Thanks.  I wondered if it could be something simple like the full barcode not printing on the bottom of the page.  I wish they'd be a little more specific as I assume they know the specific reason why but they don't put that on the letter.

As the edition of the form has changed since the date I filed I think I'll have to now complete and submit the latest one online and see how that goes. I'll be sure to check the barcode.

Review your copies and see if the barcode is missing , in my friend case the form was properly filled but barcode missing, so printed and signed it again, scanned and submitted online and she was fine

  2. On june i sent an aos package for a friend we got a rfe like you, the letter say all pages were missing, and when i reviewed the form the only problem was that the bar code was missing on the bottom of the pages. I printed again the form with the bar code, my friend and her husband signed again, i scanned  it and uploaded to the uscis account online. My friend was good they approved her aos without interview in just tow month’s.

Hi all and Happy New Year,

So I just received an RFE for my AOS application.

I included to my package the copy of the marriage certificate (without seal) but I can't recall if I added a copy of the original certificate (yes I know I should have keep a record but for this I did not.

    So I have two questions

    1) They are giving me the option to upload the file online, can I go ahead and upload a picture of the original marriage certificate along with a letter explaining? do I need to mail that as well?

    2) is there any way to need the long form? I have requested that for my country and still waiting

    Thank you!

You can upload the evidence online, i did that for a friend and she was ok. We didnt mail it, that upload to the account online

Hi all, currently gathering the required documents for the NVC processing phase. My question is regarding the income requirements for the I-864 supporting documents. My current income is well above the minimum requirement listed. My last year (2021) tax return reported income is also over the minimum requirement. However, the previous 2 years before (2020 and 2019) are below the minimum requirement, will this in any way affect visa approval for my spouse? Also, on my last year tax return I had filed as single since my wife is not here and my employer suggested to leave it as single. Will this raise any red flags during the processing phase or later during the interview?

More important is current income and most recent tax year

I have lawyer who wont tell me anything until I pay him off but should I be concerned about this situation could my green card be approved and he has it on him this lawyer and waiting for me pay him so he can give it to me I need some answers

If you have the application number, you can check the status online and also call uscis and found out.

I had filed my application on 12/15/2022, but due to having two expired forms, the USCIS sent it back to me. Now I found out they released a new form I-485 with this question about Public charge.

It is my understanding that since I'm applying as a immediate relative (U.S. Citizen spouse), I would indeed be subject to the Public charge ruling. This is making me really scared since I have a joint sponsor.

My question would be how is this affecting applicants from inside the United states? Has anybody heard of marriage green card applicants (AOS)  being denied during the interview part?

I have been working and supporting myself for the past 6 years in the USA, never used any type of benefits and never even been to a Hospital.

Your answer is no, then jump to question 69

    Hi there!

I am busy printing off tax returns and tax return transcripts for each of the years my husband has filed jointly for us. I made it to this year and I am coming across a very hefty 2021 tax return which is something enormous, like 162 pages long?!

I have printed off a transcript for this already, which was about 6 pages.

For 2019 and 2020, I printed off tax return transcripts and tax returns (Form 1040) for each.

Is there any way I can get away with not printing off the tax return page (162 pages!) and just provide the transcript for 2021? Or would the fact that consistency is ruined be a problem? The transcript is still an official document, so I don't see why it would be bad to just include that piece for 2021.

    Thanks for any advice!

Transcript from irs are fine and the partial names is fine too

I'm sponsoring my husband but my current annual income doesn't meet requirements, but I start a job in the states in January that meet income requirements. Previously worked abroad and my annual salary for 2022 is above income requirements but since I stopped my job in July and moved back to states I did not earn the entire year salary making my current annual income lower than required. Should I put my annual salary from 2022 (above required amount to sponsor) or just the total amount earned in 2022  which is lower than required since I ended contract in July and moved back state side? I have been unemployed in states since July but I start a new job in January which will meet income requirements, not sure if this will be an issue.

I'm including tax transcripts from last 3 years which show meeting income requirements from last 3 years as well as documents explaining job starting in January and what my salary will be in January. It's just the current income that that is lower. Should I include anything else, maybe a letter explaining my circumstances?? Will my current annual income or being unemployed since July be an issue even with documentation on new job??

You need a joint sponsor since you dont meet the requirement.

Future salary doesnt count as crurrent income

I am so sorry she was so nasty. It always boggles my mind that people who clearly don't like immigrants work for the immigration department.

Congratulations on your upcoming oath ceremony! They never mailed us a notice for ours, but if you check back into your portal in a few days, you can find the date (or at least we were able to). I think the date was in the pdf attached to the online update.

    Thanks

I keep checking on my online account to see the pdf document.

  10. I had my interview in Indianapolis today 12/12/2022, my husband was with me but the officer didnt call him in.

i had my n-400 interview and remove of condition, the officer was a woman , very nasty and mad, she asked me the civil test question using diferents words just trying to make fail, I answered six questions and passed the test, each answer she was mad because look like she was waiting that I answer incorrectly.

after going through different personal questions about my marriage, and all the application, she said that she need more documents from me. That I would get a letter on the mail asking for more documents.

she gave a page with the mark as i passed the test, a mark on more information needed and a mark on decision an not be make yet.

But in the afternoon i checked my status and changed to oath ceremony will be scheduled.

so soon i will say I am done with USCIS

We made sure that the bar codes weren’t cut off, and I even checked it in my uscis account online once I got RFIE — everything is okay.
We filled the form so carefully checked it multiple times before sending it and sent all of the requested documents with it (full tax return with all schedules, tax return transcript, his W2s that he had, his bank statement for 6 months and the statement of pay and employment from the company that contracted him. The only things that could be a problem is insufficient last year income (which doesn’t make any sense since now his income is more than enough and I saw people being approved in the same situation) and the fact that we put his AGI income as a total income after reading this forum, which I think is the reason, since it says everywhere that we should use “total income” line 🤔

Do you remember if you put your AGI income or total income in the question 24a? Thank you for your answer

Really we were waiting that they ask for a joint sponsor, because on 2020 my friend husband only make 21 000  and on 2021 he made only 18200, both years were not anough, in both year he didnt make the income uscis requiment,  as they didnt ask for joint sponsor we sent the form with the bar code and IRS transcripts for 2021.

and she got approved without interview.

we were waiting ask for joint sponsor because also he current income is not enough , so it is as i tell my friend her case was a miracle , because they didnt see his income
