name was updated usually comes a day before approval, in cases where you didn’t ask for an update. It happens when they are just correcting their system.
 
i saw quite a lot of people this happened, including me, and the next day they got approval, including me. So I basically celebrated when I saw mine said “name was updated”

We have been waiting for 236 days already. They just told us that the security check is pending and there’s no timeframe for that. I’m losing my mind. Don’t know what to do anymore. Do you guys have something in mind? Should we start contacting the senator? What do you guys think?

Getting an RFE is not the end of the Earth. It's an opportunity to get the visa you are after. You complete the information requested and return it to USCIS. USCIS finishes adjudicating your case, typically you're met with an approval. Two to Three week delay only. Not a big deal.

I forgot to tick that box as well, however my fiancé has been to the U.S. and I stated so elsewhere on the form and included copies of his passport stamps, so it was fairly obvious that I just forgot to check yes on that box.  We did not get an RFE for that, but we did get an RFE for missing another box asking about criminal history.  I can't believe I missed either of those, I read and re-read it so many times before sending!  I was so annoyed with myself!  But anyway, just letting you know that I missed it too and didn't receive an RFE for it for what it's worth.

Yes that’s what i am saying. Don’t freak out (yet). 

I’m worried right now. I also asked my friend who was approved and they did not answer that part, they did not get any rfe. If that’s the case, then I’ll just wait for it but still hoping for no rfe 😁😁

My fiance spoke to a tier 2 officer yesterday and was told that our case has been assigned to an officer. And now, we called again just to make sure that the information is accurate. But they said that it’s not assigned to an officer yet. 
 
Also mentioned that they sent us something in the mail it’s their response to our inquiry. It’s not RFE and it’s more like an instruction on what will be the next steps. I dont know what it means. ☹️☹️ I’m so disappointed because of the inconsistent information theyre providing.

I’m also waiting for the NOA 2. Here in the Philippines, they always require us to render for at least 30 days. What does she do for a living? I would highly recommend that she give her resignation letter once you have the visa. We might not know what will happen. Just be cautious

We did! Multiple times ☹️ Same thing. Told us to call back by the end of this week to raise a service request if there’s still no update. 

214 days! 🙌 Haha no rfe no updates. Nothing! Just case still pending.
