Hi guys,
Does anyone have experience with picking up their visa from DHL in Jamaica?
I selected the option that says 'Pick up at head office' when I was signing up.
I did my interview on August 15. My case showed approved on August 17.
The consular indicated to me that my visa would be ready for pickup within a week. It's now one week but I Haven't heard from DHL.
I called DHL this morning and spoke with a customer care agent, who said if I haven't received an e-mail from them, then they do not have it.
BUT, when i talked to other people, they said they did not wait on a tracking number or email from DHL, they just waited a week and went to the office for their visa, and they received it.
I also read online where getting a tracking number from DHL could take up to 4weeks. I cannot wait a whole month to get my visa, especially given that my visa has already been issued by the embassy. Please help if you can.
I tried tracking my passport on the ustraveldocs site, but the the link for Jamaica does not work.
Any advice is appreciated.
Did you registered online for DHL pick up at the head office? If you did log into the account and you will see the waybill tracking if DHL already picked up the visa from the embassy
I was able to give my fiancé the waybill tracking number and he received his visa yesterday. He was there before and they told him it wasn't there but it was. he went back and gave them the waybill and they found it and gave it to him

Hi All,
I have been silent for a while but I wanted to let you know that the interview went well although it wasnt much of an interview. The consular that interviewed us said our interview will go down on record as the fastest interview she has ever conducted.
She asked us ony 2 questions.
1st question she asked my fiance was - what kind of work he does.
2nd question was if he had kids. He said yes. I jumped in and said we have 2 together and told her their ages. She then took off her eyeglasses, closed the file and said "this interview is over. If you both have kids together there is nothing else to say to convince me about your relationship." She said the visa will be ready by the end of the week.
I realize there are a few still waiting on NOA2. All I can say is don't loose hope. I know it must be difficult but hold on. It may last long but not forever.

Hi everyone! So I had my interview at the Montreal embassy yesterday and they told me I was approved! Yay! I'm just wondering how long does it actually take to receive the visa in the mail? They told me two weeks, is this approximately the right time frame?
Congrats! Two weeks sounds just about right. From what I've read on other forums, most embassies usually issue in two weeks

Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?
what I am gonna answer for this question
thanks for help
Do you have documentation of your vaccination records? Did you receive the vaccines that are required ie rubella, mumps, measles etc..... if so, I would answer yes.
I think they will let you know what you are missing, if any, at the medical anyway.

Sorry I have been absent so long. I know everyone's experiences are different.
We arrived at the Embassy at 9;00 for a 10:05 appointment. Waited outside for about 20 minutes until we are allowed to enter through security.
After we pass 2 security check points, we are instructed to have a seat. Maybe 30 minutes, we are called to the interview called. As the man is asking for the documents requested in the Packet 3, he is casually talking to us. After he finishes entering in the computer, we are instructed to have a seat. After sitting, I asked Wendy if she realizes that was the first interview. She couldn't believe was so easy. She was completely unaware. He asked for no further documentation from us.
20 minutes later we are called to the 2nd interview. He reviewed our file. I asked for interview in English. He said no. If he had any questions for me, he would ask in English. Asked Wendy about her occupation, family in USA, where we will live and how she learned English. Then handed her a blue slip telling her how to pickup her Visa. Everything in Spanish. She turned to me crying. I asked what??? She says he says congratulations. 😍 As we walked past others waiting for their interview, everyone began congratulating us.
Never even opened the folder o had with documents.
We we will be traveling home next week together. We are grateful to VJ and our fellow members as we help each other through this stressful process. For those still waiting. Patience is difficult but necessary. Have faith in your relationship and your fellow citizens who are serving in the immigration process.
Best Wishes to all
Wayne y Wendy
Congrats to you and Wendy!!

Yes, I was one of the lucky people that got the email notification and the website was updated when my case was approved. I do have them printed out. And also the website has our case now listed as 'ready". And I printed that too
Okay good. You have something if they ask for documentation.

