so i have to get marriage papers from morocco then can file from US a CR1? Do I need to do a big wedding here in morocco??? also i hear from lot of people that i need to be careful she dont use me for VISA! how do u protect yourself against this...i dont see her that in her but still need to be alert..which route is faster...cr1 or k1? i am a US citizen so i am guessing 7 months???

Have you asked her about the engagement and marriage process? She would probably be your best resource. 
 
In Morocco it is pretty common to have a small engagement party (nice clothes, tea and cookies) with close family and friends. This isn't required though. The consulate does know that traditional engagement ceremonies are a common practice. Weddings on the other hand are usually larger events, with the bride wearing multiple dresses throughout the night, lots of food and drinks, the ceremonial furniture and music, ect. But again, you can just have a legal marriage without having a big party. Talk to your girlfriend about what she wants and expects. 
 
What do you mean by go out freely together? You can go out together without being married...You can't stay in hotels together before marriage, but just going out and hanging out around town is fine unless her family is extremely conservative. 
 

Hello guys...I am a US citizen and have been chatting with this nice girl who i met online from Morocco. but after reading online about high fraud cases from morocco i am somewhat worried...i brought this up to her and she told me not everyone is like that...she even said he will promise her hands on the koran that she just wants a genuine relationship and not just for visa purposes..i am also thinking of getting engaged to her and meeting her parents which she said is perfectly fine...
 
my question is for those who have more experience please guide me if i am doing the right thing of going there soon and getting engaged to her and then inshallah get married on my next visit to start the CR1 process...to get engaged she told me just some sweets and a ring to show people that she is engaged thats all...any inputs will be much appreciated...

Thanks Adil brother...my first trip is this saturday she lives in agadir i am only going  for 6 days...i just want to see her and if things go well i will get a ring for her and meet her family...inshallah will visit her again on next trip and get to know her more...hope things go well and she is a genuine person and not just in it for the visa
