Hi guys, Feb 2019 AOS filer.....

I mailed my forms I-864 (affidavit of support) , I-485 (adjustment status), I-765 (employment authorization) and I-131 (travel document) on Feb 16, 2019 along with G-1145 through the USPS and tracked it. It arrived on Feb 19, 2019 but haven't heard anything yet. Not even our check has been cashed. Anyone else with this problem this month?? 😟

I have the same problem as you do. Did you do via USPS or FEDex?

  2. Hi all VJ'ers! I am needing your help again here. I am on the process of filling out the I-485, I-765 and I-131 for my children who are all minors. Just having a dilemma with regards to the Applicant's Signature part. My question are:

    1. Should I just sign the applicant's signature part and print name and put mother next to it.

    2. Should I still fill out the preparer's Part or just leave it blank.

Would really Appreciate your answers on this one. Thank you all. :)

  3. Hi VJ friends. I just wanted to know if my kids ages 11, 9 and 8 could apply for their social security number even with an expired I-94. We don't apply for the AOS yet since we are still in the process of saving for the AOS fees. Since it will be a hefty amount for the 4 of us. My question is, will it be possible to apply for their social security even with an expired I-94 on their passport? I really appreciate your answer guys. Thank you in advance.

Hi guys,  I'm totally freaking out right now. My US Embassy Manila interview will be in 8 hours. I just checked the fedex package that my Fiance sent to me, but i realized he forgot to send me the original form I-134 with his wet signature :/ I heard and read that the US Embassy Manila consuls usually don't ask for it. Could anyone help me? I mean who among you guys were already done with the interview (at US Embassy Manila) and weren't asked about the form I-134 or Affidavit of Support?

Dont freak out.. I just had my interview 2 weeks ago and the consul didn't ask the I134 form.. and in the event that they will ask about it, guess they will give you time to submit the said form..

Goodluck and for sure you will do great.. 😊

Hello, I got my interview yesterday and I had problem the cenomar that I presented. My sister said she got my cenomar from psa while I’m out overseas. But when I got to pre-screening they said the cenomar that I submitted is not security papaws from PSA. So I was shock bcuz they want me to go in PSA Pasay to pass the letter for re-verification but I didn’t submit cuz I want to know first about what really problem on my cenomar. So I want to get advice what I need to do about it. And I read some reviews that they have marriages indicated to thier cenomar that they never contracted marriages and they don’t know that guy in their cenomar. Thanks I will appreciate your advice.

Do you have the receipt attached to your cenomar?

Cause that is also one verification that you got your cenomar from PSA. Any papers issued by PSA are automatically in secpa.

You should've ask your sister where she gets your cenomar.

And if they ask you to go to psa pasay, it's fine, cause I just went there last week and they really have a counter for verification for US Embassy cases. And they are open on Saturday. So maybe you could go now and check about that.

Good luck and hope you're able to fix that soon. 😊

That’s awesome just in time to avoid Holy Week closure 👍🏻 Hppy to hear that and I will have let my fiancé know she will get a kick out of that. She is a bit nervous for the interview but we have been role playing to ensure her confidence

For sure she will do great. Consuls are just trying to see if the relationship is genuine. Just be honest and you'll be fine. Just had my Interview last Thursday together with my kids and it went well. The consul that interviewed us is so friendly. And now we are just waiting for our Visa. 😊

    Has anyone tried the https://secureforms.travel.state.gov/ask-nvc.php?

We received our NOA2 on February 23. Still no NVC Case Number :(

Yes, I tried that 3 days after we got our NOA2 then we got a response 2 weeks after with case number on it. I actually print the response and take that with me on my medical at SLEC, I followed @Greenbaum advice and it really works. This coming Thursday will be my interview date. Goodluck to me and my kids. 😊

Yeah, I think it is not important. The problem was that you couldn't finish the form without declaring that you got IMBRA and that you declare that you intend to marry within 90 days and it had only one check box for both of them.

On my case there is actually a link that the website provided for a copy of the pamphlet. Just download it and I click check and submit my ds160.

I think all you do is take the confirmation page for the right one to your interview. There’s no way to cancel old ones. Then they’ll use that number to pull it. When you sign up for ais, they ask for ds160 number so enter the right one.

I actually sign up for a new user at the site however after I fill up my informations it says that the information are exact informations with an existing account. Really don't know how to replace my old ds160 form with the new one.

