  1. It's just approved yesterday night on 9pm, so I'm waiting letter... I don't have anything with out email. So what I do?

You have to get your case number and IIN number this number to pay the fee, from the person you talk to at NVC. It'll probably take 5 or so days to get from California to Vermont where the NVC is.

Go read this link very carefully it has links and takes you through all the process.

You have to pay 2 fees. Access the CEAC site to get your status. There are 2 online forms that you have to fill out and print after you are done. There's a lot of info you have to fill in.

So look at all the steps on the NVC_Process and it takes you through everything.

  2. Hey guyz, howz everyone holding up......hope good...anyways want to ask a quick question.... Abt sending out my RFE back to CSC..we have our Chat logs with our pet names,do we have to change it to our real names before printing out....yeah the RFE came on Monday.......

So they are asking for relationship evidence?

I don't know if you want to change the names, just document what name is who.

But you must have some sort of things like meetings, airline tickets, boarding passes, passport stamp, receipts from places you went together. Anything at all to show that there was money exchanged between you two, especially the US petitioner to the foreign spouse.

  3. I just looked up what the priority date actually means in reference to the I -130. It doesn't have anything to do with if your a USC or LPR or not. On USCIS it says:

"For family-sponsored immigrants, the priority date is the date that the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, or in certain instances the Form I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, is properly filed with USCIS". Just I lil informative information for those who really what to know the date stand for in this whole process. Good luck still to everyone ??✌. Lol

You are right about how and which priority date is given, but for getting the Visa it makes lot of difference whether you are USC or LPR.

    Availability of Immigrant Visas

The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) sets the number of immigrant visas that may be issued to foreign nationals seeking to become lawful permanent residents (get a Green Card) each year.

Immigrant visas for “immediate relatives” of U.S. citizens are unlimited, so they are always available. Immediate relatives include:

    • The spouses of U.S. citizens,
    • The children (unmarried and under 21 years of age) of U.S. citizens,
    • The parents of U.S. citizens at least 21 years old, and
    • Widows or widowers of U.S. citizens if the U.S. citizen filed a petition before his or her death or if the widow(er) files a petition within 2 years of the citizen’s death.

Immigrant visas for the family-sponsored and employment-based immigrant preference categories are numerically limited, so they are not always immediately available. For more information, please see the Green Card Eligibility page.

  5. Hey, I've been watching this thread for a while but not posted, hoping to give everybody a glimmer of hope today that progress is being made! So, our 130 was sent Dec 2nd 2015, NOA1 is dated 7th Dec 15 (pd right??). It was sent to Nebraska service centre and was approved yesterday (4/4/16), after 119 days, no RFE. Things are moving forward!

Now am I right in saying we wait for it to be sent to NVC and wait to hear from them? If it's longer than a few weeks start chasing?

Dig in guys, hopefully not much longer for those still waiting ?

Hi Floriday, wow congrats! 7th of December wow you've probably hit a record as one of the earlist December filers! Yes your case gets sent to NVC but we never hear of somebody getting a message from them cause usually people are too eager and they keep calling NVC until they get their case number and IIN or whatever its called, Number that they need to pay the fee.

There's a good link that somebody posted on here that tells you everything about the NVC Process, just I can't post the link right now.

    Good luck

  6. Hi there

I'm very new here and don't know how to go trough proper question procedure. Sorry for that in advanced.

On March 19, 2015, USCIS approved your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number WAC15900*****. Then it was sent to NVC for next steps. But today, my husband got another email from NVC that mention:

    "Dear Sir/Madam

The National VISA Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: DHK2015***** filled by *my husband's NAME* on behalf of *my NAME*.

We returned immigrant visa petition DHK2015**** to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). If you have more question about this case, please contact USCIS.

    USCIS CONTACT INFOMATION:

    ..........................

    ..........................

    ..........................

    Case Number: DHK2015****

    Petitioner's Name: *******

    Principal Applicant's Name: ******

    Preference Category: F2A

    Your Priority Date: 03Nov2014

    Foreign State Chargeability: Bangladesh

    Invoice ID Number: ********

    U.S. Embassy"

Now my question is, what does this mean? What should I supposed to do now? I'm totally get confused now and also upset for a such long delay. It's almost a year that I can't meet with my husband :-(

Please someone guide me what should I do now?

    Thanks again

Sounds like NVC needs USCIS to either check something or make some determination. I would have your husband make an INFOPASS appointment with his local office and see what they can tell him. USCIS would probably send you a letter later on but I wouldn't wait for that.

    Good luck.

  7. Yes but my husband is in the Air Force and I also have a dependent ID card that I took with me and his military orders with my name and details on it. Not sure whether that helped or not.

Well thats good. When I went to England to visit my wife for a month the guy nearly flipped out to the point where he took my passport, and we had nearly a half hour discussion, he had me sit in one of those roped box area things and then he finally called my wife and she verified my story and then he let me go!

  8. I hope everyone is doing well. I've been lurking around for quite some time and thought it's about time to start contributing. Below is the timeline of my F2A visa journey.

    12/10/2015 - I-130 sent

    12/13/2015 - Delivered (Chicago Lockbox)

    12/14/2015 - NOA1 (California)

04/01/2016 - Case not approve till now.... ????

Any way have a congratulations who was approved the case and best of luck to further NVC process

Glad you finally got your NOA2 Mkate. Good luck with NVC and the F2A wait.
