My fiance is coming here with me🤗😉😊 last week of this month. Hoping she will receive a letter from nvc before she come.

The NVC does not always send a letter. If you want the NVC number the best way is to call.
They also answer the e-mail inquiry, but there is a 2-5 day delay in getting a reply.

do i need to wait for NVC # before i file ds160? what is the earliest point we can make appointments?

You can start filling out the DS-160 now. The DS-160 only asked for your USCIS number.  Personally I waited until receiving NVC number before I submitted it, but I don't know if it is necessary to wait. Anyways, if you write down your DS-160 number and save the application, you will be able to access your application again later. I personally found this convenient as it allows you to double check the information better.
I believe that in the Philippines you can pay the interview fee and book the appointment once you have the NVC number. But you should double check that with somebody from the Philippines.

  2. The NVC says a lot of strange things. They told me that my fiance would be reciving a letter with information about the NVC fee payment (there is not such thing for a K1 visa) and information about documents we would need to submit to the NVC. The CEAC tracker made similar claims. Does statements were not factual for a K1 Visa. Sounds like you have the same situation, were they have accidentally given you info about a different visa type.
Just go to your appointment at the interview, and bring the appointment confirmation.

The Netherlands, We have been together in person for 7 months in total, 3 months last year 4 months this year, I also flew to her country and visited her family for two weeks with her.

I would not worry to much as your income level should be fine for the 100% poverty line mark :)

I have also read in reviews about the Swedish embassy(all Scandinavian have to go to Sweden for the interview <_<), that applicants have been able to bring bank statements, and documentation proving that they as the 'beneficiary' have stocks and assets. In have also read that it is very common at the Swedish embassy to be asked about the applicants educational level and work history/ planes for a carer in the US.

What I am trying to say is that my imprecation is that sometimes (probably mostly in western European countries) applicants own current financial situation, and carer potential is considered (if you get the correct embassy officer).
So if you want to lessen your anxiety, you should ask your fiance to prepare some document about his/her own financial/educations/career.

    Hi.

My noa2 approval date is 18th October. I’m facing the same problem. Three weeks are up and no case number as yet. Calling the NVC everyday like a maniac. They never say anything on the phone? :( this is so bad and frustrating. Is it possible USCIS has really not sent our cases to them :( ?

I have read on VJ before that one can call the USCIS and ask them when they send out the application. That way one can know for sure that the application has been send.

I have also read somewhere that the average wait for the NVC to receive the application is 2-4 weeks. So there is no need to panic yet.

Don't get me wrong I am also sick of waiting, and was hoping that the application would have made it to the embassy already. But I am optimistic that the NVC will be working on our cases this coming week, as they have finally started working on cases from our NOA2 dates.

  5. I had my medical this week and just got the e-mail from the clinic that all my test are good, and they send me a copy of the DS-3025.
But it looks like the clinic is using an old version of the DS-3025. The from says in the top corner that it expired 9-30-2017.
Does anyone know if it will be problematic that they used the old DS-3025?
Does anyone know what the current expiration date should be?

Hello Guys, we got approved on October 20, it's about 21days today and NVC still hasn't recieved case as at Yesterday when I called...anyone from October 20 or or thereabout that has recieved NVC case number? And the time taken to get the NVC number is it dependent on the country where the case will be recieved,?? Anyone with an idea please....it's just getting too long winded, everything...

I agree, our NOA 2 was October 19th and the NVC just keep saying that they have not received our case yet.
From looking at other peoples timelines on VJ, it looks like there are only 3 people that got there NOA 2 between October 16-20th that have been tolled there case has been received at the NVC, and all there cases were received within the last few days. I know it is annoying to wait. But we are not alone, and hopefully we will hear relay soon, as they are handling cases with our NOA 2 dates.

It does not look like nationality matters when receiving the NVC number. But it looks like embassy country matters when it comes to how fast the embassy tells you they have received your application.

    Wow, that is amazing!!

