Hang in there everyone! Our time is coming, I just know it! And years from now, we'll look back on this and...ok, probably, honestly, drink to dull the flashbacks or something...but still. It'll be over eventually, and we can all safely say if anyone ever doubts our relationships with our non-US loves, they can go shove it, cause how long are they willing to wait for bureaucracy to get to them, hmmm? At least, that's what I tell my mom when she thought Pri and I were rushing into things, and I could point out I'm at 183 days of waiting already, with months left to go, from engagement to 'I do'...you met, dated, and married your husband in that amount of time, and we've known each other for nearly 3 years and dated for about half that.

Anyway! For those who like doggos, I share with you something I hope will lighten your spirits and give you a laugh in these long, often cold (I can't feel my toes, guys) winter days while we wait for USCIS. My older mastiff turned 7 today and had to also go to the vet. One of the girls in the office went and got him a plain cheeseburger while we were in the waiting room, and he only waited long enough to get into the car before he was given his birthdayburger....that is a happy face XD Hopefully we'll all get to make equally ridiculous happy faces soon (maybe without the teeth and drool though lol)

Day 175 here, and laughing at my own naivete back when I joined this site in June and thought 'golly, my timeline says NOA2 around 10/1! Maybe I can spend the first Christmas with my wife this year! As heartbreaking as it is to still be separated by thousands of miles of ocean and 24 hours of flight I suppose it's a blessing in disguise since the company I drive for lost a bunch of contracts (and have shown no interest in hunting up more in the past three months since the news came down the line that so many of us were losing our steady jobs and getting shunted back on the very slim pickings of STAT runs... every dang day, corporate says 'you've got a route coming, the guy that runs the company with your route is in Europe, he'll back back this month, don't worry. That's been the excuse for 3 months, anyone over in Europe, do you mind kicking this guy out and sending him home?!  XD) so I've been under-employed. I've got an interview today with the USPS that would solve the sponsor earning minimums problem (mom and a good (great) friend have both said that they'd co-sponsor if I need it, but even so, I still desperately need a better job all of the sudden), and I'm hoping that it all works out, because I want my fiancee to be my wife so so badly!

On another bright side, I suppose it means at this point, I will definitely have her surprise wedding shawl all knit up and blocked by the time she gets here!

I'm just hoping at this point that she'll be here before my birthday in May! XD Looking at past timelines for NZ K-1 Visas, the embassy is fairly quick over there, but she's got to fly or drive up to Christchurch from Dunedin to do her physical, and even after she gets approved, we've got to arrange transpo for her cat, and the pet transport company wants a minimum of 21 days notice so they can drop off the crate for kitty to get used to and TBH we will have to wait a little bit for the obscene ticket costs to come down from the holiday gouge. So if we get NOA2 in Jan, Embassy will hopefully have the info in Feb, she'll get to Interview by March, and be here by April ::ugly sobbing:: Gotta keep on the positives dangit! We'll be wives as soon as is humanly possible, and till then, we vidchat three or four times a week and instagram message every waking moment daily, and I will get to pick her up at the end of the winter in Chicago and I will make a stupid massive scene cause I will absolutely refuse to let her go again, cause I probably won't be able to believe she's really really here again, and that this time I won't have to take her back to the airport in just a few short weeks.

So! What's everyone else's positives for the day?

Those processing times you're talking about of March 1st were what was reported as of July 31st, (and I've been told that they report on the oldest case they're touching at the time of the report, but who can be sure about that?) they never update to the current date on those It very much looks like they're going to be starting on May petitions this week (I'm a June filer, so I'm sure hoping they start on y'all this week! XD) but in all seriousness there have already been a few May NOA2s, and they're processing end of April/beginning of May it looks like, according to Igor's list I hope you get your NOA2 very soon so he can see his baby girl, and the woman he loves, ASAP!

Time to start doing your homework!  It will make everything much easier later.  Look at all the requirements that need to be done prior to the interview.  Having the interview scheduled a month or two in advance will give you time to get everything else together.  DS-160, medical, police clearances, etc...
