  1. Hi folks, I am sure there is a post about this somewhere lingering on this forum about this topic. I am looking for a post where someone has detailed AOS from B1/B2 for parents and has all the checklist docs as well as steps. I have the USCIS resource page on I-485 with instructions and am familiar with it. I would appreciate if anyone can point me to the above mentioned post. - I know insurance is expensive and have means to pay for it - circumstances changed as we need a caregiver for our newborn and job changed caused us to lose parental leave thanks ahead of time.
  2. That is awesome to hear. I am in a similar situation where my relative has been an authorized user for a while and if they decide to immigrate it will help them. Thanks for sharing!
  3. A lot of credit cards let you issue cards for authorized users without the SSN. If one does this and the authorized user in the future ( say in a year or two) immigrates to the US, obtains SSN, links SSN to the existing cards will then their credit report go back retroactively? Sorry if this has been asked before.
  4. Sorry to hear it is not going well. I went through a divorce and removed conditions based on good faith marriage. It happens a lot. Your evidence looks pretty good to me. The list looks like what I had pretty much 1 to 1. I hired a good lawyer who filed this for me and got approved without an interview. I think in your case since you did not have one during AOS there is a good chance you will be called in but who knows. It took me 28 months so brace yourself for the long wait.
  5. Tourism bring insane amount of money in. US is a superpower where the world's rich want to vacation and take pictures. If I remember it right from my previous research the annual number from tourism was in low hundred billions. To put that in perspective my home country's annual budget is roughly 25-30bn...
  6. I have not yet filed anything. I have a married sibling who is over 21. Wanted to know the current situation and wait times. I will be filing in January
  7. Hi all, I would be grateful if any experienced member could answer how long is the current wait for F-4 visa? I see Visa Bulletin showing 2007 for countries other than China. India, Mexico, and Philippines. Is this correct? Has there been any improvement in visa availability in general regarding F-4 in recent years?
  8. Hi all - I made an appointment with the USPS for my passport. I know I need to bring the DS-11, a check for the fee and supporting docs. When it comes to supporting docs I am a bit confused. Do I need to bring both the original and also black and white copy of the naturalization certificate? If so, will they take both at the appointment or send me back with the original? I don't fee l very comfortable having the original taken for months as this would mean I have absolutely no document of any sort regarding my status. Any help would be appreciated. Submit your original evidence of U.S. citizenship. Submit a photocopy of the front (and back, if there is printed information) of your original evidence of U.S. citizenship. Photocopies must be: legible, on white 8.5”x11” standard paper, black and white, and single sided. In some cases, you may be able to submit a certified copy of your citizenship evidence. A certified copy is any document that has the seal or stamp of the official issuing authority. If you don't want to submit a photocopy of your citizenship evidence, you may submit a second certified copy of your citizenship evidence, which we will keep. If you don’t submit a photocopy or a second certified copy of your citizenship evidence, your passport processing could be delayed. You cannot submit digital evidence of U.S. citizenship (e.g. electronic or mobile birth certificate) when applying for a U.S. passport. You must continue to submit your physical evidence of U.S. citizenship and a photocopy of it.
