Laura & Chris got a reaction from NYLondon in June 2018 AOS Filers
    Hello everyone!

Just wanted to let you know we had our interview yesterday in Seattle Washington. Our appointment was at 2:30, we got there at two. Everything went by so easily, the staff was so easy to talk to, in the waiting room was plenty big enough. One thing I noticed was everyone had an attorney except for us

Anyway, in the interview they just went over the form originally filled out. Ask my husband how many kids we wanted. And pretty much how we met, she didn’t want to explain much more. She said they have to input the information and they would let us know. I was worried since I didn’t get any change of status.

But our power was out at our house and it came on at 3 AM and I checked and it had been updated to card being produced!!

Seattle is taking forever. My PD is June 28th, 2018, and case ready for an interview for more than a year.
From what I've read on different websites, filers from March and April/18 started to get interview notices last month.

Any members from Seattle receiving interview notices lately? Anxiety is starting to quick in real bad.

My GC interview has finally been scheduled! I'm so happy and a little bit surprised, was expecting this to drag on (I'm in NYC where there are huge delays). Filed 6/4/2018, ready to be scheduled for interview since 7/25/2018.

Still waiting, according to the processing timeline, I have another 4 months waiting to get my interview, not sure what happen but it's really slow in SLC..
And also, really slow on EAD, I've sent EAD renewal but estimate another 1-2 months to get new EAD, that means... I have 1-2 months gap that old EAD is expired and no new EAD and no greencard... Life is hard

Received an email notification yesterday that my case status has changed to "Interview was scheduled". My field office is San Francisco.

I suppose I should be happy but I'm also a bit bummed out. I have tickets to fly back home to Malaysia (summer holidays!) next month and I think the interview date will clash with the dates of my vacation

Oh woooooooooooooooooow, 12 more months? Jesus Christ. This is beyond infuriating.
My parole expired in February but I was under the assumption that I did not need to re apply. At least that’s what my lawyer told me.
I think as long as you renew your work permit 6months before it expires- you’ll be okay. Your business should be okay too.
Hugs! Looks like we’re in for a long ride .

My local office is Seattle as well and I haven't heard anything so far. I wondered how they process the case. There are some people who already got an interview even though they applied around the same time or later than me (I am September 2018 filer). Which makes me feel anxious. Hope everything work well for you!

4-6 weeks! A friend of mine, his interview was within 4 weeks of receiving his letter. From the time I got my letter, it was 6 weeks (though it actually got rescheduled due to "unforeseen circumstances" to 2 weeks later).

Greetings, Im new to this forum and was getting a little concerned regarding my aos process. I see some of yall are already had interviews but my case status hasnt been updated since aug 6 when i finished my biometrics.  I updated my timeline for better understanding. I wonder if theres something wrong with our papers, so far no rfe or any update yet.
    Few questions:
    1. Should i inquire about the status of my petition?
    2. Am i within the processing time line?
    3. Gona refile ead card soon, will i be able to keep my job while updated ead is procesing? ( i know the processing times are really long now)

Thank you so much for your help!

So I had my interview yesterday!

It was all very straightforward. Arrived at the USCIS office about 30 minutes ahead of our appointment time which was 7:15, checked in, got given a ticket with a number on it, there were a few couples already seated ahead of us. Every few minutes another couple had their numbers called and went through. The officers seemed to vary from cheerful to gruff (but hey - it was early!)

Our number got called at about 7:25, and the officer took us through to her office. She was cheerful and kind, and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job. She put us under oath, asked us if our address was the same as the application – we had moved, so it wasn't - she wrote down the updated address and asked us why we moved. Then she asked us how we met - we explained our story (there are a few details which are interesting which she probed about), she then asked us who was at our wedding – our parents weren't there, so she asked a bit about that. She asked who does the cooking, and who is 'the better cook' . She asked about our pet (we have an adorable cat), and who she belonged to before our marriage.

She then asked what we'd brought to show her. We brought a ton of stuff, with the idea that it's better to be safe than sorry, including bills, our lease for our townhouse, bank statements, insurance documents, as well as our original petition along with all the evidence we submitted with that, and a big pile of photos (we printed out about 120 photos including travel, our wedding, trips with family, and with friends). She was particularly interested in the photos, so we started with those. I'd placed about 20 photos which I thought would be of particular interest to the officer in the front, so I handed those to her. She looked through them, asking a number of questions about them, who was in them, where they were taken and so on. She seemed keen to look at the other photos, so I handed the rest of the pile to her and she went through every one!

A number of questions came up naturally in the course of looking through the photos, but nothing too specific, and was more like a casual conversation than formal questions. She leafed through the other documents we'd brought, noted down what they were and moved on to asking the Yes / No questions from the i-485. Once that was done, she tried to access something on her computer, which wasn't working. She tried restarting it to no avail, so she ended the interview there, saying that they'd let us know if there's any problems, but to expect my GC within 30 days!

My wife said she heard the words 'you're approved' but I didn't catch that! In any case, when I logged onto the DHS case tracker this morning, it's showing my "New Card Is Being Produced", so I'm hoping it will arrive in a few days time!

This all happened way more quickly than I was expecting, so I feel extraordinarily lucky. Good luck everyone!