But, but, you sent it via priority mail meaning USCIS should have gotten it on the 11th or 12. that means it took them 7-8 days to issue the NOA2

lol, i think so much because I sent in my RFE last week and am calculating how much longer I must wait :jest:

I was the same way, looking at other peoples timelines trying to figure out how long it would take. It looks to me like it various some, probably due to who is handling your application, and what the reason for the RFE is.

I don't know exactly when they received it, since we did not get tracking on the mail. We called on the 13th and they tolled us, they had no updates for us. But I am sure they received it a while before the 17th, and that is just took somebody a while to update the online tracker.
All in all the VJ estimate of 24 extra days was quite accurate as it took 20 extra days.

:wow:Getting an NOA2 two days after USCIS receipt of "Request For Extra-waiting" is quite miraculous, if not, atypical.

From looking at other peoples timelines it looks like it varies a lot. I was glad it only took 2 days, as I feel we waited longer than most people to get a update that the USCIS had received our application.

Wow a missed box. I forgot to print name on g 325a but signed it. So we shall see. At least i know it be a quick fix.

Did you send the old or new I-129f, because if you send the new one they don't need your 325a at all, so probably no RFE then.
And anyways, your name is on the top of the 325a, so they might not care if you forgot to print it on the bottom.

Don't worry to much about it, an RFE is not the end of the world, and also something you can't do anything about at this stage.

  8. I agree with the picture recommendations, don't send to many, but remember descriptions of who is in the pictures, date, and location.
I would also include more e-mails, and Skype records. In my e-mail i did a name search of my fiances name, and a list of all e-mails we have send to each other came up. I think this can be useful at least for longer relationships, as you can provide more of a overview of communication this way.
Skype records (at least on my account) are not permanent, so if you have not been keeping screen shots already, you will only have a two month record on there, and I would recommend sending some screen shots of that record.

Hi all! Long time lurker, first time poster! I received my RFE last week and needed your help

It asks for me to provide the following:

    • circumstances of the meeting - Submit information regarding the circumstances under which you and beneficiary met to establish the relationship
    • personal meeting evidence - this could be:
      • a written statement from you or the beneficiary stating that you have met in person and containing details of the date and circumstances of the meeting
      • passport pages with ID page and admission stamps
      • photographs of you and beneficiary together

the thing is, i sent these things to USCIS which is odd, but want to ask for clarification from you all - especially who have had their NOA2 approved and have done it correctly already.

    1. Can anybody who has had their NOA2 approved please and kindly send me their circumstances of meeting statement?
    2. How is this different from the circumstances of meeting? - "a written statement from you or the beneficiary stating that you have met in person and containing details of the date and circumstances of the meeting""
    3. How do you submit photos? In my initial application, I submitted 2 printed pictures on regular printed paper with color ink, each in which my fiancee and I were together.
      • Are they supposed to be in a different, special format - printed professionally like our ID photos?
      • What if there are other people in the photo? What labels should we put, if any?

I think this YouTube video answers all your questions.
You are not the only person how has gotten an RFE for something you feel like you have already submitted.

Yes you will need the embassy case number at the medical. Some clinics won't ask for it when you schedule and some will but you will need it the day off your exam since that is their way of connecting it to your visa petition.

In DK they dont need it.

Thank you both for your input. I talked to the medical clinic in Norway today. And they said they don't need the embassy case number to do the medical in Norway :)

  11. Does anyone know if the NVC case number is needed during the medical exam? I am currently waiting to recive the case number from the NVC and just realized that the medical clinic in Norway does not ask for the case number when scheduling the medical exam. But I was wondering if  anyone knows if they will need the case number while filling out the paperwork that they will send to the embassy?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

  12. Does anyone know if the NVC case number/Stockholm embassy case number is needed during the medical exam? I am currently waiting to recive the case number from the NVC and just realized that the medical clinic in Norway does not ask for the case number when scheduling the medical exam. But I was wondering if  anyone knows if they will need the case number while filling out the paperwork that they will send to the embassy?

