Hello VJ family!
My husband had his visa interview in Senegal yesterday and was approved!! 
 
Questions asked were: 
1. When was our anniversary 
2. How many times has he visited me and me visited him
3. How did we meet
 
priority date 3-26-2018
It has been a long process but im happy you guys have been here to keep me motivated & answer my questions. More than a year later & We are finally done ! 👏🏾 (for 10 yrs at least lol)

Some other people here have more experience than I do, but I think that should be okay. NVC has told people before to get another sponsor and bring it to the interview so I think you should be okay with this.

Hello Everyone,  First i would like to thank  you all from this Forum. We started this journey with some of you back in March 2018. Many of you have helped me with questions and I'd like to think i helped some as well My wife had her Consular Interview today in POS Trinidad and was approved. She said the interview  lasted 5 mins (at most). Thank God this journey is about to be over.
 
For those of you still in the wait- keep faith, follow the process and it will happen. Take your time when submitting documents. You may read some of my past posts on mistakes i made in the NVC phase. ( i literally submitted a document rotated 90 degrees incorrectly smh) Non the less- all learning experiences. I am no Immigration lawyer but thank God was able to go through this entire process without having to hire one. This happened with the help from this Forum and God's Grace.

hey hun. Port of entry was very easy. Now I am with my husband in USA. I flew from TORONTO pearson airport, on the day it was very busy and crowded. So many people waiting in secondary and i was worried that i might miss my flight. In secondary it took almost 2 hours so give yourself lots of time because they take you into secondary for processing. Their finger print machines were not working so they did not take my fingerprints and photos. But they did completete my  process. the only question they asked me at POE was have you ever been arrested and asked me to confirm the adress for mailing green card. I have been with hubby since last sunday. Thanks VJ and all the friendly people who have helped going through this entire process. IT took almost 13 months. Those who are still waiting just hang in there, you guys will get through it quickly. yeye.

I finally got all my documents approved by NVC. Once they have confirmed interview date , they will email me again. I am happy and grateful to God. Now is the final step and last waiting game..Mexico is taking looooong to issue the interviews ( 7-10 months I hear). But we have gotten this far already, we are almost there!! Just want to  say congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 to everyone who's petitions are making progress.  💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 I know your hearts feel a bit lighter now and for those like, myself whose still awaiting progress I continue to pray for us all 🙏🏽 on this long, trying journey. Distance is the test to see how far love can travel and though the journey is tough the view from the top is beautiful. Stay persistent all we're almost there. 🙌🏽🤗

I uploaded my AOS and civil documents on 2/12 hoping I would get CC soon. Just received a response from NVC,  stating 2 of my documents were rejected. My household member's naturalization cert needs to be uploaded horizontally and another document was not readable. How long do you guys think it will take for them to respond after I upload them correctly?
I hate this stage so much!

My husband date was June 6,2018
Got Interview email on January 30, 2019
Juarez Interview date March 26, 2019

I think ignoring the NVC is ridiculous.  They asked for specific things....so send them the things they asked for to get your case complete.  
 
You coulda done this 3 weeks ago when NVC asked for it and had your case complete by now.....

Congrats, when did you submit all documents ? How long exactly did it take 

You can use your father alone. His W2 will separate his income from your mom’s. If you need both in order to qualify, then yes they both need to fill out I-864a.

Hey everyone! Hope all is well and this message reaches you in the best of health and good spirit. Just recieved my wife's interview notice for February 16th.  So it only took 2 weeks to get a date scheduled for Morroco. 

FYI I just got my case number via email from NVC. Got approved November 8 and was sent to NVC November 28 

Do not under any circumstance send originals. NVC cannot be more clearer than that. If you originals you won't get them back. Plus, you may need the originals at your interview stage.
Not all lawyers are the same unfortunately.

Hey guys. Hope all is well and everything is running smoothly for everyone. Just wanted to give a heads up on my case for others to know what to expect. My case was electronic so I had to upload my documents to the CEAC website. It looks like everything is complete now and they are in the phase of scheduling the interview. I received this email yesterday.

Here’s what my timeline looks like:
NOA1: March 21, 2018
NOA2: November 16, 2018
Transferred to NVC: December 19, 2018
 
I expected it to take 11 months, now it’s looking closer to 12 or 13 from sending your initial paperwork to completing your interview. I would say not much difference for Canadians, except that you aren’t disadvantaged by being from a country that requires more evidence, more proof that you’re not a terrorist, etc. Also other countries have long embassy wait times for their interviews and I believe Canada is pretty quick.
