How soon are you guys sending the necessary documents to your fiances? After approval?

I gave him the i134 and a bunch of supporting docs/photos when we were together last week. After approval we’ll add anything else that’s specifically requested.  Maybe we can avoid the DHL fees but probably not haha.

I feel you on the waiting! It’s so hard not to obsess, knowing that NOA2 should be right around the corner!

So, they do any cases without following the date of receiving or according to serial case number

    I’m totally confused

If you flip back through the posts in the September filers part I thread, there's some discussion on this that might help.  It's toward the end, I wish I had the exact location.  But trust me, we all wish there was a clear-cut process!

OK just to give everyone hope ........ my approved petition only took 12 days to get to the NVC from the CSC !!!

approved 3/3/18 and NVC got it 3/15/18

That's great, far better than the 40 to 60 days it was taking in December.  All I want now is the NOA2!

Totally!  That's really encouraging.  We are hoping that the upside to us being a little behind (we're 8 sept), we can clear the NVC faster since things are picking up.  Maybe even get an interview earlier - but that may be too much to ask!

Turkish living in japan... I used to put Turkey as the country too but then I got too many questions related to Turkey yet I had to say I have no clue about it, so I gave up and changed.

i want to go to Turkey if I can just get this visa done!!! I need a vacation and good cheese!!!! (Cheese in japan is blah)

Aww! I’m a California girl and you will LOVE all the good food here! So many options for fresh produce and cheeses - happy cows indeed!

Also fiancé and I just got back from UAE 🇦🇪 and I had so much labneh and halloumi and those Arabic sweets, pistachios and dates, I can’t imagine how much you miss turkish food! Japanese food is good too but so hard to get dairy or something really spicy. If you guys get up to San Francisco, cheese and bread (and wine if you want) are on me!

I am not sure how this post is going to come off, but - sorry if it comes off too blunt/mean and kudos to those who understand.

No one here is an expert on the USCIS. We give each other advice and answers that we know based on the country we're applying for.

We are ALL literally doing our best to understand how the process works, which documents are needed, etc

Not one of you is any better than the next....

I say this because I receive messages asking why I'm doing, why I'm doing that... ever since I posted that I'm printing 200 pictures.

That is MY choice. We are printing them ANYWAY. We had a GIANT traditional morrocan engagement party. Those only we selected 80 to print.

You can really take whatever you want to the interview. No one here has walked in and asked a CO personally what they're looking at. Some say take screen shots, others say

just print the conversation. (I choose screen shots, because the other version looks like you can just edit it on Word.)

I truly wish everyone the best of luck, but do whats in your heart. No one here should tell you what they are going to look at during the interview. If you want 5 pictures, a few convos - do it.

If you want an entire photo album and the entire conversation since you met. Do it.

Just irritating to see people assume they know how the interview will go. It can be 5 min or an hour. You just never know... and I for one, rather be overly prepared. Good luck to everyone

We can all get a little too bogged down by these small details - you're right, at the end of the day we're all responsible for our own cases!  When all else fails I just think of the couples on 90-Day Fiance - if THEY made it through, it can't be that hard! Have a good weekend :D

his approved medical facility is in another country lol so yeah we are in the same boat , however i think i will have him schedule an appointment to have some of these done I'm just not sure where to start looking for the exact vaccines he will need. I'm limited because there are literally NO! people here from my country or going to Senegal embassy so on VJ im kind of on my own in a way

That's true!  That must be extra confusing, sorry girl!  I'm sure what you guys decide will be fine...

  7. 11 minutes ago, AntoinetteB said:

thats exactly what they did in his country they came to his school to give them to the children. So what are the vaccines they will give you all at the medical? are you waiting until your medical to get yours?

I spoke to another USC with a Ghanaian fiancé (who’s been approved and made it to US last month) and she said the vaccines will depend on the region. My fiancé doesn’t have much in the way of records either, and he’s going to wait until the official medical appointment to get anything rather than risk not having the right documentation for anything he gets elsewhere.  We were also advised that he may not be able to get all the vaccines at once, so start that process as soon as you can.  Hopefully he’s not too far from the approved medical place. My fiancé is a 4 hour drive away 😒. Hope that helps!

    Hey Augustines!

They literally started updating in the middle of my scan.....

But as I am already 1 hour late to work(I don't really care) I will cut it and won't restart for now.