Wow! Do you know why it took USCIS 9 days (-Sundays) to receive the RFE? Did you send Express Mail or regular?

I don't think it took them 9 days to receive the RFE, I think it took 4-5 days in the mail, and than the it probably took some days for the letter to end up on the correct USCIS officers desk. And than it might have taken some more days for that USCIS officer to look at our case again.
We returned the RFE with Express Mail in the provided envelope. So our RFE process should have goon as quickly as it possibly could.

"When you call NVC right this info down

After the guy starts the pre-recorded message press 1, when he starts talk again press 7, and 5 with a pause each time to let him talk

otherwise you have to listen to his whole speech which is time consuming phone tree.

then you will be put on hold for zero to 30 minutes or more

Call 8am or 3-5 pm or 9-10pm EST  for shortest waits"

    Thank you :)

there are 3 expedited out of the 10 that were approved so far, the rest 7 that were approved were not expedited. I am convinced they just randomly pick files from a container/bucket. They must have containers assorted by months and just randomly pick a case file to work on.

the following were approved this month, out of the 7, 5 were approved yesterday.

                                                                     NOA1           NOA2

    WAC1790314234    790314234    5/1/2017      9/25/2017
    WAC1790314307    790314307    5/1/2017     9/25/2017
    WAC1790314392    790314392    5/1/2017     9/25/2017
    WAC1790314541    790314541    5/1/2017     9/25/2017
    WAC1790331442    790331442    5/16/2017   9/25/2017
    WAC1790333017    790333017    5/17/2017   9/21/2017
    WAC1790346347    790346347    5/30/2017   9/15/2017

I am sure that WAC1790314541 has a received date of May 1st! It is only a few nuumber  latter than my own case, and my received date is may 1st.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I am an american citizen who has lived in the Philippines for almost 10 years now (roughly). I have met my fiance (soon to be wife) and am going through the fiance visa forms right now. I have a few questions I'd like to ask those that already filed for it or possibly know the answer to one or more of my questions:

    1. How many pictures is enough? I have been with my fiance for over 9 years now. We have lived together for the past 3 years or so. That being said, I have a lot. How many do I send along with the form?
    2. One of the requirements was chat logs and emails etc. However, I don't have much of these since I have lived here and was with her since the very beginning of our relationship. Is that okay? It doesn't make sense for us to email each other or chat since I live with her. I mean, I don't think there is a better way to prove the relationship since our address on the form is the same and we have a TON of photos at different events, places etc.. with her family and mine and friends.
    3. When I send this to USCIS, what is the best way to package it? What I'm doing is I'm including a cover letter. In that cover letter, I itemized everything included in the plastic folder. Is there a specific way to send it? My folder has plastic sleeves and I plan on puting each form or requirement in one sleeve. One form (multiple pages) will be bunched in one plastic see through sleeve in the folder, pictures printed on paper in another, pictures printed on standard photo paper in another sleeve and so on.

Also, I have about 50 printed images in the standard photo paper and I printed about 30 images more on paper. All of which have names of people, locations, description and dates. I'd appreciate any advice since I'd like to make sure that I do this correctly and make it as easy as possible for the USCIS officer to review it. :)

    1. My fiance and I have been together for 7 years before filing for a K1. We deiced to include about 1 or 2 picture per year of being together, so that we could provide evidence for the whole length of our relationship. For the last year of our relationship we included about 8 pictures. We varied this pictures between picture of the two of us, and pictures together with both mine and his family and friends. We also included a picture of the engagement ring.

    2. Since the two of you have been living together I would also consider including evidence of this, such as billing, apartment contracts or mail that show both of your names on them and your address. This is definitely not a K1 requirement, but it is still great supplementary evidence since you don't have chat logs.

    3. When it comes to the packaging of the I-129F I think it does not really matter how you package it. From what I have heard the USCIS will take all your papers out of the packaging anyways and fill it in the one way. I have hear though that one should not hole punch any of the papers one submites. Don't know if that is true or not, but better to me safe than sorry.
