dealerofhappiness reacted to David & Diana R in RFE is bank statement really needed?
You really don't want to print all these papers??? Give them what they want. How much does a copy cost? A few cents per page? Print and sen all the pages proving you have nothing to hide.

dealerofhappiness reacted to Going through in RFE is bank statement really needed?
If the RFE is specifically asking for the bank statements----send the bank statements.
Sending something else in it's place (when USCIS specifically requested something) may just lead to another RFE for the documents they required in the first place, and delay your case even longer.

I am so confused as to why you're so persistent that you would not submit bank statements. If the RFE requests for bank statements, then you need to provide the bank statements. If you use online banking, bank statements gets uploaded at the end of the month to your online account, just look for a printer somewhere and print them. you don't have to pay the bank to get them. You cannot resubmit what was not requested from you.

You certainly don't have to get a stamp, just majority of the people feels safer that way. It does not affect your actual status in any way.
(However, it was pointed out by someone earlier that technically residents MUST have proof of their status with them at all times, and technically it is considered a misdemeanor if you don't. With this being said, I have never in my life heard that anyone had any issues with this. I did the stamp, but I am obviously not going to carry my foreign passport on me every time I live house...)

Totally agreed. I was just curious about if the above mentioned scenario is possible, it is highly unlikely it will happen, even if it did, why would they go through the trouble producing the card knowing the applicant is going to surrender it it pretty soon after the 400 approval? So I will probably never get my 10 year green card, but the 751 will be approved by law though, they have to according to INA. Yes, having applied for 400 is not going to speed up the 751, some applicants seem to think that is a possibility, and unfortunately, no one can prompt or force USCIS to move an inch of anything, on the contrary, it actually delays it and combines it with later 400 adjudication. Normally this doesn't happen because applicants usually get their 10 year green card in a year, but this year is so delayed(CSC) that it forces many applicants to apply for 400 while they are eligible while 751 is pending. Yes, my ultimate goal is 400, so I just need to wait it out and get over 751 being delayed even though like I said, it might sting a little bit being skipped over, lol. After all, I can have all the patience i need mentally, but I am only human.

There is no evidence that applying for 400 will speed up the 751 process, as a matter of fact, it is just the opposite. Applying for 400 seems to delay the 75, of all the June or July filers who have yet to be 751 approved, 100 percent of the the applicants who applied for 400 with 751 pending, none of them have been 751 approved. So I don't understand why you seem to think applying for 400 will expedite the 751 approval. It delays it until probably when the 400 interview is available, and the dual adjudication will probably take place. If we really want to talk about "fairness". There are applicants that applied 400 online this August and some of them have already gotten the 400 interview letters for October or November. Applying 400 online should not cut ahead of people who filed on paper, it should be processed in order it was received, but what can you do? It is not the fault of the 400 on line applicants, it is the fault of the immigration system. Applying 400 while 751 is pending normally does not happen, it is this year huge CSC delay that is causing this mess, but the fact is just the opposite of your concern, applying 400 delays 751, and it seems unfair because people like us have been waiting for a long time, knowing we probably will be delayed for another 7 months is unbearable, but i guess our rewards will be the ultimate 400 approval, so is it fair? It appears to be for people like us, but in the long run, we will be finally adjudicated and it will lead to the citizenship, so I am not sure whether it is even unfair to begin with, it is just how USCIS operates in this bizarre and unprecedentedly delayed CSC year. However, I do agree all applications should be processed in order they were revived, but the delay of CSC this year makes it complicated, it is just no longer black and white or fair or not fair. We just need to keep following up and hang in there until we are all approved. Good luck, I totally understand your concerns about fairness though. Also, I have not seen any documented cases where someone's calling the senator resulting in cutting ahead of other applicants. As a matter of fact, calling a senator is a waste of time and does not expedite the process as well.

