Well...first of all, I don‘t quite get your problem. maybe it‘s because I was never too stressed about leaving my family when living abroad, or it‘s maybe a different approach.
 
You are JUST leaving your family. you wanted this. You prepared for this. I know it‘s not easy but you also knew what‘s gonna come. Also, it‘s not that you can‘t travel back there ever...but for the first few months and in this time it‘s skype and facetime. Or have them visit, I saw you‘re from canada..should be fairly easy I guess
 
But what I don‘t understand is...why you want to go travel back and forth? don‘t u wanna adjust and feel comfortable in your new home?
If you‘r family is making you feel guilty, tell them it doesn‘t help. You‘re not doing anything wrong!

Just assuming you're talking about entering on a K-1 visa.. this is yet another thing that is negative about that particular visa. If it doesn't suit you, you should choose the CR-1 visa instead.
 
Many people just seem to pick the K-1 visa without doing proper research, and then they get upset and call it "unfair" when they later realize that it wasn't the best choice on their part. But instead of blaming themselves for not doing enough research and planning, they wrongfully blame the immigration system/process.

My friend, dont get me wrong, but before coming to US, I assume that your desire was to stay with your spouse right? So, now you have her to support you and help you going through this difficult moment that everyone goes through. There is no shortcuts no other paths.
 
Unless you have your advance perole before receiving the GC, you cant leave US. Get used to it, enjoy your new life.

We received the same letter the other day. It was the "thank you for signing up for informed delivery" one.

USCIS would NEVER write "or current resident" on a letter. Only advertisement and USPS do that.

It'll probably be a mail from USPS welcoming you to informed mail. I got one when we signed up.

Work permit is my ead so that one is updated I didnt get the letter yet.
I applied for ap late like 9 days ago so nothing is updated for that. Makes me wonder if that maybe pushed it through..we will see. I'm assuming I'll just get an ead card on it's own though.
And nothing for aos. I'll keep everyone in the loop when I get the letter and the card etc.

Oh wow just checked my case tracker two min ago and nothing but checked again and my ead is being produced !!!

EIGENTLICH brauchst du nur den Pass und die Bestaetigung des Interviewtermins. Sonst nix.

Ich hatte meinen Ordner dabei mit dem kompletten Kontext des ganzen K1, alles was ich bisher an Schriftverkehr hatte. Inklusive eines Ausdrucks meines DS-160.
Fuer den Peace Of Mind hab ich dann noch je einen Screenshot mit Datum von unserem 1x/Woche Facetime ausgedruckt, seit Absenden der Petition. Weil wir uns waehrend des Prozess nicht gesehen haben.

Gebraucht hab ich gar nix davon. Der Ordner lag sinnlos da. Aber fuer den Kopf wars gut.
So hab ich das auch von allen anderen gehoert. Keiner wollte was zusaetzliches sehen.

Every case different, I agree. This person did not take the long way with K1, is not from an ESTA country like me, filed after me... got EAD earlier... everything different and all alright.

But at least the field office could work by date... at least that's what I was hoping. 

Well, jump and carry on. New informed delivery tomorrow, and my case will maybe not used as a coaster for someones coffee mug anymore!  
At least I helped myself out with aggressive gardening and butchered a giant overgrown rose bush lol

I'm a grumps right now. Someone who filed a month after me and is in the same field office had the interview notice as email last night.

I wonder if they work upside down.

 

Just got an email saying EAD is approved and card is being produced.  Yay!  Nothing about AP and no status update messages about AP yet but I suspect it'll come soon.
