    Could be the same company....
and again the (lack of) enforceability aspect assumes they try to do that in the US.

I am not saying you can not find it elsewhere, but it is a predominately IT/Indian situation.

Little update I got an email yesterday telling me they received my response to my RFE and they started working on my case again; so here is my Timeline now on day 47:
    Priority date: Jan 8th
NOAs dated Jan 17th received on Jan 22nd
Bio appt received Feb 9th scheduled for Feb 22nd, did a walk in on Feb 12th
RFE notification received on Feb 10th for a copy of my birth certificate plus translation. Actual letter received on Feb 16th, sent back the same day and delivered to NBC on Feb 20th (Monday was President's day)
Received notification on Feb 23rd that they started working on my case again.

So overall there was a break for 13days, not bad. I pray all is well now ad we get to move to the next step, especially getting my EAD approved.

Yeah, I haven't seen anyone mention receiving their EAD that filed in December not counting expedites. I've found the EAD timeline table handy for keeping track, sorting by Approved and Card Received columns. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/eadlist.php?cfl=0&op1=app&op2=d&op4=1&op5=4,7,11,12

Yup.. the few people who have gotten their EADs approved were expedites.. interviews have been scheduled for some of us.. but no approvals yet..   you should plan for EAD after 90 days..

    Hi,
This thread is for people adjusting from K-1 and K-3 visas. Actually, I haven't heard of anyone who got approved EAD other than one or two expedited cases. But maybe I missed. I hope that helps...

    Hello December filers:-

We are January 2018 filers who are trying to plan our next few weeks in terms of the job search etc. We heard that some of you who are adjusting status through marriage have already received your EAD. If you received your EAD in less than 90 days, can you please put a short response here along with the visa you’re adjusting from (e.g K-1, H-1B, etc)?

    Thanks!

It is important to have a good reason to why you would like to expedite I think. They will ask for proof. Simple job offers would not work unless they have underlying consequences (something that will affect your case as a whole if you do not get it expedited. By this I mean, losing source of income of one of the sponsors or something like that). In my case, we put my income as part of household income so losing my job will affect the case. It is also important to inform your employer about documents you may need in advance and confirm that you will be able to obtain them in a timely manner.

I work for small business and I manage basically everything at the location where I work. I asked my employer if he would provide specific letters well before I put in expedited request.

Here is what I did to put expedited request:
    1) Call the USCIS and talk to Tier 1 officer who will create a request for you. Make sure you give this person as many reasons as you can and also make sure they write all of it in notes. Sometimes they skip certain information! Make sure you ask if they put everything just like you asked to to! They are required to do so! You will be given a confirmation code in the end. You can see how your request progresses through case tracker. It will take 2-3 days for it to be assigned to the officer for review after which they will e-mail you about your request and they will mark it as completed in the case tracker. The e-mail will be either denial or request for proof of whatever you had used to qualify under certain expedite criteria.

I had gone through many expedited requests in the past when dealing with the USCIS and I believe that when your case gets touched, even if your requests are denied, it still accelerates the process of your case review. Many people say and believe otherwise, but for someone who has spent hours talking to USCIS officers and has exchanged dozens of e-mails with them, I believe that taking some action is far better than playing just a waiting game. Hope this helps!

The long silence, for sure. Every morning I wake up and check the USCIS Case Status app and there's no change. Can't wait to get my EAD so I can start working again. Doing some courses on Udemy and reading books related to my field to better prepare me while I wait.

Chicken7585 reacted to planetrock0529 in EAD waiting period - how long does it take after biometrics?
    Hi everyone,
I'm new to visajourney.com and just registered today. Great way to communicate with people in similar situation such as myself
I sent my AOS package (I-485, I-765 and I-131) on Feb 23rd, NOA receipt received on March 4th and just completed my biometrics on March 31st. My question is...how long did it take for your EAD to be issued after biometrics? I know each case is different so that's why I want to know
To be honest, I can't wait to get my EAD so I can apply for a social security number, get a drivers license and work! Some might say to concentrate on the positive such as "consider it a long vacation" or "enjoy being together physically with your loved ones" but "not working" and "not being able to work" is a completely different stress factor. I already feel like I waited enough that I practically ran out of things to do
If anyone can share their EAD waiting experience it would be great! Hope to hear from anyone who has time in their hands
    P.S.
When I went to get my biometrics done, the immigration office was EMPTY. I overheard the officers discussing that it's "slow" this few months. It might be wishful thinking but I hope this will speed up the process ;P
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