Would you happen to know who is the developer of visajourney.com?
Yet, you provided them with your name, location, email, password (that most of the people reusing the same password for many logins) and VJ "developers" able to see your IP which in 2017 can pretty much be equal to your exact address (unless you are using a lot of professional software to hide/change your IP)...
Security is important, but lets not make it to the point where it is in the way of convenience.
Hackers don't want our case numbers.... I can barely even look at my own, have been staring at it for over a year now.
For me this app brings a little calm to my anxiety... everyday I check 500 cases around mine and everyday I see changes... one by one applications being approved. I personally very grateful that this app exist and even free.
I am sorry for going so far away from what this forum intended to be, but I also wanted to mention that to publish application in the apple app store you have to go through a lot of checks, and apple will look at the code to see what the app is doing and what information it is collecting. It is not easy at all to get your app trough all the checks. With this in mind, there is no other way to install anything on your apple device rather than "breaking" it illegally which has to be done by owner of the device... so if you installing it like any person would from app store, you are 100% safe.
I cannot comment regarding android devices, because I don't have experience with them, but something tells me that it goes through very similar security checks.
I understand that you don't want to use it, but please don't confuse people by saying that it is not safe, because it is absolutely not true.

I think we are going way off topic here, but I strongly disagree with this statement (I actually work in IT for a very large corporation)
Bottom line is apps were created for people convenience and they are free... hard to complain about something that is free.
Also, I am not sure what is the security concerns here? EAC numbers is public information that you cannot really do anything with, its not a social security number....
Its easy to get real case number that actually belongs to someone - example:
EAC1700551261 - now lets assume I am a bad guy (I promise I am not) what can I get out of it? I can see that this is a case for removal of conditions that been accepted by vermont office on October 6. Thats pretty much all i can get..... No names, no addresses, no possibility to change anything..... This information is only valuable to its owner who is tracking his case, for everybody else this is absolutely useless.
This is exactly the reason that case tracker is public information, you don't need to enter any passwords or prove your identity, that is why those apps can "connect" without any issues at all.
From technology prospective those apps extremely simple and straightforward (probably created by fellow applicant who was frustrated with the wait times)

dealerofhappiness got a reaction from Chime19 in Multiple addresses question?
I have somewhat similar situation. We actually live in 2 different states, so there is 2 separate leases (Me and my wife in both leases).
To make it a little worse, my wife is a resident of one state and I am of second (we work in different sates and constantly traveling to first or second state)
Our lawyer wrote an addendum (explanation) letter that we included in our ROC package, that describes that our jobs require us to be in different states time to time, therefor we have 2 different residences.
Will we face negative questions? - Probably, but you have a good way to explain it, and it is certainly better than lie about it...
I have not received any questions/decisions so far, so cannot say for sure if this creating any issues...

I dont response to these kind of questions, evaluate your questions and you should know what's the answer. Maybe you should attend some IT security training so you would know what I'm trying to point out.

I might be wrong, but I always believed that the only safety concern with the apps is what exactly this particular app can access on your phone. For example, Google maps can access my accounts on the device, read my contacts (what for?) and so on, yet it is considered "safe" and almost every smartphone user happily plays with it. As for the Aries USCIS Case Tracker app, it does not even remotely have so much freedom with my phone content as Goggle Maps. I always check what content an app wants to access when I install it, and usually go for less gready apps if there is an alternative.

dealerofhappiness reacted to 4444510 in I-751 Interview now mandatory?
From my understanding, based on all the information from different sources, I see it as some officers like to intimidate people by saying this kind of stuff. Everyday we get news about approvals on this forum. How many reported interviews? Like one out of hundreds? If delays were caused by the interviews all other service centers would be out of their normal processing times. However, as we can see VSC keeps the same pace as a year or even two years ago. I-751 is not that category which USCIS would want to interview badly. There are other categories that represent higher level of concern such as first time filers and refugees. So it's kinda annoying that from time to time you can hear officers feed us with this BS. It seems sometimes some of them do that because they cannot hold the power in real life, so they do it at work picturing themselves kings of the world.

dealerofhappiness got a reaction from Idd1989 in 172,298 I-751 Applications Pending
Interesting... Each quarter they receive almost double amount of applications comparing to number that they process(approved/denied) and their backlog growing by 20,000 petitions every 3 month..... Thats a bad statistics... if this tendency will continue, people who will apply at the very end of this year will have to wait almost 2 years, which simply doesn't make any sense because you can get your N400(naturalization) faster than that.... and in this case, what is the point of I751(apart from receiving fees from us)?
They need to stop approaching this as a business(which it is a business as USCIS funded by application fees entirely) and bring some more effective structure. And if this is a business, then we need some alternatives, such expedited processing?!?
