Actually, that might be better for me. I really hope to be surprised some day with an interview letter in my mailbox 

So a tiny update.
After all the RFE stuff I got an e-mail a couple of hours ago saying that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.... So no more RFE for me
Interestingly the dhs.gov website didn't update only the egov (old website), plus the e-mail.... anyway
 
Unfortunately I have no clue how fast the Saint Louis, MO office works... Tried to google it but there is not a lot of people on this forum who had their interview in Saint Louis....
 
 
 
 

Just got a status update. They received my biometrics. But no word on ready to schedule interview. They’re still reviewing our case. Exhausting. But glad they’re updating 😃

NOA for 2 of them ( I-485 and I-765 accepted, I-139 rejected with no reason) August 1st
Biometrics appointment  - August 20
 
So I was rejected for Advance Parole with no reason. I got a rejection notice saying that the payment was incomplete or has not been provided. Funny, cuz we all know that for EAD an AP we need no additional payment if we submit the applications with I-485. I called and they said there must have been a mistake and I need to resubmit the application with the copy of  I-485 notice of action.
Anyway, I am happy that I have at lease some movement in my case. Wish you all good luck.

It's part of the process. And it sucks

But good news is that the GC trumps AP so since that's being processed accordingly, everything else shall fall into place.

I would send it again with the I-485 NOA and an explanation letter that the fee is waived.

It took us about 3 weeks for the case to reach the embassy. You can start preparing all the docs you will need till it gets to the embassy. But yes. You can wait till the embassy sends you the invitation. After you get the invitation, you can schedule your medical examination and fill the DS-160 form. After filling the form you must pay the fee and schedule your interview date.

They don't send you the interview date, your need to schedule it online. Call the embassy and ask them when you'll get your invitation for the interview.

We made several inquiries and the answer was the security check! But I have no idea why they needed a year and a half for the security check to be cleared

My interview was Feb 14th, but my medical results hadn't arrived yet so there was a bit of a delay. Almost 2 weeks exactly from my interview date