  10. Good day! Need help again here.
I'm having a dilemma here with regards to my DS-160 form, I applied for a tourist visa last January 2017 and submitted a DS-160 for a tourist visa. Now, Im applying for a K1 visa and filled out a new DS-160 form and I already submitted it.
However, after scheduling an appointment it generates my old DS-160 form. So I cancelled it and now I'm trying to figure out how to change my Application ID to the new one since the system automatically generates my old Application ID.
Does anyone here knows how change my DS-160 Application ID to the new one?

    Badly needed help here.

    Thank you.

While you are getting the medical out of the way don't forget CFO. Better do it now and get out of the way.

Yes. I will be doing it too. Thank you. I am doing your advice about getting everything done even my case doesn't say ready yet. Will be paying my visa tomorrow. And schedule the appointment after. This process is getting faster now huh? Excited and nervous at the same time.

By the way just want to ask, what if the status of our case still at NVC by the time of our interview day? Will they let us in or deny us since our case has not arrived the embassy yet.

Not true. Hundreds have gone before you using this system. It's been proven over and over. My wife did the same and we were done in no time even when she had a RFE. I have been on VJ helping others navigate through USEM for five years. Trust me when I say you can do it at your pace. If you want to wait then you will add 1-2 months on your processing. Your choice. Good luck.

This is such a good news specially that we are dying to finish this process. We will follow your advice. Thank you so much again. So happy here. Please continue helping other peeps here. You're awesome! 😊

Your welcome. I skimmed over your earlier post and saw now that you have your NVC letter. That is a better document to use for SLEC then the print off of your confirmation page from scheduling your interview. BTW, anything you do on-line and get a confirmation page or email be sure to keep it for your records it may come in handy.

Just that, I can't schedule my interview yet since the status of my case still says at NVC and I've read you only can schedule your appointment once it says "ready". That's why I'm thinking about doing the medical ahead of time while waiting for our case to arrive in Manila, and just print that email to present at the medical.

Thanks for the advice, yeah, I will be printing and make copies to my online confirmations.

Your burning the candle while you do not have to wait. Once you have the MNL# then you can pay your interview fee at BPI, complete your DS160 and schedule your interview and complete your medical. Print off the confirmation page from your scheduling of the interview, it will have the interview date and MNL# contained therein which will satisfy SLEC. You are now in control how fast you want this to go. I'd recommend that you head on over to the Philippine Forum where you will get straight answers to your journey as each Embassy is different and requires different documents and procedures. Here is a couple of links that will make your journey go smoothly.

I was thinking to start a thread for Manila filers to help support each other with Philippines specific requirements and resources. I figure we can also see or provide more specific timeline processing for that embassy. Also if beneficiaries want to communicate locally to help each other? Not sure if that’s redundant given this thread but this thread varies from countries. Just wondering if Manila filers would find that useful. Let me know thanks

I agree with you @Mark_712. I really think it'll be useful since each embassy has different requirements. And as you've said it would provide us more specific timeline.

    exactly

there is no time frame to file adjustment of status, the only requirement is to marry within 90 days of arrival. If they are coming 2 months after that, then it is best to wait to file for everyone if you want the children's fee to be less. It is a lot of people

Will do that then. Thank you so much for responding @aleful appreciate you so much.. 😊

wait until they come to file adjustment of status and then your husband will have to file for everyone at the same time, separate packets,

does he have enough saved to file 4 i485 at the same time?

Thank you so much for your response @aleful 😊

So you mean after we got married I will not file for the AOS yet, instead, wait for my kids to arrived at the US before filing the AOS together. Is that right?

We are still working on our savings for the AOS stage for us. That's why we are trying to decide which option is best for us were we could save for the fees.

  18. Hi guys, Just need some advice on filing the AOS.

So, here's our scenario.. We just got our NOA2 recently and we are just waiting for our NVC number. And while we are researching about the whole k1 visa process we looked into the AOS stage and we found out that kids who are under 13 years old will only have to pay like $750 instead of the hefty $1140 but it says we need to file it together. (Im not sure if Im reading it correctly though). The thing is that, I will be going to the US first and the kids will just follow me after 2 months. We really need your help on what is the best way to file the AOS for all of us in order for us to save some money too cause we have 3 kids under k2. Thank you so much in advance for your help and advice.
