  1. I just checked the uscis website and I see updates for both cases. I751 is stating that it was approved and for N400 it says: Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed We scheduled your oath ceremony for Receipt Number IOE12345678. We sent a notice with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony to the address you gave us. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by December 6, 2023, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. Does it mean that we can go to their website and check the document which they've sent to us? If yes, I have to wait for my wife to return from work as I can't login to the site without her phone. This is exciting! 4 Months from start to finish. I can't believe it only took this little time.
  2. and I just checked our N400 status and it also updated! We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number QWE123456, with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date. Please follow the instructions in the notice.
  3. It is very frustrating. However, I just checked our case number and for I-751 we've got new update! Your interview for your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number ABC123456, was completed, and your case must be reviewed. We will mail you a notice if we make a decision or take further action.
  4. How long it takes for the oath ceremony to be scheduled after combo interview? My wife got letter stating Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified of when and where to report for your naturalization ceremony. She had her interview at Fairfax VA Washington office. Tomorrow will be a month since we went there. No new updates since then.
  5. It shows under the pending forms when you login to myuscis.gov We have 751 and 400 pending. I can see my upload under 400 but not under 751.
  6. We did - DL showing the same address - Car insurance - Health insurance from work - 3 Joint bank accounts (for earlier forms for AOS we also included joint credit card statements) - The only utility bill that may wife's name is on is for gas - And 2 pages with 3 pictures on each page from our wedding and honeymoon trip No RFEs.
  7. Why don't you call the Washington DC embassy? If you are willing to fly out to ATL why not to DC? Also, as a US passport holder you need Korean STA to enter ROK. You can do it online for about $10 and it takes up to 24 hours to be issued. Good luck.
  8. I'm asking because my wife's friend had her interview at Fairfax office 3 weeks ago and she still waiting for the oath date. Thanks for your reply
  9. May I ask you how long you were waiting for your oath ceremony to be scheduled after your interview?
  10. Only the N400 interview schedule. I told the IO that we have I751 pending and she invited me to her office together with my wife. She did civic test, then few questions about I751 and then continued with N400. Now we are waiting for the oath ceremony letter. I hope that it comes this year.
  11. We had all that and MORE, the only thing that the IO asked were our driver licenses... Go figure. Well, we didn't have combo letter. I just told the IO that we have 751 pending when she called my wife's name. There was a guy waiting for the interview. I assumed completely unprepared (everybody in the waiting room had vanilla folders with documents). He didn't have anything on him. After his interview (about 5 minutes) he came out with piece of paper smattered with yellow highlighter. I guess they gave him instructions on what to bring next time. So, the conclusion is to be prepared even if they don't ask you to provide documents. Good luck!
  12. We submitted the application 7/31. Appointment was scheduled for today 10/3. 6 civic test questions (all from the USCIS app). Read one sentence, write two sentences. Then was into the questions from the N400 form. At the same we did I751 questions/answers. Everything took about 30 minutes. At the end my wife got letter stating that she has passed English test and history and government test. The second check mark is at: Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified of when and where to report for your naturalization ceremony. So ALMOST done I wonder how long it takes before we get the oath ceremony letter.
  13. The interview is over. Had combo when I told the IO that we have I751 pending. Both approved.
  14. Did he ever applied for drivers license or any form of ID? I think 41 states require SS registration when dealing with DMV/MVA When I moved to another state about 5 years ago, I had to provide my Selective Service number on my driver license (just transferring from state to state). I had no idea that you can go to prison for not registering for SS. What happens if I don't register for Selective Service? If required to register with Selective Service, failure to register is a felony punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or 5 years imprisonment. Also, a person who knowingly counsels, aids, or abets another to fail to comply with the registration requirement is subject to the same penalties. § 46.2-221.1. Registration with Selective Service required for issuance of learner's permits, driver's licenses, commercial driver's licenses, and special identification cards to certain applicants. A. Every male applicant for a learner's permit, driver's license, commercial driver's license, special identification card, or renewal of any such permit, license, or card who is less than twenty-six years old and is either a citizen of the United States or an immigrant shall, at the time of his application, be registered in compliance with the requirement of section 3 of the Military Selective Service Act, 50 U.S.C. § 3801 et seq.
  15. Where did you read that? I see that they failed to pass. We have interview on Tuesday and I'm afraid that it will delay more our process...
  16. I don't believe we did that. My wife has N400 interview next week and we were planning on bringing the I751 NOA letter. Will that effect her N400 process?
  17. We submitted the form on 7/31 - this week got letter in mail for N400 interview on Oct 3rd. They asked to bring originals of marriage/divorce decrees and my original naturalization certificate. I assume they will not keep it? Regardless, its pretty fast. 2 months since submission of the documents.
  18. Did you get two text messages and 2-3 emails? That's probably because you just applied for it You'll be getting two letters in your regular mail very soon too. One is the payment receipt and the second one is that the case is pending etc.
  19. I think it would be easier to get married in US. No headache with the translations, certified this, certified that then certified translation etc. If you can, get married in US and be done with unnecessary paperwork.
  20. Did it few times when traveling from US. Have your passport, GC and marriage certificate. That's all you need.
  21. The first letter we've received on Saturday stating; "It is not necessary for you to appear at the USCIS Application Support Center ASC for the biometrics appointment. The biometrics fee will not be refunded. Today in the second letter: Thank you for submitting your application... etc. Payment receipt of $725 Next Steps: - We will schedule you for an appointment at a USCIS Application Support Center ASC for you to provide your fingerprints, photograph and or signature - We will mail you a separate biometrics appointment notice with the specific date time and ASC locations. Please wait until you receive your appointment notice before going to the ASC. I'm confused now. In the first letter they've said that they will reuse fingerprints but in the second letter they've said that they will send another notice to schedule the fingerprints.
  22. And today in the informed delivery I can see that there is another letter from USCIS. What is this second letter about?
  23. Your wife can qualify for citizenship after meeting one out of two conditions. - Being married to US citizen for 3 years (and living as LPR in US for at least 3 years) - Being LPR and living in US for 5 years. So for your situation, you can submit N400 for your wife 3 years after her arrival in US minus 90 days. My wife will hit 5 years of living in US soon, but because we did K1 and had all the AOS - ROC her LPR counts as the time when she got her 2 year GC. It's silly but nothing we can do about it. Strongly recommending waiting until your anniversary. I know it's a headache but it will be well worth it to stay extra 2 months at home.
  24. If your wife's visa is good after 10-02 then I would also suggest entering US after your anniversary date. We are 13 months in and got 48 months extension letter... Thankfully my wife's citizenship date was coming up so we've applied and hopefully we will finish this silly waiting game soon.
