Who in this month still waiting for EAD/AP? 126 days waiting and nothing. 

Got this message today for my husband! "On October 10, 2018, we approved your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. We will mail your approval notice." So so so excited!!!! Does this mean they're going to mail us the card, or just a letter stating that he's been approved?

It's not that easy in some states. At least no with the driver license. I got my ssn when I came. Tried to get driver license and they asked to show them at least my EAD. 

I did, my DL expired the same day as my K1 visa expired, I can't renew until my EAD :/

That's true. Not every state is the same. Well, I even had my US driver's licence but I was out of the country for more than a year and now they didn't let me to RENEW it without EAD...  (Maryland welcome to..:P) Im gonna finally go this week.

Why didn’t  most people get their drivers license is and Social Security number  when they first moved? I’m just seeing all the problems you’re having now? I did it soon as I moved I got both things. And then I found for AOS.

I see the same thing, however, some of the people getting approved are in other cities, not sure if any of them are also in NY. Regarding the filing, for AOS category C9, you send it to the Chicago lockbox address.
I am giving mine the minimum timeframe based on processing times. Good luck ♥️

When you file for advance work authorization. Where does it go to? I sent mine to Chicago lock box. My NOAA date is June 1.

i want to say thank to everyone who has supported, helped throughout this entire journey of immigration including k1 @Shoegum who had prepared the sheets to track the cases and others who helped with the documentation process of AOS.
 
I had my interview yesterday and was approved - they said they will mail the card in 1-2 weeks. The entire process took 100 days with maybe additional two days of filing. I strongly believe that everyone should keep some patience (its hard and i know easier said than done), hopeful and soon your time will come!
 
I also want to share an interesting experience regarding our interview process. Before we were called in by the immigration officer, there was a married couple next to us - the immigration officer came to them and told the husband and wife that he would like to speak to the wife separately first and then will get back to the husband to talk to them. The immigration officer made the husband sit outside. Looking at that, my husband and I were puzzled. When my name was called out, the immigration officer called us both inside her cabin and finished up the interview process which took only 15 mins. We walked out with the approval. I think they do this separation if they sense fraud or if they feel they need more information. I'm sure many of you are aware of this separation of married couples, however, it depends on the field offices. For the ones who don't know I just thought this is an opportunity to tell you guys so you're prepared for it even though I don't think that will happen in case of K1 cases because we legally come to the US based on our true love hehe

small little update:
 
1) i got my EAD yesterday!!!! only issue: "country of birth" unknown! 
so i called USCIS and a tier 2 called me back today, saying they will contact the office and inform them to update to Switzerland,
and they will inform me if I get a new card or if they will just keep it this way!
 
2) I got an email yesterday after getting my EAD card, for a telephone interview
With that said - I had it today and it went so well that they invited me over for a face-to-face interview next Tuesday
 
3) most important: DRIVING LICENCE!
sooo.. as I went to get my DL (temporary) in my first week of being here, I got my DL which was vaild for 90 days as the K1.
Today I went back to the DMV and I was able to get the DL that is valid for the time as shown on the EAD!!!! Meaning:
Once you have your EAD go to the DMV and bring:
-Passport
-Marriage Licence
-I-797C (NOA1 for Greencard)
-EAD Card
-Birth Certificate (just in case...)
Please note that this may be different in different states. I didn't bring my NOA1 for GC, and they made me go home get it,
although I had it in my email and would have been able to forward to her or print out! but they wanted the original!
 
So temporary licence is in my wallet (valid 45 days) which is a paperprint out, and the card will be shipped shortly!
 
So overall, it has been a terrific day!!!
 
Crossing fingers for the rest of you guys waiting on EAD (or invite to GC Interview)... STAY POSITIVE! remember the uncertain days
of waiting for the K1 approval? Well, at least we are all with our loved ones now ❤️ 

Wait, we don't need an interview for EAD right? So does that mean next Tuesday is your GC interview already?!?! 👏

First off: congratulations to all of you for having taken the first step to becoming part of this great nation! 
I have petitioned for my wife on June 11th, she has gone for her fingerprints, but so far I see nothing
No updates to our case whatsoever. I understand we are within the time frame, but it is a little discouraging when i check and it's stuck in the same: "your case has been received".
It's going to be 4 months and nothing . I hope to share good news to you guys soon.

I don't know about everybody else but I was seriously starting to go stir crazy waiting on this EAD to progress- how many times can I get coffee, go to the gym and play on my PlayStation. Lol. Also having to contend with my father in law who immigrated 30 years ago and was so optimistic and yet out of touch with today's immigration reality who said "don't worry you will get your green card in 2 months, it's easy, 1 2 3" lol  he sure kept me laughing. My wife and I would almost eye roll in unison lol.
 
Very happy to say yesterday I checked my status and EAD card is in production and approval letters arrived for EAD/AP combo- I can finally stop being a bum. Lol. Well almost but it's on it's way soon. I filed in early June so for the rest of you waiting, its any day now!

i almost fell out last night when i received another update on the status of EAD 
where it says "picked up by the USPS" annnnd to top that: they give me a tracking number
i mean, from going from K1 visa still "case received" to getting a tracking number - it's been a journey!
 
so EAD will be delivered by monday

yaaay - my EAD got mailed yesterday so 1 day after "new card in production" it went to "card was mailed" 
 
let's see if it gets here tomorrow? 
 
no updates on interview though... we shall see how that goes

Congratulations @Boyd_M on your EAD combo card approval.
When my EAD got approved earlier this week it said the same thing just the EAD status changed not the AP.
But the next day both the statuses got changed to Case was approved.
And then two days later card is mailed.
Now I got a tracking number for my Combo Card delivery for Saturday by 8PM. 
So Please hang in there and hopefully, you would see a similar timeline 😂

I received my interview notice yesterday!!!! (My NOA date was May 11th)
 
My case status on the app changed to “case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” 8 days ago. Still hasn’t been updated to reflect that I have an interview scheduled.
 
Still just says “fingerprint review complete” for my EAD and “case received” for my AP, but I guess I won’t be needing them if all goes well!
 
Fingers crossed for the rest of you!

Well, it's official! Paul's GC arrived in the mail yesterday!! We nearly cried happy tears. What a long road. I can officially testify that the moment this all comes to fruition.. it IS ABSOLUTELY worth everything you've gone through. I've never been more proud of my husband.
 
It's overwhelming, but finally in a GOOD WAY. We are in crunch time with all the final planning details of our belated wedding celebration a week from Saturday, and it feels good to have something even more to celebrate. It's the first time both of our families will be together in the same place, and we can't wait!! His parents will be flying in this time next week
 
Congrats to everyone getting their EADs lately! Seems like that process has finally picked up a bit, thank goodness. I remember thinking it'd be close to the end of the year, when we first mailed out his applications, for combo cards to be received. Doesn't seem like that'll be the case now!
 

Yay!!!! Congrats!! I know that feels so good! Paul is most happiest about being able to contribute to our household now, too, and all of the things he's only been "window shopping" for, he can now ACTUALLY look into actively. So we understand your excitement! Celebrate!!!

Our case status just changed to ready to schedule for interview!!! We are so excited. Does anyone have experience with the Baltimore, MD office and how long it generally takes to get an interview?
