But where is the beneficiary name in it? I remember when my spouse filed form I-130 almost 4 years back , it clearly mentioned my name as beneficiary and my relation with the petitioner. So did they change the form now or what?

Anyone please?

I filed for my mom 2 weeks ago. So I got NOA in mail today But I am confused. There is no mention of my mom or her name in the notice. And they have mentioned me as applicant ( I am petitioner while my mom is beneficiary. How come? Is this a mistake? Please can anyone help me. I am freaking out

Lifetime? Come on man. So I will buy , lets say 30 years, of insurance in advance? lol

To all guys whose parents were approved, please tell how did you guys clear public charge condition? News are that majority of parents are being rejected on this basis

@SusieQQQ Finally something logical and positive comes out. So what do you think how much a joint sponsor income should be? Guess? What if its over 500k for example? Also, will I have to buy health insurance in advance? if yes then for how many years?

I do not know why people are taking this topic to another direction. I AM NOT ASKING ABOUT HOW MY PARENT IS GOING TO SURVIVE AFTER SHE COMES HERE. I am asking about recent cases of public charge . If you guys are insisting to know, I must disclose that I am a doctor doing my residency in radiology. I know I will afford her but I am asking of NOW.

I think it is the sponsor's or the applicants problem how to live in USA. This is just an immigration forum. People should not become judge and think of future. Its better to comment what is being asked for......Original question was how the people whose parents recently got visa, did it?
-
Well. If a doctor can not afford that then I do not think anyone can,

Everyone is acting like a philosopher here. @databit If she will take a 1000 dollar per month insurance, do you think I will become bankrupt?lol

Again, question is not for parents to support them. I am asking in cases where children need to support their parents. I believe those children will have recurring incomes.

Vancouver is no cheaper but still I believe a household income of around 140k approximately( after my projected job next year) is no less here for a family of 5. This salary means a take home of 8500.

@JFH. I am NOT having a household in Syracuse,. I came here just for study. You are confusing between Seattle and vancouver. Vancouver is way more affording than Seattle side. Anyways lets c.
If there is any other brother who recently tackled this public charge, please do not hesitate to share with us

Syracuse NY is cheap with average home price 80k. The average starting salary of my profession here is 70k . Seattle is really expensive.
-
@JFH. iI am studying in Syracuse NY but I ma based in Vancouver. There is no hole, just you are looking in suspicious way😂
-
@JFH Yes. Seattle is expensive. but Vancouver is half cheaper. Average home price is 280k here vs Seattle 714k. A salary of 80k in vancouver is equal to a salary of 140k in Seattle
-
@geowrian We are based in Vancouver WA . Yes you are right. We will be probably at around 140k approximately once our income joins.

Geez! Your mother was 7 or 8 years old when you were born?
Nope. that was my uncle .Instead of making his account as he is not an active internet guy, i posted that from my account

In eastern cultures, parents are taken care by their children especially sons. So it will be my responsibility to support my mom. That is why I am asking how much an income should be ok annually? We are a family of 4 here in US

My mom is 59, healthy and recently retired in her home country . But she intends to work if she comes to USA. I am still a student but I am expected to earn big after my graduation late next year. Can I use a joint sponsor for her? Ho much a joint sponsor income should be? By the way my household income is 80k as my wife works. We have two children