( So the scan is only 8/21 and later )

I think mine may be a bit different because I submit online through RapidVisa. I basically go through them and they send to where it has to go. If I would have done this alone, I'd be beyond lost. They have check list after check list and I think we paid 1,200 in total for the filing fee plus their fee. Worth it. Just wanted to get to filling out the information but it says in bold "DON'T DO THIS UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THE APPROVAL." LOL

Haha, well I guess you have to listen to them!  I think there'll be plenty of time, but yeah, I wanted to have it done early and not have to send stuff through DHL.  I'm sure it'd be just my luck that the embassy would ask for something I didn't anticipate, and I'll still have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to send paper halfway around the world

Has anyone starting filling out the Affidavit of Support? I wanted to browse through the questions but since my documents are on rapidvisa, I can't move to the next page unless I fill out as I go and it says not to, until i receive the approval.

I was thinking about it since it'll be easier to give everything to my fiance when I see him early next month.  I'll have to check over the questions carefully - there's a lot from i-129 too.

We are received sept 21, NOA2 sept 25! And we are hoping mid march 🙏 and I wanna be with him by May 😁

Let's hope everything goes smooth and the process in Rio goes fast as well.

I hope it goes fast for you also!  My fiancé is the “dream big” type, I plan conservatively and just hope to be pleasantly surprised haha. It seems like the post-NOA2 activities are also speeding up, so hopefully that'll hold true for us!

My fiance is leaving tomorrow back to U.S. and we are already sad with the perspective of meeting again only in a few months, seeing August moving in approvals is comforting, but we know we still have a long way to go. But it's so confusing to believe in the visa journey prediction for our NoA2 is just in april if they are already looking through August. We tend to believe that it will come before that and in May we'll be almost in the end.

What's the prediction for you guys?  👀

My fiancé says March 6 and I say March 10 (I’m cautiously optimistic)...received by USCIS sept 8, NOA1 sept 11...

I hope for interview in April and POE by Memorial Day 🤗. Would be great to kick off the summer together!

we are such a silent forum lol watch just like august filers people will pop up never posted will come from know where  Im approved :cry:laughing:lol:

Hahaha I know! I’m a stress ball, just waiting. I don’t want to think about it, just want to let it cook but that’s all I can think about! Fiancé and I are going to Dubai in two weeks but still taking bets on NOA2. It was supposed to be a distraction! 😏  Sending sugary, caffeinated, RedBull vibes to all at USCIS!

I honestly wouldn't know if my dates moved. I didn't even know it had an estimate until last week so mine shows between March 21-23. Who knows though. I leave my fiancé on Thursday. Headed back to New York. He's so optimistic about being with me soon and I'm just all kinds of sad because I've came every 2 months since September to see him and now my job won't let me. I literally had to sign something that I won't take a vacation  anytime soon. I guess I was lucky enough to take 3 two week trips in a 6 month time frame. Just praying in the next coming months he's buying a ticket to come see me

I feel ya!  We'll meet up again in early March and after that I really don't have the vacation time to take another visit, not if we still want to plan a little wedding dinner or go around and see family.  And every dollar we spend treating ourselves to a holiday is a dollar less we have when we're eating rice and waiting for his employment authorization! Hopefully we will all be well sorted by June!

I put together this table for myself to find the total costs involved with the K-1 but I figured others might be able to make use of it too. I am from the UK so some of the costs will vary for you, of course, and some of the actions aren't necessary for everyone so you'll need to make some adjustments to find your total cost. Hope it helps!

Our petition turns 140 days tomorrow and I honestly couldn't feel more content. We will be seeing each other one "last" time in April. Earliest POE estimation at the moment is June. He's filing his taxes so I can show up with the latest return. Yesterday we decided on some joint savings goals for the next few years (for the both of us, even though I will obviously have at least a four month gap with no income within that timeframe). I'm excited to be together again, it will be just over two years for us when I move, which was the absolute maximum we set. Happy Monday everyone.

We're getting there!  I'm also feeling cautiously optimistic - either way, we have most of the NOA1 to NOA2 time behind us, and I can't wait to start getting ready for the next steps.

We'll be getting together in early March in Dubai, and I think that'll be the last time until POE.  Although I'm always tempted to go to Ghana and "bring him back" with me!  We'll see how the money looks by then hahaha.  I change my mind on wedding plans and flights/trip plans like every week and it probably drives him nuts :jest:

This has honestly felt like the longest five months ever!
