  1. It does not have by month searching, I actually just tried to go backward my case number. It is a huge backward, it is worth to try yourself then you have a better picture of who is before and who is after you.

What I can see is approval is not in sequence, there are cases right in front of me and right after me were approved but still there are cases very far before me still has status "Case received".

Well that "Case Received" could be me then, even though I was approved my status has never changed :)

  2. Thank you! I've made a copy of it. Seems very straightforward, thank goodness.

Ok well here's the scoop for London.

IR-1 / CR-1s, non DCF, interviews are only scheduled by NVC. You can only get the appointment changed if you call the Embassy, but they will not guarantee that you get it on that date, but will offer you something else.

London K-1s and DCF's go through NVC for a short instant in time, but don't really, and the appointment would normally be scheduled by the embassy, but now they are allowing people to schedule them.

Oh well, be prepared for that 8:00 on a Monday! :D

  3. Something I forgot to mention for those who follow.

The webpage now lets you book your interview as soon as you have your DS-160 number and LND number, and gives a warning you need to allow 5 working days for medical results to be delivered to embassy.

You also have the options to cancel, reschedule and expedite your requests via the new site.

So you could, receive LND, Complete readiness, DS-160 and book medical for say the next day, and book your interview for 4 weeks later (4 weeks seems to be the minimum the system lets you) So it's a much faster turn around than before.

I'm starting to get the impression that this is not for IR1 / CR1 visa's from looking at the embassy site. For family immigration it always talks about NVC scheduling the interview and that you have to contact the embassy if you can't make that one and you have to reschedule. Also they can't guarantee you'll get it for that date.

  4. Guys I'm really tired of this waiting process. I mean it's 2016 and we people still wait for almost a year to get a visa. It's unbelievable :{ I'm also nervous because I've never made to go abroad. I mean it's really expensive for Turkish people to visit abroad. Once I had a chance to go to Germany. But I was at the high school then and I couldn't get the Schengen visa because my school didn't allow me. Then Morocco. No visa. I was about to go again. This time my friend left his country to study in another country. Once I was about to go to Indonesia (my dream country). This time my parents got divorced!!!! I don't know why I am so unlucky... I feel like God doesn't allow me to leave this country ':( I hope this time it's my turn........

Hi Fatigo, it may seem like a year but we've only been waiting 4 months so far. :) Your time to leave will be coming soon. But you know once you leave it may be a while before you get a chance to visit Turkey again. So why not try to enjoy the friends, family and home you have now, cause for sure once you are in the US, there will be times when you miss your home. Life is always greener somewhere else but you know, "Its not having what you want, its wanting what you've got" :) Had to add that Sheryl Crow line in. :P

  5. Yes, thanks for that Looky although there seems to be confusion whether it's just for K-1 or for CR-1 also. I hope it is for CR-1 because I am NOT a morning person and those 12 noon appointments that you can choose online sound perfect to me. NVC will probably schedule me an 8 am appointment, knowing my luck.

Hopefully this works, attaching the requirements PDF file for London.

Hi JFH, I've been going through the London embassy links. Now I'm confused! :) There's one for Applications Processed by NVC, where NVC schedules the interview, but it seems you are allowed to reschedule it using the IV link in Tricked's post.

I am attaching the PDF file which lists what they require for the interview and it mentions nothing about previous passports.

I would hate a 9:00AM interview in London for sure! I may have got our hopes up for nothing. I tried to go thru the register for interview link but at some point I chickened out cause you need your case info.

Oops well anyway I tried to attach it, I'll try my chrome browser.

  7. Not sure to be honest, I got my old one back when I renewed mine a few weeks ago. But, if it's not routine then they will be aware, it's probably just a standard thing they say.

I believe in the past this was discussed and what was agreed was it wasn't even asked for. But, I would guess if it forms part of your evidence it's good to have/request when renewing? (I didn't)

Ok thanks Tricked. She already got it renewed nearly a year ago. That requirement seems to have qualified that statement with, "especially those that show any international trips."

Which seem to suggest that the previous passport may not be required if there were no international trips.

So assuming they don't consider travel from one EU country to another EU country as an international trip. Then hopefully she doesn't need her previous passport.

    1. Current Passport valid for travel to the United States. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the period of stay in the United States (unless exempt by country-specific agreements.)
    2. All previous passports, especially those that show any international trips or previously issued visas to the United States.
    3. Confirmation and Instructions page printed from this website
    4. One 5 x 5 cm (or 2" x 2") color photo taken within the last 6 months. Further details regarding Department of State photo guidelines can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/passports/photos/photos.html.
    5. Accompanying family members, unless entering the United States for another purpose, should present an original marriage certificate (spouse) and/or birth certification (for unmarried children under 21), as applicable. Many visa types require additional documents. Please see the section below.
    (K) FIANCÉ OR SPOUSE OF A U.S. CITIZEN

Earliest it let me was 28 days. And only one time showed, though other days may have more.

