Hi all - we had our medical today. It was incredibly easy. My fiance brought his record of vaccinations. They had him pee in a cup, took some blood, and took his blood pressure. For the second part, they sent us to another building for the chest x-ray. I think overall, it took about an hour and a half including the waiting for our turn.

This was at the Regina Maria in Bucharest. Just for anyone's reference, it was 650 lei (about $170). YMMV.

The doctor mentioned that even if the labs showed some kind of STD (gonoyrrhea or syphilis), it would not affect his visa, it would just mean he would start a treatment. Not sure how accurate that advice is... :P

We were really nervous, but it turned out okay :) When we get the results in 7 days, we can schedule the interview.

Thanks for sharing. Very useful info. 7 days? I thought I could fly to Bucharest, do the medical and in a few days schedule the interview...(2-3days) So i need to make at least two trips or more to pic up the results and then interview... :| Did you get a copy of the vaccination record from the Doctor? (Ds-30xx? Dont remember the number)

I have the same pain... theybusually go more strong on huge dates but then again there's a bigger possibility on being hit and miss on when they go through the month first round....... it is scary (I'm on a Friday too)

    I am on a Tuesday :)

And you are right, I dont need to think about this stuff. Uscis is like a black box, u submit your petition and at some point it will come out at the other end :)

Yep :) I just wanted to put it that way instead of a list of numbers.

we will make alllllllt his blue!!! (I'm running out of colors to separate months 😂😂)

Cool :) thanks. It looks better as a graph.

Don't worry about colors, any color will do, just have big contrast between them :))) Now I am not sure if it's a good thing to be on a day with very few applications and before my date there is a day with a ton of applications....

    Hey everyone,

I've added September-November in to the drive.

However please remember these do not contain any WAC numbers however, all newly given ID numbers according to the same order of their WAC number.

So they can be used in analysis or if anyone wants to check the conditions of any month.

I'll update active months weekly, and the rest monthly.

December still has numbers with validation error and I'm trying to figure out if there's any change so far.

My account got locked out because I used the wrong browser and my password wasn't saved. I didn't remember it. I called them to ask how to reset it and transferred to tier 2 who transferred me to some "elis" account recovery? I'm not sure if that's how it's spelled but they said it's about another form and they don't have i-129f accounts. How can i get my account unlocked? since USCIS was no help...

There is a Forgot Password or Forgot Username button on the login page of the egov.uscis page. Don't need to call, you can reset it yourself.

  6. I am in the same boat as you. I didn't say anything yet, when i will have the visa on hand probably i will tell to my bother. He already met my fiancé like twice when he was visiting, but we didnt show any affection in front of him. Since my brother and I live in the same flat he might figured it out (skype every day, messages during the afternoon etc), but didn't say anything yet. I will tell my mother that I got a work visa...

About the consulate... Since it's not legal to get married in Romania as a gay couple I don't think it would be an issue. I looked at interview questions just to be prepared. So be prepared, tell the truth, i think they should understand that you are not out to your family or friends.

@ineedadisplayname @Swissmiss82 i was thinking exactly the same but then for me it will turn into 3 weddings.. i need to have one small wedding in India..one after i land there and one more big wedding...thats why am all worked up. my fiance is doing her MS in US and she had to complete it by September and then take up her job too and she wouldn't get many holidays.

Oh I see. Since u r on K1 be careful with weddings since you need not to be married to do the K1. Not sure about weddings without religious blessings and no paperwork. Worth to check it out.

Edit: saw others already warned you about it.

Thank you soo much..Yes i am definitely changing the dates. mostly to mid august. Thank god i haven't purchased the flight tickets for my family still!. Now we have to fix another date for the wedding and start planning from scratch!!! :(

I think mid august is still soon? But that is my two cents on the topic. Also you could have a modest courthouse wedding and do your fancy wedding at a later time after you filed AOS or something. So you would have time to plan and organize so it wouldn't be that stressful.

Yeah, we use the Poşta.  It takes FOREVER though, so if I want those summer clothes in time for summer, I should probably ship them now :P

Yeah.  :))) They delivered the paperwork around 2 weeks, no tracking number. Thats why I asked what are you planning to use. For sure I can't bring everything with me, also was not planning on it, but still two suitcases seems nothing. (Maybe three if he will come to the interview) I can pack easily 23kg for a three week holiday (I am a guy, but also big so my clothing are big and heavy too) so I thought I could try to ship some stuff which otherwise I need to left behind.... Let me know if u ship something and more importantly if it arrives in one piece :).

