Rose and I are married and incredibly happy!
 

Finally - the part we've been waiting for and wanting for so long... we got married at San Francisco City Hall, and couldn't be happier  

The wedding in Manila is scheduled for Monday at 10:00 am.  That will be my "official" move from K-1 to CR-1.  I wish everyone here the best and I will stop in to say hello occasionally.  This thread should hopefully die soon because everybody will move on.

I had my interview in London today and got approved thank god! So what’s next 🤣

Just got back from the Philippines. I got my “Affidavit in Lieu of Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage” from the Embassy. We applied for our marriage license and it will be ready on June 5. I am going back on June 8 and we are planning a civil wedding on June 11.  After we get the Government Certified Marriage Certificate I will file our CR-1 and start the long wait...again. 

Visa finally approved after 358 days of filing !!! 

Yesterday I finally married my lady! I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the help in this process and good luck to anyone still waiting. Hopefully I’ll see y’all in a future AOS group 😊

Yeah, we look like a couple of derpos. Not the  most flattering of pictures. I think we were still shell shocked they wavered the 48 hour wait... 😂 That and we were goofing around. 

I agree.  While there is a wait, she will be able to get married with her family there and I will visit often.  I will be visiting my wife, not my fiancee.  She is happy.  God works in strange ways.  This is the best plan.  We should have done this a year ago!

We are getting married there in July.  I will make a short trip sooner to get the affidavit and start the marriage license then I will go back with my kids in July for the wedding.  I made the decisions and she was VERY happy I made this one.

I spoke to Rose. We are getting married there in July. I think she and the kids are happy but I still get “whatever you think is best” answer.  Sometimes I wish filipinas weren’t so submissive! Lol

I totally dont understand how they let you attend an interview knowing they would deny you regardless... why the hell did they approve your application, any thoughts? cruel pricks : /

Finally after almost 90 days RFE received.. There has not been an update anywhere. The notice just came today in the mail! My SR said on the 17th pending security checks. So patience is a virtue. Thanks God 🤗

FINALLY!!!! Approval notice received today. Date on it is 11th, 1 day short of 60 days from RFE. Tonight I will sleep like a child

Social Security number finally arrived after we submitted everything on March 12.

I am so sorry.  One thing that is possible is marrying there and filing a CR-1.  One of the issues with the co-sponsor is that the co-sponsor is not enforceable at the K-1 stage.  If you get married and file a CR-1, the co-sponsor will be legally and financially responsible and that is enforceable.  Your odds are much better with the CR-1 with sponsorship because the co-sponsor can be held liable for your bills.  This is an option for you and I pray that this all works out in the end.

So this is how it went, Iza and the girls got into the embassy at 6:40 interview time was 7:10. Got to the first window and that when things went to hell. When filling out the ds160’s for the the girls she accidently selected k1 instead of k2 for them. So they said go across the street redo them and come back. Here’s a tip, if you need something reprinted dont go across the street from embassy. 2k pesos later, that 20$ each to print, she was back in the embassy. 30 minutes later she was out and MY BABY AND LITTLE ONES ARE COMING HOME!!!!!!!
more details later on what she was asked in interview. They were rushing back to pack and checkout of hotel. THANK GOD ITS OVER.

Getting married on Friday, party we will do later this year. 

A month ago I had my interview in Australia, fast forward 1 month, and we are officially but unemotionally married! (Our formal ceremony/wedding is June 30th).
 
Entry into LAX was super easy. 
Filled in a declaration form from the customer service counter, (you couldn't use the computers for K1 visa's apparently), went to the immigration officer, he took my sealed envelope, passport, and fingerprints. Stamped me though in less than 2 minutes!
From plane to baggage claim in under 30 mins!
 
I entered 2 weeks after my interview. We decided to road trip from Chicago to Vegas in an RV that cost $1/day. Highly recommend it if you have some spare change to drive across the USA! We even received $300 fuel credit!
We stopped into several National Parks and had the best time taking in some of America's greatest sights - Estes, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Monument Valley, and of course, Grand Canyon.
 
We were able to stop into a random town at an SSA office and get my SSN sorted in about 30 minutes.
 
Finally yesterday, we were able to walk into the Vegas Marriage license office, obtain the license, walk around the corner to the county clerk, and become officially and unemotionally married in less than an hour. (Our witnesses were another couple who were also getting their marriage license. We waited for them outside and we walked together to the clerk office become officially hitched).
 
We then took a Lyft down to the Vegas welcome sign and snapped a few photos with our official documentation!
Cheesy & corny, but makes for a great story in the future
