Received my Green Card in the mail today. After almost two years, my journey of waiting for my gc has come to an end. I have become a permanent resident od the US as of Dec 2,2020.

I wanna use this opportunity to wish all those waiting for their green card or EAD best of luck.
The process is frustrating but never give up on hope, for your moment will surely come.

I will still hang around and I know most of us will cross path in 3 years time if all things been possible.

Once again best of luck to those waiting.

    Congrats!
I'm afraid I'm probably the last one still waiting. Had my interview on May 2019 and no word yet. Have put it many inquiries but they all come back with the same answer, still under review. I tried calling them today and seems it's almost impossible to speak to a live representative. The menu seems to have changed. Any suggestions? Thx.

Same here.  I had my interview in May, filed 3 inquiries, got response for 2 of them, bu the latest one last month, it's been over a month and no response. The inquiries were filed under the "outside normal processing time" category as well. The second response I received back in Nov actually acknowledged that the case was outside processing, but they gave the usual response "we are still reviewing and need additional time". I know every case is different, but it seems that just about every case at the Mt. Laurel NJ office has gotten approved, either same day or within a few days. C'mon USCIS...

I'm not sure who else in the same boat as me, but I'm still waiting on anything about my case (I completed my interview in Baltimore back in April.) I called USCIS back in December and the person said it was still considered under processing times, but said she tried to push my case "outside the normal processing time" and I'd hear back in 30 days. It has now been over a month, so I don't think anything is happening. I don't know if moving to a different state in September cause any further delay.

I'm going to file for EAD and AP renewal as they expire in May.

Damn!  And I was expecting us to face something similar to yours, given the feelings we left our Interview with yesterday.  I mean, my wife kept saying...it’s impossible...because we are so extraordinarily genuine, we have nothing to worry about - and shouldn’t.  I guess I just need to have more faith and stop being the Ultimate Pessimist!
Do you have an Attorney?!  If not, you must get one at this point, imho!!

Hi, so we had the AOS interview on May 22nd and we're still waiting for an answer.  Our interview was a stokes type, I call it that because we were called in separately and were asked questions for almost 30 min each, we were called together after that and everything seemed to be going ok. I presented all the evidence they asked for, was not missing anything. I was given the default speech about removing gc conditions after 2 yrs, but no verbal approval or denial. Our case was supposed to be handled by the Newark NJ office.  However, due to high volume, they scheduled the interview at the Mount Laurel NJ office.  Not sure if this has anything to do with it or what.
I've called many times to get updates, I was told that the case would remain at the Mt. Laurel office since we're within "normal processing time".  I put an inquiry over 2 weeks ago and no response as of yet.  Has anyone else been waiting this long? or similar situation...

To answer both, not always decision is made on spot. Sometimes the background checks aren't completed, sometimes they want to double check paperwork. It's like an AP with K1. Once you're there, you're there. Difference is, most likely you'll get your decision soon. I'd give them a call and see whats taking so long. Ask for T2. (Call->English->check status->don't know your receipt number->still don't know->Customer service->ask for T2)

You interviewed on May 22 and still haven’t heard back? Don’t they approve or reject on the spot?

Still waiting since interview on May 22nd, no change in status aside from "interview was scheduled".  It was our initial interview and we were called in separate after a 45 min wait.  I (the USC) was called in 1st and had a long interview.  The asked many things like where and how we met.  The layout of my house, what kind of car i have (color, year, make, model), who attended the wedding, where was it, did we buy the rings together, why did we decide to get married.  I am divorced and they asked about my past relationship, my work, what do I do.  The IO then looked at my pictures and randomly asked questions about places and the people in the pictures.  After about 35 min of questioning, the IO requested I go back to the waiting area and then called my wife in.  the IO took her picture and fingerprints.  She was asked the same type of questions to compare answers, she is also divorced and was questioned about her past relationship as well.  after another 40 min she came out and the IO called us all in (myself and her 2 children).  The IO asked them their names and birthdays, do they like it here.  She then took copies of passports, some additional evidence and said she was concluding the interview.  We were advised that we'd get a decision in the mail and then the IO talked about conditional GC and lifting conditions after 2 yrs.  She walked us back out and we left.
Based on what I've been reading here, it almost sounds like I had a "stokes" type interview given the fact that we were separated and the length of the interview for each one of us. 🤷‍♂️
Oh and still no EAD by the way.

    1. Not necessarily. depends on age. I would assume it's normal.
    2. I doubt it. Check the case status this week, it should update to something.

in general, you were approved and should get your card soon. Don't stress over things that are out of your control

If you select your flag in your profile it's going to open up to a page with lots of information. In the middle upper part of the page you are going to see "Quick Links" then in the list select "Embassy Review" and you will be taken to a page where you can read what others have experienced at your Embassy and you can add your review. Once it is complete then cut and paste the URL for your review into this thread to share with everyone. This keeps the thread clean and tidy, and not only those who are here to see it but others who may not see this thread but would see your experience. A good interview will point out some of the hiccups that you experienced along the way and the highlights of your experience. These are very helpful. I am looking forward to your review and thanks for sharing.

It will go from "Immigrant Visa Application" to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" status and then your visa changes to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" ==>> "Issued" status as well. These steps sometimes transpire over a day or even a few days. Some smaller Embassy's it happens within hours.

Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".

I think the disconnect here is you must use the case number for the status to display. All your other instructions and observations are correct.

Sorry, I might be a little late to the party but my information is also for those who come behind.

You dont ask anything to the embassy. If there is any appt cancelled you should be able to see through the same site you payed the fee. Open schedules will show there and you should be able to see and schedule. Make sure you look couple times a day, specially at night.
