  1. I called NVC yesterday. 10-4-17 and was told our case was received that day but not yet assigned a case number. I called back after work tonight, 10-5-17 and was told we have a case number but he could not give me any details. Long story short, the USCIS entered my last name as only "V".  #######. The NVC officer i spoke to was super helpful and pulled some strings to give me the case number and invoice number.

    Kudo's to the NVC

  2. After a very long 153 days, I checked the USCIS website today and was so happy to see "Approved" !!! About an hour later my case tracker app had a red notice on it. Opened the app and watched the confetti fly !!!

    It's definitely been a journey.

    Thanks for all the help.

Can only pray for the nest steps to flow smoothly

Thank you for the information. I called and let it cycle through all the options. Finally talked to a person in spanish. Asked for english. Went through the basic info. Asked for a tier 2. Waited for only 1 minute and was transferred. I asled if our case has been assigned to an agent. Answer was yes. Asked if there are any RFE's. Answer was no. Asked if she could tell me when the case may be adjucated. Answer was....."we are currently working on February cases and my case is stlll on the timeframe. I said i know there have  been many cases approved with the same recieved date as mone and some with later dates.

So basically i heard the same ol song and dance BS.

I do have a referral number and she assured me i will hear something on that by 9-15.

    Still very frustrated.

    Lucky I live in Hawaii.

Ok. 153 days and still nothing. Our case is very straight forward. I see all the NOA 2's with dates after ours.

If we accept your case, you will receive a receipt notice.  If we reject your case, we will send you an explanation with instructions.

So my fiancé just got off the phone with a Tier 2. He asked all the questions, have our case been assigned to officer, are there any notes, have they done name check etc.. basically the lady (who btw was really helpful) said she could not see this info however she said that she would send an enquiry through to the CSC and that they need to give us an update within 15 days. Have anyone else heard of them doing this?

Truth be told, we never called, but I think this might be useful.

Also I think they say if you don't select any option, someone will get the call.

Hope anyone else that has successfully called recently can give you any more advice.

    Good luck!