Well, then I'd be screwed. They already said they won't mail anything else. And that is rediculous, and I'd look into the legalities of it.
The Mexican forum here is pathetic. Literally 3 people have advice that have already gone through it. But of all people, the Consulate in Juarez is well aware of the shitty mail service in Mexico.
Did you receive anything via email?

Hey guys I have a question do yall think someone who has a travel visa for more than 20 years (renewed once) and travelled multiple times on it and never overstayed on any given trip has a safer chance doing the fiance visa process or to some extent is guaranteed an approval once the interview questions are answered 'correctly' ??
Hi - great question!
I would imagine that a visa would be guaranteed, if everything else is in order. My fiance is in a similar position. He has been travelling to the US for more that 24 years (before we met) mainly for business and never had to stay for more than a week - until he met me
I don't think you need to worry. If you/your fiance answer the questions OK (they mainly look for inconsistency) and you can prove that you have a bonafide relationship, then you'll be fine.
Good luck!

Thank you! Can't wait to start hearing more good news from all of you as well!
Yes, thanks. I hope so too. My fiancé 's interview is on 8/14. We could have scheduled for an earlier date but instead we scheduled for a date I will be off from my job so that I can attend the interview and of course also enjoy some beach time and a couple of magaritas!!😄
Good luck to all who have upcoming interviews as well. I hope everything goes smoothly and will be problem free.
Cheers!

We finally found the time tonight to sit and focus on the DS-160. Boy do they ask some weird questions. Is there a processing g time that you need to wait before making the payment? Then is there a wait to book the appointments???
It depends on the embassy handling your case. I would reach out to them to find out how to proceed.

This is the UK version for the US Embassy in London. You fill this in once you have completed the DS160 and scheduled your medical examination? Also, where would I find my Barcode # AA? It asks for this on the readiness form. @TriloByte
The Barcode #AA is found on the DS 160 confirmation page.

Just an update: after emailing them, they replied with the instructions. I guess I shouldn't have waited as long as I did!
Not your fault. Nothing is totally clear about the K1 visa process. We are all learning as the process moves along...

Hello,
On June 27th we received an email stating that our I-129f was transferred to the embassy in Rio. It also said it was "expedited":
But since then we haven't received an email to schedule the interview. Assuming they took 4th of July off, it's now been 8 business days. Does it seem appropriate to email the embassy at this point?
I don't think it would hurt if you send them an email..... I am not sure what the process is in Rio but for me, when my case showed "Ready" in CEAC I emailed the embassy and asked them to send me the k1 packet with the instructions and forms and they did.

I just spoke to a tier 2 officer about 5 mins ago. and she said we got approved today. IDK what to feel.
Congratulations!!! 😆😃😄☺
It's about time - what the hell took them so long??? Honestly, I believe some of these petitions get buried under the flood of cases they receive daily. They need to find a better way.
Hope those who are still waiting on NOA2 get some good news soon.

Best of luck, fellow July filers!!
Hi, I am a Feb. filer.
Processing time varies. However the average wait time is 3 months for NOA 2 approval.

I only ever called the 603-334-0700 and that is where I got my answer. That is the Immigrant line and that is what this is considered at this point.
Well apparently you can call both the immigrant line (603-334-0700 ) and the non immigrant line (603-334-0888) to find out if your case has been received.
I received my case number by calling the non immigrant number. I've never called the immigrant line.

or call really early, like at 7AM EST sharp as soon as they open. no wait times around that time.
I received my case # thru the non immigrant line. I press 1 for a rep and never waited longer than a few minutes in peak hours and none at all after 9pm est.

Are we filling out ds-160 or ds-260 because I noticed that ds-160 is listed under non immigrant?
Fill out 160. Ds 260 is for couples already married

Sure, here you go. It is the same site you scheduled the interview and paid for the visa.
