This is what he said: "I called them. I used the LND number. It asks for the police report, questionnaire, photo ID, 4 photo's, vaccination and medical history"
Yay I will call him now to tell him to get on that phone and make an appointment haha. I'd hate to wait even a week to schedule one and find out its not till August!! Thank you guys so much! What number did he call?

I'm quite sure it was. Too much chat log between now and then to go back and look and it appears he may be napping or out on a walk so it may take some time to get a definitive answer for you. Definitely try and schedule the medical now. The wait times are seriously long.
If you do get a hold if him let me know what he says! I'll have my fiance try and book it today or at least try tomorrow morning.

Some consulates allow, some don't, so just clarify with possibly another VJ member from the same country in order clarify, that's the best reference for someone who recently has gone through it, or the country's forum on VJ
I think her fiance is the same as mine.. Mine is also going to London too as I believe hers is too.

I'm asking him right now. I think he called
OH cool! Thank you, so your case was still at the NVC when he made the appointment?

Yeah! Good idea.
Just wonder why some cases take so long while others are so fast. I have known people who only wait for 2 days from 'at nvc' to 'left nvc'....
Me too!! I guess luck of the draw lol

You shouldn't have to wait until it's in transit to book the medical. My fiance did as soon as it made it to the NVC. The interview has to wait until the application is ready at the embassy though
hmm did they call? Because my fiance said when he went to do it online it said he needed his immigration visa appointment notice.

I see. Maybe I should also call and ask the same thing...
Or maybe can I directly ask what's the status of my case?
Shouldn't hurt!! I am gona call later today and tomorrow.. I don't know if its ever delayed on the website after they do it or if it shows up right away once they ship it

Oh, that's good!
But what did you ask her? Like 'what is the status'? Looks like they know a lot about how much time it is going to take....
Just asked her if he can book his medical because he has the case number now because I know they are filling up and won't be till the end of July. She said hold a bit longer because its not much further now.. Keep checking your email every so often this week. Its almost there.. So she must ohave known something but didn't want to press her because I know they are recorded and didn't want to get her in trouble for saying something she shouldn't

oh, your fiancé called? and NVC told him it will be sent out today or tmr?
I called(Iam the petitioner) and she said don't quote me but keep checking your email today or tomorrow because it isn't done yet but almost there.

Yes that makes sense that they said that, from what I saw I believe in the post was that batches ended up sending 5/15, 5/29, 6/12.. so if that is the trend it looks like every other Tuesday is what they did for the past 3 send outs.
Ha look at us being all analytical and such
I got my case number last week too and I am hoping that it gets sent out this week too!! Its only going to London haha

Yeh, I mean I booked mine while it was 'In Transit' they don't ask for much over the phone apart from name and NVC case number. Like I said the only reason I advise it is because of the long waiting time, we're end of June and they are booking end of July appointments. This process is long enough as it is...
Please see my above reponse!
My fiance called they told him to wait till it sends out. I guess since yours was in transit it made it easier that way. But we were told it should be shipped out either by the end of today or tomorrow!

I had mine ship out about a week later than @Vholde346 and it took roughly just over a week to get there, but now you have your NVC case number, call the Medicals place as soon as possible. They are getting booked out very quickly at the moment and I think at the moment, they were booking for like 20th July on wards. As I have been trying to get a cancellation on the actual Medical and they are just so backed up.
Get the DS-160 filled out too, and then just save it, don't submit it, once the case is ready you can submit that and then arrange the interview, but right now medicals is taking the longest part of the wait. It's a very busy season at the moment apparently?Oh I didn't know you can book your medical before the London embassy gets your case?! I'll tell my fiance then! He filled out his ds160 form already waiting to submit it.

If you are referring to Part 1 Question 10 is not your WAC# or your NVC case #. You would leave it blank.
I'll take a look what question it is.. so my fiance is selling his house just accepted an offer. He is worried that the house will close before we finish this visa. He is going to move into hisparents until approved. On the DS 160 should he put their address or will that confuse things?

They sent ours as soon as they issued a case number, so I think was unusually quick.
Uhhh... my medical was ok. I was in and out pretty quickly. I thought that I’d provided sufficient evidence from my GP regarding my mental health but apparently not so that has been delayed. I sent an email 3 days ago and foolish me didn’t check to confirm that they’d received it. Called them today and they hadn’t, so I’ve had to send it again and now the process is delayed even further.
Interview was a breeze. I was asked two questions “how did you meet?” and “where will you be living?”, answered this and she said that I’ve been approved.
Wow not bad at all though! Hopefully ours goes quick and easy! I'll keep on top of NVC to see where to is lol

We had an email from them saying that our case was in transit, and when I checked the following day our status said ready. As soon as that status changed, I completed my DS160, and booked my medical and interview. I didn’t wait.
Thank you! It's still sitting at the NVC for us. I got a case number Tuesday so I am assuming it's going to take a while before they "ship" it lol. Once he gets the ok to book he is scheduling it right away.how was your experience for the medical andinterview?

I had my interview today and I was approved pending my medical results. (Knightsbridge messed up!)
My fiance is from England! How long did it take for them to ship it to london and were you able to schedule your physical and interview with in a week or two of being told to schedule or was there a wait?
-
One more question.. With the DC160 when it says to put in your application Receipt/Petition Number in the travel information, is that the WAC number or the case number?

We put my fiancee's last 5 trips according to his I94.

Thank you guys!!

When filling out the DS160 do you put all your visits to the US since you were a kid or the last 5 visits? Because my fiance is asking me.
-
Question..
You dont need your case number for the police report right? Also filling out DS160. My fiance asked which box to tick for relations in the U.S they dont have a fiance so he should tick U.S petitioner right?( I am the petitioner)

Hello...my fiance is a naturalized Canadian. She was born in Ethiopia, but sh is not Ethiopian. She is Eritrean and it is impossible for someone from Eritrea to get any official documents from Ethiopia. For those who don't follow East African politics, these two countries has been at odds for the last two decades and had a brutal kinda WWI (first world war) conventional war from 1997 to 2000. Our case is at NVC now and will be "Ready", finger crossed, next week. Any advice on how to handle birth certificate deficiency with the embassy for her interview. @Naes might have some advice.....Thanks!
How long does it take to ship from NVC to the embacy? Mine is going to London. I just got a case number yesterday and its sitting at NVC.
-
Quick question. My fiance is doing his police report now its asking if we have a case number and an officer assigned to our case number. We dont have one I am assuming bc it's a k1 visa? Does he just check no and they send his police report?
