name of your wife
* When did you meet her
* When did you start dating 
* Why took so long to start a relationship because I told him I knew my wife 17 years ago
* What does she do
* Where does she stay
* How does she spend her weekend
* What is the color of her car/model and if she rented or owned the apartment 
* Her best friend name and where she stays
* What i have gone to do in the other country have travelled to
* My M.sc course and grade
Then the magic word... Your visa is approved....

we're pivot case and my wife entered dallas usa yesterday from islamabad via doha and overall there wasn't an issue. only issue was islamabad airport kept asking her for yellow packet and she told them its not required anymore but they kept asking and made her wait and emailed some body and after i think an hour they said ok u can go.
 
afterwards we noticed on the green card payment paper we received when we picked up visa mentioned u dont get yellow packet anymore and maybe we couldve used that as proof but we didnt see before. people at usa airport just asked her to wait in a room and let her go after 10 min without any questions. glad our journey is over. all the best to u guys.
