You had religious ceremony but did you sign legal papers that bind your marriage by law? If you are not legally married, ie with a marriage certificate, you are not married. End of story.

Eh, this is particularly hard to do successfully.  The government is relying on the US citizen to be the screener.  Some of them are better at it than others.

This is why they should screen harder at the interview. This is BS, their is real couples out there that really love each other and not able to get a visa and some ppl who are not in love and only want a GC get it so easy.  If I were you I would not let her get away, that.

Don't be. Also don't be afraid to seek advice from another lawyer (even if its just a consultation) and seek justice against this person. 
Try emailing the USCIS embassy as well. explain your situation and maybe someone can help... don't give up!!!

Send to wherever the official USCIS website says. You could live right next door to the Cali Service Center, but send it to the Dallas Lockbox Facility because they all get sent/distributed to the CSC. btw, a question not asked is a dumb question lol. you're good!!!!!!!!! good luck to ya!!

Ummm, so i have been racking my brain, as i know a lot of you have with this whole k1 visa process... is anyone a August/September filer? I am a Sept. filer and i must say, I'm sick already lol, seeing that people are saying that they haven't been approved for months (generally i know it takes about 3-4 months for NOA2- which the process after receiving that makes me dry heave).... how is everyone feeling? tell me I'm not the only crazy-nervous one on here.... :):)
