This thread seems politically.. vile lately. I'm going to say something, as an American.
Those of you entering this country, I welcome you. I apologize for those Americans who have made you feel unwelcome, who bolster the typical "American attitude". It is shameful and I am ashamed to be associated with it.
Whether you agree or disagree with my administration, whether you at liberal or conservative, whether you hate me or not, I welcome you. I welcome your criticism. I criticize my government every day. It is the greatest form of patriotism - otherwise my society and country wouldn't grow. Members of my family came here illegally from East Prussia. If they hadn't, I wouldn't exist today. The greatest part of my country is it's diversity and you all help make that better; that I, and we, can say whatever we please about our administration without fearing jail. So please, bring your disagreements with our country and it's government, because that alone will make it better. You are all welcome here.
Now I'm going to get back to work.