Interesting, it also says old passports.

    ************************************************************************************

Hi Tricked, thanks for the post.

Requirement 2 Asks for All previous passports. That I don't understand. I don't know about UK but in many countries when you renew your passport they take the old one.

Also EU passport holders don't get stamped when travelling to another EU country.

So I don't understand how that requirement makes any sense. I doubt there's any way to get your old passport back? I'm trying to find this for my wife who has a EU passport, but from Latvia (lives in UK).

Does anyone here have an answer to this? Thanks!

  8. I'm the beneficiary, from the UK, I'll email them and explain, the address is correct apart from the first letter of the county, I've put 'Cambs' for Cambridgeshire, they've put 'Lambs' ? Everything else is correct, postcode etc so any mail would definitely find me.

Her name is correct on NOA2 so it's their mistake for sure, like I said I'll email.

Somebody here is from Dorest right? What part?

Yes that should be fine. I doubt they actually mail you anything more these days. Also since you are the beneficiary you will be able to put all your info in the online forms and probably even your wife's info.

I believe JFH is the person you want to talk to about that city.

  9. Hi all,

As an update, we received our welcome letter from NVC today via email, dated 29/4/16, it has case and invoice number so we can begin collecting all we need and paying fees. Our NOA2 was dated 4/4/16.

I guess how long the next part takes depends on how quick we are paying bills and submitting paperwork!

Progress is being made though, hang in there guys, good luck to all!

There's a couple of things wrong on the welcome letter, the first letter of my wife's surname is wrong and the first letter of the County on my address is wrong, do you think this needs to be rectified with them? I guess an email isn't going to hurt.

I think Its very important to get your wife's surname corrected, especially if she is the beneficiary ( the one doing the interview and getting the Visa), that can effect everything from Name Checks they do to the name that shows on the visa itself.

I would also make sure the address is correct, you are probably going to use it on the online forms as the address she will live at in the US.

Hopefully none of these were incorrect on your NOA2 from USCIS?

  10. I wanna ask you what does your case status says exactly?

does it say "case transferred to NVC?

Mine says "case approved " that's all.

    Thank you.

Hi Nadhir, you will get a Notice Of Action (NOA)2 in the snail mail. It will say, 'We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of state National Visa Center (NVC)

I can't tell you what the case status thing says cause for me it has never changed, but its only a nice to have sort of feature. The actual physical letter is what is important.

  11. This is great news for Texas filers. It seems like Nebraska is slowing down again...when was the last Nebraska approval? It seems like it's been a while now...

Yesterday Mr. qalon Nebraska filer was approved. I think several got approved last week. I can't really tell if its slowing down the VJ chart looks the same to me and they say December 19th NOA1s are getting approved.

It seems like Texas just leaped forward, just a few days ago VJ said they were proceessing early November and now early December!

We've still got a bunch in both Texas and Nebraska still waiting to get approved.

  12. Good news!! Got a text today to my phone saying my case status had been updated. Logged in ASAP and sure enough, it says our file is being transferred to the NVC!

Looks like the approval happened yesterday...I wonder why it took a day to update online but either way, I'm not complaining!

I texted my husband right away that the petition was approved. He said, "What does that mean?"

Me: We get to send in more money and paperwork! Woo hoo!

Woohoo, who doesn't like to spend more money! :D Congratulation JlovesA. Wow another texas filer approved. I guess they're running faster than the VJ stats are showing. Well my case status has never updated, I guess I just have to take Texas on their word.

  13. Hi guys, I'm a December Filer, and I've been watching this thread for awhile.

Few minutes ago,I received a text message saying my case has been updated, and when I checked my status on USCIS site, I found

"On April 27, 2016, we approved your Form I-130".

So, I thought I should give you guys a heads up especially for Texas filers (I know how do you feel).

I guess we're all in the same boat...all of us wanna be with their someone; under the same roof... :(

Good luck to all of us in this journey.

    P.S.

Special thanks to LookyWhatIFound for all the efforts and the help she provides.

Big Congratulations Nadhir, oh and your case was from Texas also! Wow you and I are the first two to be approved from there. Also I am happy you found something I said helpful! :D The picture is actually my wife and her dog.

    Good luck with NVC!
