Jeilvi got a reaction from Highmystic in Medical Expires 3 Days Before Interview
How old was your medical when you filed AOS? Because from November 1 it’s new rules about I-693:
A completed Form I-693 submitted to USCIS before November 1, 2018 retains its evidentiary value to support a finding that an applicant is not inadmissible based on health-related grounds if it meets any of the following scenarios:

•The civil surgeon signs Form I-693 more than 60 days before the applicant files the underlying benefit application with USCIS, but the applicant submits Form I-693 to USCIS no more than 1 year after the civil surgeon signed Form I-693; and USCIS issues a decision on the underlying benefit application no more than 1 year after the date the applicant submitted Form I-693 to USCIS.
•The civil surgeon signs Form I-693 no more than 60 days before the applicant files the underlying benefit application with USCIS; and USCIS issues a decision on the underlying benefit application no more than 2 years after the date of the civil surgeon’s signature.
•The civil surgeon signs Form I-693, and the applicant submits Form I-693, after the applicant files the benefit application with USCIS; and USCIS issues a decision on the underlying benefit application no more than 2 years after the date of the civil surgeon’s signature.

You have to be 3 years permanent resident (have GC) to apply for citizenship, it’s nothing to do with how long you  married. But you will receive 10 GC because you are married more than 2 years. Good luck!

After 375 days (PD May 15th 2017) I received the email today to say that my interview has been scheduled. Here’s hoping the notice comes in the mail by the end of next week..

My case is at the Montgomery AL field office. Has anyone any advice on how long it takes to receive the notice?

Good Luck to all those waiting, it is a frustrating and sometimes depressing experience but all we can hope for is that these offices get faster at working on cases..

Posted this in the May filers section, re-posting here for us New Yorkers:

We finally got an interview date!  June 6, which will be one year and 5 days since we did biometrics, and we filed May 3 last year.  Our online status updates have been a bit crazy:

egov - may 9/17 - Fingerprint Fee received
myuscis - June 15/17 - interview ready to be scheduled
egov - April 30 - Employment based interview scheduled (what?? We are family based from K1 lol — I found out it’s a common error and just waited for the letter in the mail)

letter came in the the mail yesterday, correct interview scheduled for June 6.

good luck and god bless everyone, hope this helps someone

    Hello folks!

We finally completed our interview yesterday. The officer was pretty nice and asked us basic relationship questions (how we met, who proposed to whom, etc). At the end of the interview our officer stated that we were approved and that we should get the provisional G.C. in 7 to 10 business days.

I'm happy the process is almost over but won't celebrate until I have the card in hand.

As a side note, the online status has not changed from "interview scheduled".

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!

Can't believe I'm finally writing this, today my green card was approved!

Our appointment was at 7:15am at the San Bernardino Field Office CA, we arrived at 6:45 but were let in at around 7.
We went through security (just like at the airport) and then up to the second floor.
They called our name at 7:40, the officer was extremely nice and we followed her to her office. She made me take an oath (not my husband, the USC)
She took my fingerprints again and a picture. Then proceeded to check both our birth certificates, marriage certificate, my passport.
She asked all the yes/no questions from the I-485, verified our address, asked about any children, about whether I was part of any organization, criminal records.
She asked how we met, where our first date was, how my parents felt about the wedding
Then, she asked for evidence of bonafide marriage. We gave her copies of bank statements, health and life insurance, car title and car insurance. She was happy that we had copies of everything but said she could have taken photocopies if we hadn't. She also asked about a lease agreement but my husband owns our house so it was ok not to have that.
After this, she asked about pictures. She was happy with our court house pictures, even though we had a "real/proper" wedding after (we had prepared a whole album) and photocopied them.
Laughingly said she didn't need to separate us and then proceeded to tell us we had been approved. She printed a letter confirming this and that in 90 days tops we should receive the card but that it usually takes about 3 weeks.

It sounds like a lot but we were out of the office by 8am. We were her first interview and she commented that she was happy to start her day on a happy note.
As we got into the car I received an update saying that card was being produced.