Oh everyone will know easily when I get my noa2 😂 Not from a timeline but from my scream that will go reach California from Japan :D

I'm expecting them to tell him we are in "normal processing times" "there is a backlog" "they are working on June 1" (or whatever at the moment they say they do...) and that they can't give information 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

but need to warm him up and bring him him up to speed on being angry at this process... I don't want him to go too soft when the time comes hehe

Ha ha ha :)) When I will hear a scream coming from far far away I will know u got your NOA2 :))  Also it is not a bad idea to get accustomed to the support. Maybe I will ask my soon yo be  better half to call them next month and try to get some info if our background checks where completed at least. Not expecting any more information what I read from others. Btw not sure if being angry with the customer service will help. I read in some other threads that they just might hang up the phone.

We are planning on sending small-ish/medium sized boxes (maybe 5 or so) of our more precious things through the post. It's not as expensive to ship them from Romania to the states as it would be to check an extra bag or three lol.

Are you planning to use the Romanian Post service or some currier service? I was thinking about shipping some of my stuff too, but not sure how it would work (if they lose it or not, tracking, insurance, do I need to pay some tax on them? ) or how much it would cost. (I payed around $12 if I remember well just to send like four sheets of A4 paper to the USA)

I recently submitted my advanced parole document along with my I-485. I learned today, however, that I have a family member in my home country who is sick and is having surgery next month. I really need to return home to care for them, however, I understand I cannot leave the country until I receive AP.

What should I do? Is there anyway I could make it back without violating the terms of my status?

If you leave without the AP they are going to assume you are abandoned your petition.

As cyanmavi suggested try the emergency AP, https://my.uscis.gov/helpcenter/article/is-emergency-advance-parole-available

That's what my wife did. The marriage license application requested the SSN if she had one. At the SSA you only "apply" for one, but none is issued yet. We walked straight from the SSA to the courthouse.

No state requires SSN for marriage (if you don't have one already). Undocumented immigrants (or whatever term people prefer now) can marry fine.

Nope. At least not here...we walked out with a paper that said we applied for it and it should arrive in the mail within a couple weeks.

There is an exception to this for certain religious groups and such that are except from SS altogether (no taxes & no disbursements), in which they technically get an SSN as required to do so, but never have a card produced and just enter the number on a form that excludes them from having to participate in SS.

    Thank you for the information.

  14. I am still far from getting the approval, but this thread is interesting.

It is legal to apply for SSN, then go get the marriage license and declare that I don't have SSN? So basically do stuff concurrently. With these timelines doing it concurrently would have some advantages. (Less waiting for SSN and marrige certificate before filing AOS) Not every state requires an SSN for marriage.

This is just an article. It's not telling someone the reason why their visa is taking forever. If this held true I'm sure the uscis would advise of new rules in place but they haven't. Nothing official has been released. For now the reason is just high demand. The only process noted in the article was during the interview process. You should come in here and say people live under a rock. We are all in the same boat and maybe we will get lucky with the holidays over things will pick up.

Initially that is why I said,  i leave it there to read. Didn't want to start a comment war or anything. I sincerely apologise if I offended you in any way.  I remember that I read in June or July filers forum that people looked into the USCIS report which the article assumably based on so I thought worth sharing. Sure we are in the same boat, i know most of us is frustrated by now, which I understand in a way, but just posting to ask about timelines and why is taking so long which was discussed a ton of times before makes me frustrated :) Also as you mentioned not even the support wants/knows/allowed to answer. Not because the n+1 posts hurts me but because a lot of people just ask without searching and later on its harder to find the useful information in the threads.

Nothing wrong with this article. Stronger vetting is necessary. However, the uscis needs to improve communication with its applicants and at least let us know what's going on. No point in having customer service that can't provide us information on our applications

I didn't say it is wrong what is in the article. Actually provided information. I just posted it because every time I come to this forum to see if something moved or not I only see why my NOA2 takes forever posts, like people live under a rock.
