Travel ban removed like 5 days after we got rejected because of it! We’ve contacted a lawyer and our congressman and hope to get the decision reversed. The fight continues on!!

We got rejected!
 
I’m so pissed... everything was good according to the CO but the said because of the travel ban they are rejecting it! Although its in effect it clearly states you can ovverride at your discretion.  So why say looks good then decline! 
 
UGH.
I tried going in to see if I can talk to someone even to get “closure” (Im the petitioner) and they wouldn’t even let me in the Embassy as a US citizen!!
 
The stupid gatekeeper was a foreigner.. or definitely not born/raised in the US (by her so obvious accent)...UGH SO PISSED 😡 It felt totally like racism... I even asked to talk to an “American” since she clearly had an accent and she said no sorry too bad.
 
Who treats their own citizens like that, not rven allowing them into their own embassy??
 
anyways... We are trying to figure out next steps....

Got great news today!!! Case was sent to the embassy yesterday!!! Yay!!!

just about one month left until our interview IM SO EXCITED...OMG!!

Woohoo that is wonderful.  Hope you guys have been doing well.
 
Doing fine here. Moved to the states October 28th and got married December 1st. Love life so far but Christmas has been hard. I broke down yesterday as I really miss my family. I knew the holidays would be hard. We sent off our AOS before Christmas and still waiting to hear about the NOA1 for it. Yay waiting again. Decided today that I NEED to volunteer somewhere or I am going to lose it so I am dropping off a volunteer application to my local library to volunteer as a clerk for the Used Book Store or as a scanner for putting good Used books on Amazon. Their volunteer app is very much like a job app it asks for the last two jobs and personal references. So they may look at mine and go hahahaha and throw it out.  I am hoping though that my last job being a librarian will help them pick me to volunteer. I plan on applying for jobs there when I get my EAD.

Yay, got my social security card in the mail today! Applied last Wednesday, so took them exactly a week.

I think the travel ban for Iran makes complete sense. If you look at the records you see that untill recently and right before the ban goes into effect, lots and lots of Iranians have come to the US to attempt terrorist attacks.. Thousands and millions of americans have been victims of the Iranian people. Even the white guy in Vegas who shot lots of innocent people was an Iranian! But as you all know, the Saudi's and pakistanis and few others have always sacrificed their lives to protect americans since the beginning of time... Just cut the ####### people... We all know that the reasoning behind this stupid ban is some BS. Those who talk about Iranians should travel more and learn more about other nations. It is really embarrassing nowadays to be American. I really feel ashamed and I am seriously thinking about leaving this country. I'm not gonna be a part of this racism anymore.

I was only talking about those uneducated, ignorant and non worthy people who don't even recognize that trump is the same as the ISIS leader, only in a suit with a tie..
