    Wow thats crazy fast!

From my experience NVC recieved my packet 2 weeks after my NOA2 and assigned a case number about a week after they recieved it.

Maybe those who received a case number almost immediately - it took a while for uscis to transfer the case to NVC.

It took 3 weeks for NVC  to receive my case and they assigned a case number the following day. Bringing it to the standard 3 weeks a person would wait from NOA2 to case # assigned.

Now, I am hoping it will take the standard 5 days or less to get to the embassy.

He needed to get two more shots.. he went to a clinic paid for one and got the next one free so when he went to the hospital in Kingston he only had to pay for his medical only.. you have any more shots to get like chicken pox get it from a doctor.. the certified hospital would be too much

Okay, I will let him know.

I know of packet 3 instructions but what's in packet 4?

They sent it pretty quick because when I checked to track the case it didn't say in transit I called them everyday and they said we just sent it off and the next day it said ready.. btw you don't have to wait for them to send you packet 3 & 4 do it online or if you are unsure go to a local consulate by you to fill it out

Okay thanks.  Did your fiance had to get any vaccines? Is it better to wait for the medical before getting any vaccines?

Just as a reminder. Vaccinations are not required for K 1-4 Visas. But are required for AOS. There are many discussion about vaccinations being done in the US for AOS. You need a (forgot the exact phrase,) USCIS Approved Doctor. Then getting the correct Vaccinations many have had problems. Plus the expense. My Fiance asked the Doctor in her country what vaccines were needed. She has NO vaccination records. The doctor told her to qualify for AOS she only need 3 vaccines.

Vaccinations are not required for k1 visas?? Is this new?

    Yeah, I'm still on 138.

    This is ridiculous!!!!

While I am grateful that I have received my NOA2 - took 99 days from NOA1 to be exact it is ridiculous that uscis has some folks waiting for over 120 days and nothing!!!

One would think that they all would be working on cases with a certain received date and after they have seen all those, they would move on to the next date so that some folks won't be left wondering is their file/ case got lost, is being ignored or accidentally ended up in the trash.

One thing is clear, uscis is not organized and nothing seem to be done in a systematic way. I was told by one of their rep that this is a first come first serve process. ......but clearly this is not the case.

To those who are still waiting on NOA 2 l feel your frustration too because it could have been me.

Hang tight, hopefully it won't be long.
