Never understood why people are so stubborn about sending their petitions too early. Do they seriously think their petitions will be approved faster just because they sent their petition a couple of days earlier?

NO!!! I sent day Before and I got Rejected! Dont do it!

Nope.... there have been many members on here who sent it a couple days or a week before and were promptly denied. So they had to send it all back again after the 90 day window. 

No you can’t !!! even one day before your application would be rejected. Just use https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator

Interviewing officers are expected to be fluent in the language of the country.

Like above can be done in either language, just be possibly prepared to show how you both communicate. For instance if you also speak that language, no issues but if like just using an online translation program they may have some questions.

Local official language(s) should be fine.
In my case the consular officer gave me the choice between French and English.

OMG!! We just got the email that our case is complete!! I'm with my husband now in Turkey & he yelled from the other room "I got an email from NVC!" Our status has changed to "at NVC" & the email says that now they'll work with the embassy to set up the interview date...I can't believe it!!
 
case number assigned - March 12th
first upload of documents completed - March 21st
2 documents rejected due to landscape format - March 26th
re-uploaded documents - March 29th
case complete - April 4th

I hope to the get the case number this week . .  . NVC received our case on Feb 12 . . . 

I believe you can put yes here...but should bring a letter explaining why you didn't file in 2017 to the interview, since that will take place after April 17th. I only submitted my tax transcript for 2016...but sending my husband with my 2017 tax return as well, since they'll probably ask for it.

Happy new month everyone! Hopefully I get a case number and case complete this month. Hoping for a fast process. Tomorrow will be 5weeks at NVC

Just an update: 
I got my embassy change request approved yesterday (sent the e-mail on March 15) NVC is taking exactly 14 days to respond to emails (I sent another one on March 14 n they responded on March 28). 
I am a non-pivot case now (1 Agent said it is still Pivot n she didnt know what she was talking about). I called a second time to confirm if it was still pivot as multiple agents had said Mumbai is not Pivot and got through to an agent I had spoken to before who was very helpful the previous time and she remembered me too. She said it looks like it is pivot and I thanked her and hung up and a half hour later she CALLED ME BACK from the nvc!!! God Bless her heart!! She called me back to tell me not to upload anything and to mail everything in. Faith in humanity and NVC restored! If any of you get through to the agent named Leah/Leya tell her she's the best!

and I finally received my NVC case number today thank you God..After all mine is a pivot case which I didn't think it would be. Good luck to everyone and hope everyone gets a case number soon. How long after you submit the documents online do people get cc?

HEY GUYS!! So some of you may remember my case..I was venting here a lot...lol So my case was sent to the Pivot department on March 12, 2018 and it said NVC received on March 12, 2018 instead of Feb 9, 2018 (when they originally received it) but anywayyyyy...after fighting, crying, arguing, countless emails to asknvc, emailing my congressman, and everythingggg...
I GOT MY CASE NUMBER AND INVOICE NUMBER in an email today!! according to my case number, my case was the first to be created yesterday but I called yesterday and this morning and even talked to a supervisor and they had told me it will take 8 weeks!!! 
HANG IN THERE EVERYONE!! it WILL happen!! God is great!!! I was able to pay IV and AOS bill and they say "processing" now

Same thing happened to me last friday, my received date was February 13, I was calling everyday and that's what they told me and then when I called last Friday out of nowhere they said that they didn't receive my case yet. I called 3 times that day and finally at night is when they told me my case was all of a sudden received March 16 which still doesn't make any sense to me and they are not giving me any explanation but just have to wait. Wasted a whole month for no reason.
