  1. Glad I found this thread! It seems like people are popping on every now and then.

I have felt super frustrated with the Seattle office and lack of data on where its at. I'm super glad I found others in the same boat! I'm an October filer, just sent in the EAD renewal last week (received it Dec 22). Its a bit frustrating that fees go up and the process gets slower.. but all we can do is wait!

Side note: it would be nice if this time waiting for the GC could go towards the time required to apply towards citizenship.. but thats wishful thinking :)

Your current income should be on the i134.

If u have the w2 and 1040 for the previous year as well I'd advise you put it in the package as well. My fiancé switched jobs last year so the figures on the forms didn't match so they asked me about it so I explained.

So from my experience I will advise anyone to avoid the question and just have the documentation.

    Good luck!!!

    Perfect! Thank you heaps!!

Does foreign income count? Did you check into that? If not, you'll need to get a co sponsor.

Also, are you sending in proof you have ties to an address in the US, or have made steps already to move back. I too am a petitioner living outside the US, and I know I have to prove domicile.

I'm only in Australia on a working holiday visa so I am cannot stay past September and I have an employment contract/flight to return.

as for taxes, since I am not permanently staying in Australia nor will I be here for one full year, I was required to pay taxes on my foreign income.  If im requires to pay taxes, it should count towards my income. Seems silly that it wouldn't

    Hi all!

i have my visa interview on TUESDAY!! So naturally I'm starting to over think every little detail.

For my income on my I-134f, what income should I list? The amount I'm currently making OR the amount on my last years tax return?

On my last years tax return, I made 23k after taxes (I was a student for half the year), however, I am currently working in Australia making 70k AUD (50k usd) and amount to move back to the USA and start with a firm making 50k USD.

Any insight on which income (current or last year) I should state?

I should edit - It's my partners interview, not mine, on Tuesday :) i am not the beneficiary.

  6. Hi all

My partner and I received an email from US Travel Docs last week and immediately paid out MRV fee. After, we responded back with the receipt number, as requested.

It's been a week now and we still haven't heard from the Consulate about our interview date. How long does it usually take for your interview to be scheduled?

    Hi everybody,

I am a little concerned and not sure about what to do.

    Our NOA1 is 02/08/2017 and

    our NOA2 is 05/25/2017

Since then we have not heard anything from NVC. My fiancé tried to call them several times but didn't get through. Also he sent an email last Monday but no answer yet.

It is over 4 weeks now since USCIS approval.

What are your thoughts on this?

    Love

    Silvia

We called around 8pm standard eastern time and got through within 10min each call. Try calling at non peak times and you may have better luck. Also, make sure you are calling the non immigrant line.

Thanks. So in other words, if they tell me it's not received, it might be untrue and it's possible that my fiancee might get a letter in the mail from the embassy while we think we are still waiting on NVC?

Yes that's correct, just depends on who you speak with!

Im unsure about the letter in the mail. I'm temporarily living in Australia and we have yet to receive any mail from the embassy

Quick question. What is the NVC phone number that people here have had success with (the phone agent saying received)?

603 334-0888 - They told us it has been received, but no case number assigned yet. Ours is going through the electronic process. If you come through to a girl named Amy, she must not have a clue about the electronic system because she always says it hasn't been received yet... any other agent says it was received on 9 June :) still waiting for the case number...

Soooo just an update from my post yesterday.   I called back today to see if they had received my packet yet AND not only had they received it, it was sent out to the Sydney embassy TODAY!  I told her I had called yesterday and was told they had not received it yet, and it could take up to six weeks.  She said, "not everybody knows the new system yet".  So this validates the reply comment in my post yesterday and a note to those of you calling in to see if they have received your approved I-129f, make sure the person who answers is checking the NEW system for your status.

Will you let me know what happens next/when your interview date is? :) we are (hopefully) just a few days behind you. The NVC said our case number should be assigned by the end of the week!

my partner and I are super curious how long the interview wait time is

i guess i depends on whether your embassy is capable of handling electronic process. our case was approved may 30 too, got noa2 snail mail on june 3. nvc received it on june 12 and we got our case number on june 14. our case is going to the Abu Dhabi embassy.

Was yours electronic as well? It doesn't make much sense to go to electronic is the USCIS is still paper based...

  12. Hi all,

Just an update in our status and share some knowledge!

We received our NOA2 on 2 June and it was approved 30 May. The NVC received our case on 9 June but had yet to be assigned a case number. They stated that we should be an assigned a case number by the end of the week.

I was a bit confused as I thought if it was received, it would get a case number the same day. Apparently it's because our case is being put through the new electronic process.

I guess the positive of this is that when our case number is assigned and sent off the embassy, it will be faster than snail mail!

Hi everyone, i have a couple of questions hoping to get answers.

    1) For evidence of communication I printed out our Facebook chat but me and my fiancée have different names on Facebook than our legal names. But I made an attachement where I explained that in detail

    2) Our conversation is in French so I also submited a translation of every single one.

So can these 2 delay the process? Or has anybody in this forum had the same experience?

I have 121 days and counting!

    Thank you

I have a different surname on Facebook and I didn't include any explanation. I just included screenshots of photos with comments, the date, and etc :) shouldn't be an issue!
