Ah.. is this the thread for people who change their mind about the intent as soon as they leave the airport? Love it.
Where is the thread for Judging without knowing any facts?? Do we just generalize everyone on a B1-B2 visa had the intent to commit visa fraud? Ignorance = hate

Hi. Congratulations! mine took about 7 days because it came from NBC and not my field office
And how far was the letter from the actual interview?
-
So I checked the old USIS website and it shows my interview was sheduled on July 2nd ( I’m San Diego office) for those of you who have gotten letters of interview schedule, how long did it take between the message and the notice and how far apart was the interview scheduled, like how much time in advanced?
This is amazing news! But I had a trip planned in August, I did not expect my interview this soon, I’m afraid I’m gonna have to cancel it and sit still for the notice!

Omg y'all for some reason I decided to check the old uscis.gov webpage and lo and behold it says on July 2nd an interview was scheduled 💃💃💃💃 I'm soo happy right now i dont even know what to do with myself😊😊😊😊 if any of you abandoned the old site plz check to see if y'all got any updates! The new dhs site hasnt updated for me yet! Last update was the ead card mailed. Also im guessing they mailed the notice today becuz the last date shown is July 7th but that's just me guessing idk if thats the case
I got the same thing!!!! I’m January 18th, San Diego as well. And it says it was scheduled July 2nd. It almost looks like it’s a bug or a mistake lol. Should I believe it???? Too good to be true??? How long do you think it’s gonna take before they actually schedule it??

Hi everyone! We had our AOS interview on June 26. The officer was probably new to this job because there was a supervisor present. He just went over the form with me and my daughter (14 y.o.), she got fewer ''terrorist" questions though. My son (11 y.o.) was just asked his name and address. My husband got only one questions that he had absolutely no clue about - my parents' names He is terrible with names! The officer didn't even look at supporting evidence, he only took the kids' copies of vaccination reports, and my new form I-693 that says that I can't complete vaccinations due to pregnancy. He was not sure if the kids' ones were complete (in spite of them being marked as "Complete"), so he said he would double check and make a decision later. On July 3 I got an email that the case is still being reviewed and there are no updates - and several hours later there were 3 approval notices in the mail!!! Yay!!!
Today the status changed from "My interview was scheduled" to "My card was picked up by USCIS", nothing about being approved.
So, the electronic notifications seem to be not very reliable...
Yay congrats! And omg I would have been freaking out if my husband did not answer right to such a basic question!!!! Im sure being pregnant is sufficient evidence!
Congrats again! And thank you for sharing!

I recently obtained my EAD/AP combo card, I’m planning a trip to Spain to visit my family ( I’m currently pregnant too) which makes me a little hesitant but I have read so many positive experiences that I think there should not be any issues. NOW my question is this. My combo card has my MARRIED name where as my passport has my MAIDEN name, when it comes to buying the plane ticket, which do I use? My guess would be my maiden name as I would be showing my passport to get through security and on my way back have my marriage license to prove my name on my Combo card.
Has anyone experienced this before??

So When should I try to contact USCIS ??? The online time estimate says 5 months. I’m officially in the 5th month mark. ( January filer) after biometrics in February nothing has happened.
Am I outside processing time? And how can I contact them?? When I try calling a machine just reads what I’m already seeing online :/

Wawuuuuuuu! Whattttt. I got my interview notice today slated for April 28th, 2018. When i saw the mail via informed delivery this morning, I assumed it could either be my EAD approval notice or change of address notice as i updated my address online last week. Good luck to everyone waiting. it is surely a pleasant surprise and big relief.
Wow!! Congrats!!!!! So many of you getting this letters!! Is it possible it’s only for k1s ??

YES I HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE. A PERMANENT ONE WITHOUT SOCIAL. NOPE, MY I94 EXPIRED 2 YEARS AGO. JUST MY RECEIPT.
Do you mind sharing how you got your drivers license?

NOPE. ITS BY STATE. IM SWITCHING FROM B2 TOO. DONT HAVE A SOCIAL.
So you have a drivers license,? like a permanent one? Without a social? I know you can get one for the same time as the I-94 but won’t be valid after that date. It’s that what you mean?

I got my social before we were even married. We then went back and changed it to my married name after we got married with the marriage certificate. All they needed for the licence was the i797, social, my passport and the marriage certificate showing my married name as my passport was still in my maiden name. I got the ID without driving as it was horrendous snow at the time and I am not used to driving in it yet so I have scheduled my test to change it to a driver’s licence next month. I find that silly as I’ve held a European driver’s license for 19 years and have an international driving permit for my many trips to the states but I have to do a test again 😭
Ohh ok I see... you did have a social. That makes sense. I’m adjusting from a B2 visa, I do have all my NOAs, but I’m pretty sure having a social is a requirement.

same here. got it with the receipt.
You got your drivers license with a NOA??? What other documents did you present? I have never heard this before . Like without a social?

Yeah but that's a specific question for exactly the other forum where way more members are who are filing from tourist.
Why not show this member the way to more competence?
And I guess there is a reason for 2 separate forums, since the filing itself is different.
Plus: This thread is actually for already filed and monitoring progress. The member up there hasn't even filed yet and needs help.I agree as well, although the actual filing is the exact same process, same aplicaciones, same fees.... I’m sure if there is anyone in this forum who knows anything that may help her, why not ask? I have actually gotten a lot more answers from here ( again being a b2 filer with the same process and times) than from other forums.

Though I don't the Initial intent of the pioneer of this sub-forum (if it's strictly for K1 AOS filers), however, I can boldly say it has grown beyond just K1 AOS filers as AOS filers other than K1 Like me and others have tremendously contributed and gained from this forum...
So am sure @Dalis can get some useful info as regards her question on this forum..
Totally agree! I’m a B2 January filer myself!!

This is what the search looks like ( didn’t wanna display anyone’s private info lol) so I’m a January 18th filer ( San Diego) and absolutely everyone is still in the same status “ case was received”
just be patient.... I know it’s hard but these things take time, and as soon as we hear a very rare case all of our hopes sky rock.. but yeah
