I'm totally confuse now. I check my AOS status, it stated "Interview was scheduled". Anyone know what is that mean?

Leave it to USCIS to always "F: with me.  I have had a medical appointment scheduled on 8/13 at 2:15pm for weeks now.  Received biometrics appointment for my husband today in the mail.  Guess what day and time? 8/13 at 2:15.

So I immediately call and luckily medical facility had a cancelation for the next day.  I swear USCIS... your timing never ceases to amaze me.

I may be the only one not checking all the time. I drove myself absolutely crazy during our K-1 wait, checking the app all hours of the day and then crying when I saw people after us getting approved.

This time I will wait patiently. It'll happen when it happens.

Anyone who has their biometric appt soon,  i had at an appt at 2pm today. was out by 2:20pm. I was the only person there. They get you to fill out the AIW ( just a questionnaire info sheet really - basic info, name, height weight etc) . Then show ID, and appointment letter. anyone who has submitted the AOS in their new name, take your marriage certificate with you as proof of this. I did just in case and they asked to see it.

After this , i was called over for my photo, digital signature and finger prints.

Its as easy as that. Very friendly people, very quick! This was the office in SLC if anyone was wondering

    Hello!

We got married on 6/30 and will be mailing off our AOS application this week.
Nervous about doing more waiting, but I am glad to be here with others going through the same thing!

As per the last VJ stats, IR1/CR1 is 400+days. I'm a September filer and I most likely would not have even had my interview at this point, had we married and filed the I-130 petition instead.

As for the total petition filed --> green card in hand processing time... A spousal visa may be quicker. But I can honestly say, for my husband and me, that the K1 was by all means the correct choice. I know all the arguments pro spousal visa, and I agree with them, but coming to live with my now husband in May instead of sometime later this winter meant the world to us. And that was definitely the priority, vs. getting the green card asap. I am not in a hurry to naturalize, I am not in a hurry to remove any conditions, or even get the conditional green card in the first place. It would be nice to work, so waiting for EAD is a bit of a drag, and I will surely be climbing the walls in a few weeks if not sooner. But STILL - we are together  That's what matters, in my opinion.

So I had my medical today in London. All ok but they need some more information from my GP. I thought I’d provided enough to satisfy this but apparently not. Another hurdle to cross. My interview is on the 21st.
