Hi all, I need to travel soon and my card is more than a year expired. Waiting on removing conditions for 10 year card. Can I travel with the extension letter? How to get an infopass to a stamp on passport? Thanks.

Hello all,
Asking for advise. We are about to travel out of the country and wanted to check about any issues with that. Traveling with the expired green card (expired August 2021) and the 18 month extension letter. I read on the website the infopass appointments are not available at the moment, so can't get my passport stamped. Thanks in advance!

Hello June group, got the 24 month extension letter on the mail for Texas. Looks like we got a longer wait.

I need you guys to shoot me some strong masculine names....he's applying for citizenship and it's my understanding he can change his name then....hopefully that's right and Redouane wants a new name....
Well, I am going to suggest that any name that starts with an R will be great. This way, we can keep calling him R.

Hello group,
Package arrived - June 1
Payment cashed- June 7
Received mail notification and receipt number - June 15
Did not received text or email notification.
I do not see any updates in my USCIS account. I was wondering if this is normal? or maybe there is another page where we can check updates online. Thank you.

Thank you feeling a bit better on the evidence part. We will ask when he sets up the interview if I'm allowed to attend.I think I'll go regardless as I miss him so much and I can atleast ride with him there to support him.
Ohhh and for sure the best part was celebrating like two crazies outside the embassy hhh. 😍❤️

Hello, it seems that you have a lot of proof by meeting his family and traveling there more then one time. I would highly recommend to be with him at the interview. As the petitioner, I was able to be at the interview in Algeria an answer questions. It was also helpful to mention that during the AOS interview because is not a usual thing to take that extra step. Note that not all the countries will let you in to join him during the interview though.

Thank you for that. Amazingly enough my fiancé knew what that document was and I didn’t 😂😂
Salam, I agree with Janet3. Make sure he asks for a copy of the DS-3025 form at the clinic in Algiers to do the AOS later. If they don't give it you him, you may email them later, but it will take a longer time. Good luck!

Hi, I had a question regarding the military card, what if my fiance is too young to be exempted? (he's 28) Does he have to serve in the military before coming to the states? Is there no way around it? He's the youngest of two brothers and when he went to go ask to be exempted because he takes care of his parents, they told him because he is the youngest of two brothers, and because his brother didn't serve, he has to serve his time. Any information would really help.
Thanks
Hello, I know they ask for the Military Certificate (with translation) or exempted notice. Even if they don't ask for these documents at interview, he might have a problem when returning to Algeria in the future for not compleating this mandatory service. I hope someone can have a better answer on how to get the exempted notice before his interview.

You should update it at some point as K1visaHopeful mentioned. However, to be allowed to work the EAD or the greencard is enough. The employer uses the form I-9 'Employment Eligibility Verification' from USCIS to verify the eligibility. You can take a look at the form what documents can be used to verify.
Greetings from MA!
Thank you all for all this good info!

Hello VJ, I was wondering if we have to update the SSN card from not authorized to work to allowed to work, after EAD combo has been issued?

Thank you so much, everybody.
I believe we love each other but he can’t commit to the government contract.
I’ll be back to my country and figure out what to do.
I did quit the job and told everybody “I’m getting married!”
so, this is a very shame.
But happens.
Thank you.
Sorry to hear about this difficult moment. This K1 road is not an easy one. You seem like a strong person and many beautiful things will come your way. Wish you the best!

Hello VJ,
If you don't mind sharing your opinion about the name change for the petitioner before sending the AOS package. We got married and I will like to change my last name to his. The only problem I see is with my passport because it can take up to 3 week to renew it. I understand that I must send the bio info page of both passports for the AOS package. Thank you in advance!

Doesn't left down corner contain a name DS-3025?? Same to you @Zjazzy ?
DS-3025 is a vaccination record filled by panel physician, as long as your med exam is not older then a year when you apply for AOS copy of DS-3025 is enough
I emailed the clinic and asked for a copy of that DS-3025. Cross fingers they will send me a copy and it would be enough as you said.

This is a long process but the visiting will help a lot. Wish you the best and be strong with your love!

I never personally read a lot about I-693 bcs I knew I won't need.
It seems it should be only vaccination record made according to UCCIS policy in the right medical form.
This might be helpful:
Wow, super!!!!!!! Thanks!

Try to ask for the copy of DS- 3025 from your (useless) physician that did the K-1 med , it was his basic job to give you a copy of this document. Maybe it will be possible to obtain by email or something, rare but might happen. If no, you have to find an authorized physician and pay him to complete your I-693 :/
Marcelina, so the only thing we need to get is the vaccines approval form the doctor here. We don't need another envelope or medical results besides the vaccines? Thanks again. <3

OMG we did ask many times at the clinic in Algeria. They kept saying that they never have seen the DS-3025 form before. I guess is just luck when they give it.
Thank you!

May I ask what could I use as my 2nd identity document?
I found this link but it's not quite clear to me https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/ss5doc.htm
I imagine my birth certificate or driver's lincese from my country could work, but do I have to get certified translations?
Thank you!
AnaidAaron, I would think that using the passport is enough because it has the identification page and the K1 visa.
