October'ers I just found something new.

Did you know that your background check for your EAD/AP/AOS? will be listed on the SaveCheck case website as have been ran/pending etc? I just checked as I was showing a friend how to check her manual verify for her SSN and up popped my status for my background check.

    Just thought i would share.

What does it mean verification case number

Received notice that my ead card is being produced!

Noa1 date of Oct 11 - hoping it comes with travel as that has not been updated.

I signed up to receive emails/texts whenever anything was updated on my case and it worked perfectly. Kept me from losing my mind checking the website constantly!

    Also received interview notice!

Submitted forms on Oct 5 and interview is scheduled for March 27! (The best bday present I could have gotten!!)

Field office is Lawrence MA - could definitely just be luck since their processing times are much longer

    Good luck everyone!!

We are in NH and Oct 11th as well! We are hoping that ours is next!

Nice, I had my interview on a Wednesday and the passport was sent off to the courier on Thursday the following week. I could pick it up on Friday because I asked to collect it instead of having it delivered!

You need to wait 10 working days so the i94 is registered on the Social Security System, and thereafter you can apply for a SSN. You don't have to wait for a Green Card 😕 You will need the SSN before then anyway!

Please look at the following guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn/

Also, make sure you familiarise yourself with http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

Thank you so much! He got his passport Thursday and is flying out on the 20th!!

Sorry for being so quiet guys, since POE, it's just been all things wedding! POE in Dallas was super easy, especially doing POE on a Sunday!

I tried going for the SSN 2 days later, thought I'd chance my luck but I94 hadn't registered yet, so I will be going tomorrow morning which should be the 10th working day!

But now stateside and all things wedding are going well, 16 days until the big day, hope everyone else's journey is going well?

@UKUSABoston  Hope your fiance's interview goes well!

He was approved! How long did it take to get your passport back?

Wait he can get a SSN NUMBER ONCE HE GETS HERE?! Or is it after you get your green card?

  5. So I dont make the required amount for affidavit so my grandfather is going to be the cosponsor. He filled the I 134 and everything out and has sent the supporting documents to my fiance in England. I also sent the I 134 as well just so he has it, I sent my tax returns for the past three years and since last year I didn't make enough bc I was in college I sent my transcripts for the year and my degree bc I finished this past May. I sent that showing why I didn't work this past year. Do I need to send anything else or will they even bother look at mine as long as someone can sponsor him? His intreview is next Thursday so we need to figure this out fast! Help!

So you're going to fax the vaccination records to Knightsbridge right? Or he can just get the copy of the vaccination records that day and email it himself to Knightsbridge! But if he can get an appointment before the medical at his GP, that would be the quickest and easiest way!

Remember to leave at least 7 working days between the medical and the interview.

I never received any Packet 3 or 4, and I just went to the US Embassy today to have my interview and I was approved. The only thing I think your fiance will receive in the post is the letter from NVC

Has your fiance now scheduled both medical and interview?

Congrats!!! He left  12 days between his medical and his interview! His medical is next Saturday and his interview is Aug 2nd! Hopefully gives him enough time to have his doctor fax his shots that he needed to knightsbridge before the interview. He should be golden! Keep me posted on how long it takes for them to send back your passport!

The only problem with what he is planning to do is that the Panel Physician needs to have the vaccination record that everything is completed AT the medical so he can sign off on the DS3025 as complete. If your Bene decides not to have his vaccination record completed at the medical he will still have to attend a Civil Surgeon in the US to transcribe his remaining vaccinations to the I693 in order for you to apply for AOS. That costs a large amount still.

Your beneficiary's plan is not wise.

Complete the vaccinations before or at the medical in England.

I called the UK medical and they said he can go to his GP after the medical so we should be good!

He should get them done AT the medical in his home country BEFORE the interview. If he opts to getting them done in the US later that is a HUGE expense. My gf paid $800.

Click no and explain he will get any remaining required ones at the medical.

Yeah he is going to get the remaining one at his doctors in England before the interview rather than at the medical he said. Yeah I know right! U.S is way to expensive to get shots in with out insurance.

  9. Help! Ds160 question! On the question that asks, do you have a record of vaccinations in accordance to U.S law. I know he is probably missing a tetanus shot but he doesnt know what else. He wants to wait till after medical. Should he click no on that question of the DS 160 and explain that he will get them before we change his immigration status(apply for green card).
