I called a while ago about my EAD I was told to call back Nov 14th if I had not received anything. I just called again on NOV 14  and the woman was SOO RUDE, she kept interrupting and not letting me finish. she told me you still have another month of waiting.....?? Its been six months?

Anyway Im furious, how long has everyone been waiting for their EAD

I didn't apply for a combo card in hope id get them both sooner which I did get the ap sooner

Im in the same boat.  I have my AP thats it. They did update it saying its ready to schedule interview but I'm waiting on my EAD

Well I pretty much just give them my Canadian passport in my pro letter and they let me through. The first time they pulled me in, and they had to fill out a little bit of paperwork and put the visa inside my passport. They said they don’t change it all the time since I’ve crossed so frequently. So they rarely putt me inside. 

They are a very slow office and it only took about 20 minutes. Just because the program they use to update the visa inside my passport is in use that often.

Mi wife's combo card is arriving tomorrow, but we have already received the approval letters. if you read the Advance Parole letter it clearly states that USCIS is granting you permission but you are still subject to inspection by a CBP officer who may deny you entry so they are kind of saying "travel at your own peril". Some people say insofar as your record is clean you may leave and come back without any issues, but then again nothing is for sure. I would wait for the green card and be on the safe side. I hope this helped. 

Ive travelweekly on my parole. I called the border where I was going be crossing ahead of time to confirm and he assured me that everything would be okay,. The government has given you permission to leave but if you commit any crimes while out of the country the will not allow you back into the US. I was worried but its easy breezy every time

How long from “ready to schedule interview” until I actually get the date? 

Also will I still possibly get my EAD while I wait for my interview date?

 Why didn’t  most people get their drivers license is and Social Security number  when they first moved? I’m just seeing all the problems you’re having now? I did it soon as I moved I got both things. And then I found for AOS.

When you file for advance work authorization. Where does it go to? I sent mine to Chicago lock box. My NOAA date is June 1.

I’m just seeing everyone else get approved that filed after me so I’m just curious.

I filed June 1st.. no EAD... 

so excited for those who have movement 🎉

the rule usually is if you open it its invalid. so you'll have to go to the embassy

Remember that the AP does not guarantee that the officer will let you in the states. I absolutely would not try to travel outside the country if I were you. Better be safe than sorry! I would wait til I get the green card. 

ive travelled out twice and i've had the AP for a week! I called the US border where I cross and they reassured me I would be fine. They only deny you if you break the law or go on a "crime spree" is what the officer told me.

Anyone receive there GC from Chicago IL? I filed June 1st haven't heard anything i've only received my Parole to leave the country.

hi everyone im a June 1st filer. I have received my AP letter/ Card last week! My USCIS account hasn't updated at all... so I don't know how long till interview etc until I actually receive the letter I guess! Thats how it went with the AP!!

I’ve received my advance parole letter. 

It just has my picture and a stamp and instructions. I didn’t apply for a combo card.. anyone else have this?

I only live 20 minutes away for the Canada border and my family loves right on the other side!! SO close But so far!!

I didn’t do a combo card. I also didn’t expedite. Maybe the officer checking mine just got back from vacation 😂

I received my Approval letter for my AP today. I’m a June 1st filer and I filed from Washington

You need to get a job offer letter from your employer. 

Then you call the USCIS hotline to contact them tell them you want to expedite your EAD. Then they will give you further instruction.
