Checked USPS informed delivery email earlier last month and received a Case Transfer Notice to National Benefits Center which explicitly noted "In order to speed up your processing"...and I was like meh...whats going to get sped up in this environment...
To my astonishment, I checked my mailbox this evening to unveil a letter from USCIS which had my I-751 Final Approval Notice!!
Super excited and relieved! Waiting on the Permanent Card to come through...

Lupigirl got a reaction from Gyyomme in My experience so far
I was so excited to finally get my EAD on Saturday! But then reality hit; the realization that just because I legally "can" work, I'm not automatically deemed employable by those hiring.
I'm facing a few challenges. Before moving here, I was self employed for over 10 years. Which means I have no recent references and am totally out of touch with the whole resume/interview scene. I soon discovered that many, many companies only accept online applications. My resume is skimpy and my education consists of High School, so I do much better when I can use my friendly smile to get me in the door.
Despite that, I have already gotten one job offer and an interview for a job I really want next week. How? By using my contacts. As soon as I knew I could work, I let everybody know; friends, people I see at the gym, even my landlord. It's amazing how many people know of someone hiring, and employers will put you at the top of their list if someone they know vouches for you. That job offer? I name-dropped my husband's step-sister's boyfriend, who manages at another location. And the interview I'm so excited about? A girl I met at the gym told me to email her my resume. I did that, along with a cover letter explaining why I would LOVE to work there and why I'd make a great fit. She got me an interview with her manager. I used my immigrant status to my advantage, citing my experience with a variety of cultures and empathy for individuals as a strong customer-service tool.
So my advice to all of my fellow immigrants waiting on your EAD's: Get out and meet people. Talk to your neighbors, join a gym, make small talk with the people you see semi-regularly. Be kind and helpful and smile a lot. Your hairdresser, mailman or apartment manager might just be the connection you need to get the job you want, when you can finally apply for it!

You can call USCIS and ask to speak to a tier 2 officer and they can tell you the date and time of your interview. That’s what I did, while I was waiting for the letter.

In my book, losers are the ones who think they are in a position to judge complete strangers.

I just got an email from USCIS stating that our interview has been scheduled! After almost 17 months, I was really wondering if it was ever going to happen. Now to schedule another Medical...Yes, I was really that naïve at the beginning of this process thinking there was no way my medical would expire.

We just got an update with uscis. The interview has been scheduled.
I know that they dont tell us the date of the interview but I know, we will receive an interview notice in the mail soon.
Two weeks ago I asked the congressman to expedite i -131 and wrote a long letter that my wife is sick and needs to go to Turkey for treatment. They denied and asked for evidence. SInce she feels better I did not go forward.
Two weeks later, received the interview notice. I guess this has kicked something. Just want to let you know.

The journey is finally over, until another 2 years when we embark on the ROC journey. We got our (both, child and mother) green cards approval on the 23rd Aug update online, got the welcome to America letters in the mail, card in production and card has been mailed update on the USCIS case status online.
Hoping to receive our cards in the mail soon💃
Good luck to everyone still waiting (especially to my fellow Texans, its taking forever to have interviews scheduled), may it end in joy for you all.

Yes, and from what countries? Because I've purchased one way tickets to the U.S. from Canada numerous times.

Just an update on us -
We got our actual AP, whew! Just 20 days before we leave. Not as close as some but enough to make us worried.
Anyone have experience with changing addresses? Can you do it all online? Turns out we'll be moving next month now as well. Not that we expect any updates but just in case.

Yes, of course. But where I live, it seems news items about school shootings are immediately followed by “Don’t take our guns!” And “Gun control won’t make a difference” refrains.
Everything ends up being political.
And regarding Elizabeth Warren; she was asked to react to Mike Pence wanting stricter immigration laws. Her reply was that the laws needed to focus on those who truly presented a threat.

Did anyone actually watch the interview? She was asked a question about immigration laws and she answered it.
It’s actually starting to anger me, the way victims are exploited to push political agendas.

Good thing they have immigrants to support them.
