    So, just now I received an email from the NVC with the letter attached stating my case was forwarded over to the Kingston, Jamaica Embassy and to apply and prepare for the interview....SMH.

    I guess the NVC calls themselves been "eco-friendly" and not mailing the letter. If I would have waited on them to get confirmation, Reni's interview and medical wouldn't have been scheduled until mid-late May!!!! They are over a week late sending me this! <_<

    So glad to see you've moved forward!  Can't believe it's been so long!  You're almost there now!  Congrats!!

    Been a while since I have been here, Hope everyone is doing fine. So we had our medical date and interview date set. First it was the medical and that's where things did not go well. My fiancee went to St. lukes on March 1st, after all the testing she was told that there was an abnormality  on her chest xray, but did not see TB so they told her to come back for 3 days and give a mucus sample each day, tomorrow will be her 3rd day. after talking with her, she explains to me that there are between 300 - 400 visa applicants with the same problem. Can this be possible?  How can 300 people have chest abnormalities? I know St Lukes is the only place to get the medical as per the US embassy rules, but I am starting to think there is something not right, since they would not show her the xray results. They said it is not their practice to show xrays, which I find hard to believe since we paid for the medical exam and have every right to see them. Now we have to wait for the results of the mucus samples, and she was told even if the results are negative she still has to take anti biotics for 2 months be fore being cleared medically.  Why would you have to take  medication if the results are negative, something seems corrupt to me. And worst case, if the results are positive  she has to take anti biotics for 6 months and then take the whole medical exam again and pay the fee again. Has anyone else in my VJ family  had this issue  if so please give your advice. Thanks!

    We were worried too so just a week before had her do x-ray.  Soon as came back clear we sent her.  Many people have complained about them there.  It's really just rolling the dice with them.  It is crazy that they make them take antibiotics for 2 months, I thought that was dumb.  I did read if TB is present but latent, treatment can be done in US.  If it's active must be done there.  I do think US needs to approve other medical places, just one is too restrictive and should allow a second look,not to mention many have to fly to Manila.  I hope everything is clear!!!  All May filers need to be finished!

    Question for the affidavit of support... What evidence are you submitting? We just submit what it said in the instruction as follows:

    A. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions with deposits, identifying the following details
    regarding the account:
    (1) Date account opened;
    (2) Total amount deposited for the past year; and
    (3) Present balance.
    B. Statement(s) from your employer on business stationery showing:
    (1) Date and nature of employment;
    (2) Salary paid; and
    (3) Whether the position is temporary or permanent

    Now I see people talking about W2 and pay stubs... is it necessary? Or are we good with the evidence listed as in the instructions?

    I would say you're good, I read all that too but their site does not request that.  I plan to take a copy of my W2 (I saw can do I-864 EZ as well if W2 will cover the 125% poverty guideline and other items to meet criteria as well).  I would think most people could settle with the EZ form and just need copy of W2.  Saw all this on same website I believe you're looking at as well.

    I understand people's concern but they don't ask for it.  If near poverty of 125% then I would definitely want to take extra showing more funds in reserve and stuff.

    Hey everyone,

    Does anyone know what vaccines are needed or where I can find a list? Since we have some time while waiting for our NVC# , we wanted to get ahead and make sure we have them all before the medical interview.

    Thanks!

    Most places include vaccines in with the medical so may want to check and see so don't waste time and money on it.  We were worried too because her vaccination records were lost.  So try not to stress till find information on it.

    I have a questions about the I-134 form:

    When should I fill it out? Should I wait until my fiance gets closer to interview? Or do it now? I'm asking because I'll provide bank info. I don't want the info to be too old if I get it now.

    Also, of the 3 options. Can I just do my bank only, or do I need to get more than one?

    Thanks

    Usually they say once letter is received from NVC.  Funds shouldn't change too much.

    The more the better.  Unless you have high pay well above poverty and W2 shows it.  They just wanna know fiance won't be burden.

  6. I got my case number for my fiance (it's still at NVC).  I'm worried because she has pneumonia she will need to have TB sputum testing done because they'll likely see white on her lungs during x-ray.   Can I have her go ahead and submit the DS-160 and pay fees and schedule a medical before the case is in Manila and "ready"?

    If they do see spots, is it directly onto the sputum testing or do they do other (shorter) tests to determine if TB is present?

    We're really worried because we've waited so long already for this!

    Thank you for your help!

    @Shoegum @Naes - tagged y'all because you know a lot of process and might know someone who can help (in other words y'all are great!)
