Currently, EADs are taking forever. I got mine a month and a half ago, and we submitted in January. We submitted a request to expedite after almost 7 months of waiting because the estimated wait times were adjusted to be beyond my wife's due date, and because I had a job lined up already.

You will be waiting a long time, so try to get a plan together for how you're going to 1. financially handle a single income and 2. how you're going to mentally/emotionally handle the wait.

EAD will not be valid anymore and there's no way for the company to know that. They also cannot sponsor someone for a work visa who is already in the United States and working for them. She should have waited. Oh well.

If I have "K Visa Applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements", ticked on the DS3025, I wouldn't need to get any more vaccines, right? If I understand correctly, those are the vaccination requirements for the K visa itself, not for AOS, but they should be the same.

Well I expedited my I-765 on June 5th, sent in the documents on June 7th and my card was ready and printed yesterday. Not much of an expedition but it's better than my current EAD estimate from VJ which is August 12th

That's a really tough situation. I don't know why ICE would have a monthly check-in or why they took her passport. I think that's the main thing you need to find out. Your wife is legally in the United States while her permanent resident status is being adjudicated. She's either here legally or illegally, there's nothing in-between.

Wow Universities posting documents about how to evade ICE if you're an "undocumented immigrant." That's detestable. 

That's the USCIS field office, not the US Embassy.
